From issuing driver’s licenses and registering vehicles to maintaining the organ donor registry, incorporating business entities, and administering the state's literacy efforts, our office directly touches the lives of nearly everyone in Illinois.

EV Charging Assistance Program (EVCAP)
The Virginia Department of Energy is offering the EVCAP subaward program to work at the community level to understand and address issues surrounding the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The focus is on specific underserved communities, and the results will inform current and future EV charging deployment.
The grants are open to EV charging vendors or for collaborations between governments and technology providers.
The second round of EVCAP focuses on community-level solutions that expand charging access in historically underserved areas, including historically economically disadvantaged communities, environmental justice communities, and brownfield sites, including previously mined lands. Virginia Energy is seeking projects that not only install charging equipment, but also demonstrate project readiness, improve accessibility, report on charger usage and community impact, and help overcome barriers to electric vehicle supply equipment deployment in Virginia.

EVCAP Round 2 is funded through the federal U.S. Department of Energy State Energy Program (SEP) Formula Grant authorized under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Virginia Energy is administering these funds as a competitive subaward program.
Library Services and Technology Act Grants
The purpose of the technology sub-grants is to assist Indiana libraries with purchasing new and improved technology necessary to meet their users’ ever-changing needs for library services and to provide access to information. Libraries may use these sub-grants to better meet the technological needs of their community, or to test or implement innovative or emerging technologies. Libraries are encouraged to use the grants to provide educational, instructional, or outreach services, both inside and outside the library.
The Skills Capital Grant Program will award reimbursable contracts for the purchase and installation of capital equipment and for renovations necessary for the use of such equipment. The program is intended to enable qualified programs to purchase training equipment. Minor one-time installation costs may be included in the request, as well as requests for minor facility renovations (less than 10% of the total) necessary for the successful installation and use of the equipment. The objective of this funding is to support quality hands-on instruction by providing funding for the purchase and installation of vocational training equipment.
Louisiana Beautification Grants
The KLB Beautification Grant provides funding to help improve the appearance of communities throughout Louisiana by creating beautiful, well-maintained community entry points and roadways. This grant is made possible with funding from the State of Louisiana and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
The KLB Beautification Grant provides funding to help improve the appearance of communities throughout Louisiana by creating beautiful, well-maintained community entry points and roadways. People are less likely to litter in areas that are well maintained and beautiful, so reducing litter in highly visible areas is an additional key driver of this grant. Grant projects should enhance and beautify entry points of municipalities and parishes, or highly trafficked roadway medians and roundabout central islands. KLB seeks projects that have diverse community support, volunteer involvement, collaboration with stakeholders and benefit many community members.
Grant Type
The grant focus is to fund the purchase of native trees, shrubs, perennial plants, landscaping materials and welcome signs to enhance and beautify entry points of municipalities and parishes, or highly visible and trafficked roadway medians and roundabout center islands. Plantings must account for a sizable portion of the project.Annual plants will not be funded
Louisiana EPSCoR
Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR)
As early as FY 1988-89, the Board was co-sponsoring research projects with the National Science Foundation (NSF) and supporting the development of Louisiana’s scientific research and educational infrastructure under NSF’s Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR). The Board’s involvement in EPSCoR has grown over the years to include programs with NASA, the Department of Energy (DOE), the Department of Defense (DoD), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
LAMDA Seed Funding
The Louisiana Materials Design Alliance (LAMDA), an NSF EPSCoR RII Track-1 project, solicits proposals for LAMDA Supplemental Funding: Research Equipment Acquisition for Competitive Transformation (REACT) to support STEM research projects designed to build and strengthen the fundamental research capacity and competitiveness of Louisiana’s universities. This is a onetime supplemental funding program directed toward researchers who are at the threshold of becoming competitive on a consistent basis in the Federal and other external R&D marketplaces, or those seeking to maintain competitive status, and who—with some assistance from the supplemental funding to implement their plans to overcome whatever barriers they have identified which have stood in their way—clearly have a strong potential for enhancing their competitive status within a limited time span.
Awards are intended to partially fund purchases of small research equipment. Awards will be funded at a maximum of $20,000, and institutions must provide a minimum 20% cost match in cash. An institutional letter of commitment regarding the cash match is required.
