Neydon Scholarship for the Children of Widows

• Graduating senior from one of the following high schools: Black River, Holland Christian, Holland High School, West Ottawa, Zeeland East, or Zeeland West
• Enrolling at an accredited post-secondary school within the United States
• Financial need (must submit the page of the FAFSA Submission Summary showing the Student Aid Index amount)
• Child of a widowed mother
• Preference given to those students who are not selected to receive other types of scholarships, particularly full scholarships

Peter and Huberdina Weller Scholarship

• Graduating senior, graduating early college student, or current college student from a high school within the greater Community Foundation service area
• Enrolling/enrolled at an accredited post-secondary school within the United States
• Financial need (must submit the page of the FAFSA Submission Summary showing the Student Aid Index amount)
• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Intention to pursue educational opportunities and a career in horticulture or the biological sciences with an emphasis on botany
• All other qualifications being equal, tie-breaking consideration will be given to students of color
• Previous recipients of the award are encouraged to reapply.

• Recent graduate of an Ottawa County high school or technical school or Ottawa County adult resident making a career transition to nursing
• Pursuing a nursing degree to become a Registered Nurse (RN) through an accredited nursing program within the United States
• Priority given to past recipients who have a strong performance record in their nursing studies

Shelley Speet-Mills Creative Arts Scholarship

• Graduating senior or graduating early college student who attends public, private, or home school in the primary service area of the Community Foundation
• Enrolling at an accredited post-secondary school within the United States
• Financial need (must submit the page of the FAFSA Submission Summary showing the Student Aid Index amount)
• GPA of 3.0 or greater
• Planning to pursue a career in the arts
• Recommended by applicant’s high school art teacher
• This scholarship is potentially renewable and supports one student at a time. 

The Gloria Anderson Memorial Scholarship, administered by the Community Foundation of the Northern Alleghenies, honors a beloved music teacher and the founder of the Singing Dutchmen Men’s Chorus. This scholarship, amounting to approximately $1,000, is available to high school seniors pursuing degrees in music education or performance, particularly those from areas served by the Singing Dutchmen. It reflects the Foundation's commitment to supporting local students in their educational endeavors.

The Nurses Educational Funds, Inc. Scholarship supports professional nurses pursuing master's or doctoral degrees in nursing education, practice, research, and administration. Applicants must have at least two semesters of study remaining after the award notification, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.6, and hold a current RN license. This scholarship is based on proven excellence in nursing service and scholarship, making graduate-level nursing education accessible to dedicated professionals.

• Letter of recommendation from a person knowledgeable about your talent and accomplishments in your art form; and
• An uploaded sample of your work (maximum 3 photos or 1 short video/audio clip)

Improvements to Modeling Climate Data in Demand Forecasting

To meet California’s energy goals and produce a forecast which accounts for climate change, there is an urgent need to incorporate improved climate data, downscaled projections, and advanced modeling techniques into electricity demand forecasting, system planning tools, and resilience analyses. This solicitation seeks a contractor to provide technical expertise, climate-data processing, and modeling support aligned with ongoing interagency research efforts to continue the work on improving methods for preparing global climate model (GCM) data inputs for use in the CA energy demand forecast. In the 2024 IEPR cycle, CEC staff supported the development of downscaled, bias-corrected projections over California at a 3-kilometer by 3-kilometer spatial resolution and translating the projections into inputs to be used in the forecast to calculate impacts on annual and hourly demand. While the 2023 forecast used hourly output from four Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) models localized to specific weather stations used within the CEC’s forecast models, four additional WRF model runs became available during the 2024 cycle. Staff provided a comparison between the two vintages of model run, and the potential impacts of using the new model results which suggest a significantly warmer climate. These findings result in higher loads if used in the forecast. The 2024 and 2025 IEPR cycles have continued to use the initial WRF run data, but work has continued to understand potential ways to incorporate the new WRF model data. This includes analyzing impacts on peak demand, and average level of heating degree days (HDD) and cooling degree days (CDD) from the initial and new WRF runs.

The Energy Commission seeks a contractor to assist in the following activities:

• Incorporate the improved climate data, downscaled projections, and advanced modeling techniques into electricity and gas demand forecasting and system planning
• Provide technical expertise on climate-data processing and modeling support aligned with interagency research efforts of improving the use of GCM outputs in demand forecasting
• Assess characteristic differences between the available sets of GCM outputs
• Analyze, process, and compare large datasets such as historical weather station data, climate model outputs, and CEC demand model inputs
• Prepare climate-impacted projections of weather-related energy supply and demand model inputs including HDD, CDD, temperature, windspeed, cloud cover, solar irradiance, and water availability.

There is $400,000 available for the contract resulting from this RFP. This is an hourly rate plus cost reimbursement contract and the award will be made to the responsible Bidder receiving the highest points.

The NABG is honored to provide scholarships to Undergraduate and Graduate students enrolled full-time in Geoscience programs at an accredited college or university.

Scholarship candidates must demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to the mission of NABG. The purpose of the scholarship is to prepare candidates to be the workforce of the future.

We administer a number of scholarships, which range from the traditional academic and athletic awards to corporate and special circumstances offerings. These scholarships are open to all residents of Marshall County, as long as other requirements are met.

Walter A. Glaub/Marshall County Industrial Association Scholarship Fund

The purpose of the fund is to provide one or more annual scholarships to a graduating Marshall County high school senior(s) living in Marshall County, Indiana. 

These scholarships will be applied toward expenses at any accredited college, university, trade, or technical school during the coming year. 

The Walter A. Glaub/Marshall County Industrial Association Scholarship fund is not renewable annually to previous recipients.

The purpose of this fund is to provide one or more annual scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are residents or are attending schools in either Marshall County, Indiana or Starke County, Indiana who are pursuing a career in broadcasting.

This scholarship may be renewable to previous recipients.

Grand Haven Area Community Foundation scholarships are awarded competitively based on criteria set by donors. These criteria could include financial need, the school the applicant is attending, academic achievement, as well as personal or career goals. The Community Foundation has a rigorous internal selection process for each scholarship decision, and each applicant is reviewed in depth, and considered thoroughly.

Our scholarship program is simple. You are able to apply once for all foundation scholarships you may be eligible for. Once your application is submitted, you will be eligible for all those for which you meet the requirement.

Allendale Community Foundation Scholarship

This scholarship was established by the Allendale Community Foundation and Allendale Charter Township as a way to support a graduate residing in Allendale Charter Township who wishes to pursue a post-secondary education.
