Rapid Impact Research Award
Purpose
The American Heart Association continuously seeks innovative ideas to address the most pressing issues impacting cardiovascular and brain health. To that end, the Association is pleased to announce the Rapid Impact Research Award program, which will support early and mid-career investigators proposing innovative research that aligns with the Association’s mission. Novel basic, clinical and/or population health proposals are invited in the following three priority areas of research.
Applicants will be asked to indicate alignment of their proposal with one or more of the topic areas listed above.

The Raptor Research Foundation (RRF) is the world’s largest professional society for raptor researchers and conservationists. Founded in 1966 as a non-profit organization, our primary goal is the accumulation and dissemination of scientific information about raptors. The Foundation organizes annual scientific conferences and provides competitive grants and awards for researchers and conservationists. The Foundation also provides support and networking opportunities for students and early career raptor researchers.
“Wings to Fly” Travel Grant
The Award: The “Wings to Fly” grant supports travel from outside the U.S. and Canada for four to five raptor researchers or conservationists to present a paper or poster at our annual meeting.
Each grant will include support for airfare, visa fees, and food and lodging, as well as waived conference registration fees and a one-year membership to RRF.

Renewal Details
May be renewable for up to four consecutive years. Renewal applications may be considered provided the recipient remains in good standing with his or her college/university. Renewal award amounts may differ from the original award. A new recipient for the award will be identified once every four years.
Cohen Cares Scholarship
We offer a scholarship for current Cohen employees participating in the Cohen Cares employee giving program and/or their dependents. Must be pursuing a college degree and/or a trade school certification.
Scholarships are non-renewable, but students may apply each year. Scholarship amounts are $2,500 for college and $500 for technical school.
Applications are open year-round. After we receive all application requirements, we internally review applications and make decisions within two weeks of receipt. An email will be sent to the applicant to complete follow up requirements.
Scholarship payments are sent directly to the school.
Marshall High School Scholarship
The Alison Shuemake Scholarship is for a Marshall High School senior and graduates pursing an academic or technical degree or certification.
Applications are open year-round. After we receive all application requirements, we internally review applications and make decisions within two weeks of receipt. An email will be sent to the applicant to complete follow up requirements.
Scholarship payments are sent directly to the school.
South Carolina State Firefighters’ Association Grant
Foundation grants are awarded to assist individuals who experience tragedy or hardship due to circumstances beyond their control and demonstrate a financial or otherwise immediate need. The grants are available for those who experience natural disasters, home fires, medical emergency, act of terrorism or otherwise personal tragedy. Submit an application, letter from local Fire Chief and statistical information to the Association’s office in Columbia.
How much are grants?
An individual may receive more than one grant. Each grant request will be evaluated separately. The Foundation will determine whether to award multiple grants based on all relevant factors, including the individual’s need and particular circumstances, the total amount of funds that the Foundation has available for grants, and the amount and needs of other applicants. The grant recipient may receive a minimum of $250 and maximum of $1,500 per grant awarded.
We manage one of the largest scholarship programs in our area, with more than $182,000 committed to students in over 70 new and renewed scholarships awarded each year.

Mason-Oceana-Manistee Board of Realtors Scholarship
This scholarship has been made possible by the generosity of the Mason-Oceana-Manistee Board of Realtors members, who established the Mason-Oceana-Manistee Board of Realtors Scholarship Fund of the Community Foundation for Mason County.
The Mason-Oceana-Manistee Board of Realtors created this Scholarship Fund to benefit graduating seniors from any Mason, Oceana, or Manistee County High. This fund supports a student from each county every year.

Community Foundation of Henderson County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public charity, governed by a volunteer board of directors, that has been assisting donors fulfill their philanthropic dreams since 1982.
Community Foundation of Henderson County was incorporated in 1982 by a group of fourteen dedicated and compassionate local leaders with the immediate need to manage two funds - the William C. Armstrong Scholarship Fund and the Charlie Renfrow Scholarship Fund, in addition to providing a permanent vehicle for citizens to give back to their community.
Dan and Amy Pace Scholarship
This scholarship provides financial support to students who are graduates of a public high school in Henderson County and who plan to pursue a certification to teach high school English.
