The Community Granting Program is a philanthropic program that makes investments that address significant health needs of local communities. The Foundation will partner with and provide funding to local organizations that are leading the way to build healthier communities.

The McCullough-Hyde Foundation invites proposals from organizations for programs and projects that focus on education, prevention programs, awareness efforts, wellness opportunities and direct care in the following areas:

Programs and projects that prevent, manage, and reduce the burden of chronic conditions including, but not limited to, heart disease, hypertension, stroke, and diabetes. Eligible initiatives may focus on education, early detection, care coordination, wellness promotion, and access to treatment and support services.

Programs and projects that promote and sustain healthy lifestyle choices, including, but not limited to, physical activity, nutrition, tobacco cessation, and preventive care. Eligible initiatives should be community-centered and designed to empower individuals and families to take control of their health through activities, education, engagement, and improved access to wellness opportunities that support active living, particularly among youth and families.

Programs and projects that improve access to and quality of mental health and substance use services, reduce stigma, and promote emotional well-being across all age groups. Eligible initiatives may include, but are not limited to, prevention, early intervention, treatment, recovery support, education, and outreach related to conditions including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, and addiction.

Programs and projects that address the underlying social and economic conditions influencing health outcomes, including, but not limited to, access to healthcare, food, housing, transportation, education and employment. Eligible initiatives should aim to reduce barriers to health and wellness by improving the environments where people live, work, and play.

The Mid-Atlantic Panel on Aquatic Invasive Species Grant Program invites proposals for funding to tackle aquatic invasive species (AIS) challenges. Key priorities include research on AIS management, innovative control methods, and educational outreach. Eligible applicants range from individuals in government agencies to non-profit organizations. The program seeks to support initiatives that align with the Aquatic Nuisance Species Task Force standards and aims to enhance regional AIS management strategies.

Governor’s Office of Community Service aka ServeMontana

Established in 1993, Montana’s Commission on Community Service administers grants under the National and Community Service Trust Act of 1993, amended by the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act of 2009 and the Montana Community Service Act of 1994 (MCA 90-14-103). In partnership with the Montana Commission on Community Service, a primary function of the Governor’s Office of Community Service (GOCS) is administering funds to AmeriCorps State programs. 

AmeriCorps Montana

AmeriCorps State grants aid programs in addressing critical community needs, including Education, Disaster Services, Health, Environmental Stewardship, Economic Opportunity, and service to Veterans and Military Families. Grants must align with priorities in the Montana State Service Plan.

Eligible organizations may apply for the following AmeriCorps grants to address pressing needs in Montana: Competitive Program Grants; and Formula Program Grants.

Formula Program Grants

Implement or continue a Formula AmeriCorps State program.

This Notice is the first step an applicant must complete to apply for and receive AmeriCorps State Formula funding. ServeMontana’s role is to solicit, screen, and rank applications. All applications cleared through screening will be ranked and submitted to AmeriCorps for funding determination.

Organizations proposing a new AmeriCorps State program or continuing a currently formula funded program that places AmeriCorps members and operates only in Montana must apply to this competition.

Expectations of All Applicants

• Address rural, Tribal, underserved, or areas of poverty not currently served by AmeriCorps programs;
• Clearly connect proposed activities to the needs and priorities in the Montana State Service Plan;
• Take a collaborative approach to program planning, design, and delivery;
• Recruit Montanans to serve in their local community; and
• Design and deliver an inclusive program that is accessible to individuals with disabilities

The Dr. Richard W. Adams Charitable Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations and governmental units in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Eligible organizations must be 501c3 entities and demonstrate proven success in innovative programs targeting underserved children from birth to 5th grade. The Southeast Asian Economic Disparities Relief Competitive Grant aims to alleviate economic disparities within Southeast Asian communities by funding workforce recruitment, development, job creation, and capacity-building initiatives. The Columbus REALTORS® Foundation, established in 1991, provides essential emergency financial assistance to members of the Columbus Association of REALTORS® and their families facing extreme circumstances. With a commitment to improving the housing environment in central Ohio, the Foundation has invested over $600,000 in the community. This benevolence fund aims to support those in urgent need where other resources fall short, reinforcing its role as a key partner in affordable housing initiatives.

The Quality of Life Grants Program, managed by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, provides funding of up to $25,000 for projects that support individuals living with paralysis. This program emphasizes community engagement and health promotion in all U.S. states and territories. It focuses on funding initiatives that directly impact those affected by various conditions, such as spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis, fostering inclusion and well-being.

The Jane Deming Fund Grant, managed by the Orange County Community Foundation, focuses on supporting musical activities and education for under-served youth in Orange County. The grant is dedicated to projects that involve stringed instruments, provide tuition for music camps, purchase instruments for promising students, and produce performances that reach new audiences. This fund reflects Jane Deming's commitment to enhancing community engagement through music.

The Carl and Marilynn Thoma Foundation offers Special Project Funding to support innovative initiatives in the arts, particularly in under-resourced areas. This grant encourages collaborative projects that enhance community engagement and education, focusing on art exhibitions and scholarships in the greater Texas Panhandle. The Forest Collaboratives Grant Program, established by the Oregon Legislature in 2013, aims to enhance restoration efforts on federal forests in Oregon. By providing funding through a competitive process, it supports collaborative groups in developing and implementing restoration projects that focus on vegetation management on USFS- and BLM-managed lands. The Charlotte Mecklenburg Community Foundation's Family Stability Grant aims to enhance the quality of life for residents of Mecklenburg County. By investing between $10,000-$50,000 in eligible organizations, the grant focuses on family formation, financial security, innovative housing solutions, and parental engagement. The foundation seeks to empower families through education, support, and resources, ultimately breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty and fostering community involvement.

The Greenspring Grant Program, established in 2012, focuses on supporting local non-profits dedicated to economic and workforce development. With $100,000 in grants ranging from $10,000 to $15,000, the program is entirely employee-run, allowing teams to select deserving organizations. Eligible entities include 501(c)(3) non-profits in Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, while special consideration is given to local initiatives aimed at recovery, youth, and underserved populations.

The Linnean Macleay Fellowship, established in 1905 by the Linnean Society of New South Wales, supports research in Natural History and related sciences. Funded by a bequest from Sir William Macleay, the Fellowship is available to members of the Society who reside in New South Wales and hold a Science degree from the University of Sydney. It is tenable for one year but can be renewed for up to five years, contingent on satisfactory progress.

Cardinals Charities

Founded in 1990, Cardinals Charities supports programs designed to improve the quality of life and enhance opportunities for children, women, and minorities in the state of Arizona.

Cardinals Charities' grants are awarded on an annual basis in response to applications from various qualified non-profit organizations whose goals and programs align with the mission statement.

Since its inception, Cardinals Charities has distributed more than 9.1 million dollars to hundreds of worthy charitable organizations on behalf of the Arizona Cardinals and the National Football League.

Grants are awarded on an annual basis in response to applications from non-profit 501(c)(3) qualified organizations whose goals and programs meet our mission statement. We make every effort to direct our contributions where they can have the greatest impact while addressing the most critical needs. Funding is limited to the success of Cardinals Charities' own fund-raising efforts during the year.

The Organization Collaboration Grant Program, offered by the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board (OWEB), aims to foster strategic collaborations that enhance local organizations' sustainability and ecological outcomes. Eligible applicants include groups that support these efforts, especially those with a watershed council, soil and water conservation district, or land trust. Grants can go up to $75,000, enabling organizations to evaluate structures or pursue mergers to improve service delivery and community engagement.
