The Housing for Everyone Grant Competition, part of the 2026 Initiative, aims to support eviction prevention in low-to moderate-income communities. This 20th annual initiative recognizes the destabilizing impact of eviction and displacement on families, which leads to job loss, school disruptions, and health issues. By funding innovative organizations, the competition seeks to provide stability for renters, enabling them to stay in their homes and communities.

The TD Bank Community Sponsorships Program, supported by the TD Charitable Foundation, provides funding for events and activities that positively impact communities from Maine to Florida. This initiative aims to enhance community awareness and foster partnerships among diverse groups, promoting economic development, cultural enrichment, and social responsibility. Organizations can apply for funding to support community-oriented programs, with applications reviewed quarterly. It's essential to submit applications at least 90 days before the event deadlines.

The Jean Griswold Foundation

The Jean Griswold Foundation (JGF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Caregivers through educational opportunities and scholarships. 

Our Mission

The mission of the Jean Griswold Foundation is to support Caregivers by providing educational scholarships* to enable them to further their training, enhance their careers, and better assist the clients they serve.

By offering educational scholarships*, our Foundation will not only make a positive impact on the Caregivers themselves, but also the clients they assist and the home healthcare agencies where they are employed, as well as help advance the overarching home-care industry.

Scholarships will be paid directly to the federally accredited educational institutions of the winning Scholars’ choosing.

Empowering Caregivers Through Education

The Jean Griswold Foundation Scholarship Program awards scholarships to deserving Caregivers who wish to further their education in a care-related field. Applicants do not have to be associated with Griswold in any way, and the funds will be paid directly to the institution where the caregiver will be receiving education.

CFF Grassroots Grants

Grants will focus on building infrastructure and capability for grassroots nonprofits. Infrastructure and capability may include efforts to improve governance, financial management, fundraising and development, program evaluation, technology, and continuous learning.

This year, we are looking for organizations working in human services, education, veterans, food security, Alzheimer’s, youth development, and health and well-being.

Award amount:

Nonprofit organizations supporting individuals and families with autism in Volusia County, Florida can seek up to US $15,000 for programs that make an immediate community impact. With a mission to help people with autism live life to the fullest, the Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism funds work/school, active/social, and safety/support initiatives, including in Central Florida.

Nonprofit organizations providing high-quality early childhood education and school-readiness programs can use this funding for initiatives in vocabulary, social-emotional learning, math, science, and the arts. Grants from PNC Foundation help Volusia County, Florida 501(c)(3)s strengthen outcomes for children from birth to age five as part of the Grow Up Great initiative.

The Brinker International Charitable Giving Program focuses on giving back to communities through support for kids, hunger, and education. Organizations eligible for funding must be 501c(3) non-profits and submit requests at least six weeks prior to events. The program does not support individuals, political or religious organizations, or explicit discrimination policies. Funding is provided through monetary donations or in-kind contributions like dining certificates.

The Enbridge Safe Community First Responder Program is designed to support emergency response organizations across Canada and the U.S. by providing grants for safety equipment, training, and educational programs. Launched in 2002, it has invested over $22 million in enhancing community safety. Eligible organizations include fire departments and medical services located near Enbridge operations. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $10,000, helping improve the capabilities of first responders in rural and underserved areas.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations with budgets under $500,000 serving youth in Volusia County, Florida and nearby counties can apply for micro grants up to US $10,000 to launch or expand programs. Grants from Orlando Magic Youth Foundation support projects in arts, education, health and wellness, and homelessness for Central Florida youth.

The Duke Energy Foundation offers Local Impact Grants of up to $20,000 aimed at promoting vibrant economies, climate resiliency, and justice, equity, and inclusion. These grants are available year-round and support workforce development, community revitalization, and environmental projects. Eligible organizations must have tax-exempt status and serve communities in Florida counties served by Duke Energy, while ensuring non-discrimination and measurable community impact.

Publix Cares Scholarship 

Publix Cares Scholarship for eligible students attending in one of the following institutions: Benedict College, Bethune-Cookman University, Clark Atlanta University, Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Morehouse College, Savanah State University, Spelman College, Tennessee State University, University of Central Florida, & Virginia State University.

The Elizabeth Morse Genius Foundation provides funding to support charitable, educational, religious, and scientific initiatives that benefit the Central Florida area. Established in 1959, the foundation has supported various institutions, including the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum and Rollins College. Grants can range from a few thousand dollars to over $1 million, with a focus on organizations exempt from federal taxation under 501(c)(3). Organizations may apply once per funding cycle, but repetitive funding is discouraged.

Volusia County, Florida local governments and nonprofit entities working on water resource and waste management can access funding through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to improve Indian River Lagoon water quality. Eligible projects include wastewater upgrades, septic-to-sewer conversions, stormwater management, and related efforts that strengthen the Indian River Lagoon Protection Program.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations working on affordable housing, skilled trades, clean water, sanitation, or community development within Ferguson’s U.S. service areas can apply for Ferguson’s Ferguson Cares Grant. Volusia County, Florida nonprofits may be eligible if they operate in a county where Ferguson has a strong business presence and meet the stated focus areas.

The Clay Electric Foundation Grants support charitable and educational initiatives that improve lives in the counties served by Clay Electric Cooperative. Established in 1937, this member-owned organization distributes funds collected through Operation Round Up to eligible applicants operating within these counties. Organizations such as churches, schools, and government entities may apply, but direct applications from for-profit entities or political organizations are not accepted. The Foundation is committed to enhancing community welfare through its funding.

Academy Sports + Outdoors, a leading sporting goods retailer, supports community initiatives by providing donations to registered 501(c)(3) organizations. Their focus is on promoting safety and responsibility in sports and outdoor activities. Proposals must foster community engagement and must not be affiliated with religious or political groups. Events should take place in areas with Academy stores, ensuring a positive local impact while encouraging active lifestyles and connection among community members.

2025 Urban & Community Forestry Natural Disaster and Recovery Supplement

The scope of this program is designed to improve and reestablish urban forests in 56 peninsular Florida counties that were negatively impacted by Hurricanes Idalia, Helene, and Milton. These efforts will emphasize not just tree planting but also pruning and efforts to enhance urban forest resiliency through strong planning methods. The primary purpose is to not just replace lost canopy, but to ensure that the urban forest is more resilient to future storms, enhancing the likelihood of long-term recovery. The State of Florida anticipates an allocation of $1,500,000 to applicants through this funding opportunity.

Nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and government entities in Volusia County, Florida can seek funding for workforce development, climate resiliency, and inclusion initiatives. Focused on community development and environmental stewardship, the Duke Energy Foundation invites applicants serving its utility communities to request up to US $20,000 for measurable, program-specific projects rather than general operations or capital needs.

Franklin's Friends offers Animal Welfare Grants to support local nonprofits and government agencies in Central Florida. Nonprofit executives serving Volusia County, Florida and nearby Central Florida counties can receive more than US $11,000 in professional development support, including a Nonprofit Executive Leadership Certificate and flexible training funds. With a mission to strengthen nonprofit leadership, Orlando Magic Youth Foundation provides 501(c)(3) leaders with education, travel coverage, and organizational support to expand their impact.
