The Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM)’s mission is to improve the quality of life of District residents through advocacy, community outreach, education, and inter-agency coordination. The Mayor's Office of Community Affairs (MOCA) serves as a liaison to the city's diverse communities, ensuring residents' voices are heard and represented. Through MOCA, EOM serves as the liaison between the District Government and various District communities, including, but not limited to the returning citizens community, the Asian and Pacific Islander community, the Latino community, the African community, the African American community, the LGBTQ+ community, the Veterans community, the women’s community, the Caribbean community, and the faith community.1 EOM invites all CBOs that serve these communities and more within the District to apply for this grant to advance the below funding priorities
Healthy Heart Initiative for Men
The District of Columbia, Department of Health (DC Health) is requesting proposals from qualified applicants to provide services in the program and service areas described in this Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). This announcement is to provide public notice of DC Health's intent to make funds available for the purpose described herein. The applicable Request for Applications (RFA) will be released under a separate announcement with guidelines for submitting the application, review criteria and DC Health terms and conditions for applying for and receiving funding.
Funding Opportunity Description:
This funding opportunity aims to identify a community-based organization to launch a community-based mobile outreach initiative that leverages trusted community influencers to engage Black men living in Wards 7 and 8, connecting them to primary care services and essential social supports.
Department of Behavioral Health
The Department of Behavioral Health provides prevention, intervention and treatment services and supports for children, youth and adults with mental and/or substance use disorders including emergency psychiatric care and community-based outpatient and residential services.
DBH serves eligible adults, children and youth and their families through a network of community based providers and unique government delivered services. It operates Saint Elizabeths Hospital—the District’s inpatient psychiatric facility.
Hospital -Based Peers Support Services
The Government of the District of Columbia, Department of Behavioral Health, Adult Services Administration is soliciting applications from qualified organizations to implement the Hospital-Based Peer Support Services program under the District of Columbia Opioid Response (DCOR) grant. The DCOR grant, guided by LIVE.LONG.DC.(LLDC), is focused on increasing access to medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) treatment, reducing unmet treatment needs, and reducing opioid overdose-related deaths in the District of Columbia through the provision of prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery support services (RSS) to individuals with stimulant use disorder (STUD) and opioid use disorder (OUD).
Target Population
The target population is individuals who have OUD and/or STUD that receive care in a participating hospital within the District of Columbia. Individuals may be in the hospital ED or an inpatient unit for OUD/STUD-related reasons (e.g., overdose or injection-related infection) or for any other reason.
Department of Energy and Environment
The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is the leading authority on energy and environmental issues affecting the District of Columbia. Using a combination of regulations, outreach, education, and incentives, our agency administers programs and services to fulfill our mission. We work collaboratively with other government agencies, residents, businesses, and institutions to promote environmentally responsible behavior that will lead to a more sustainable urban environment.
Private Fleet Diesel Electrification and Low-NOx
The Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) solicits grant applications from eligible entities. The goal of this Request for Applications (RFA) is to improve public health by reducing diesel emissions in the District by replacing class 4+ medium- or heavy-duty diesel-powered vehicles with zero-emission vehicle equivalents. The number and amount of grants will vary depending on DOEE’s evaluation of the applications.
Purpose of the Grant
The purpose of this grant is to select and replace diesel vehicles with zero-emission vehicle equivalents, when these replacements will have a significant community benefit. DOEE will rebate a portion of the cost of vehicle replacements in fleets owned by non governmental organizations, faith-based organizations, universities, or private enterprises.
General Operating Support (GOS)
The DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities (CAH) is soliciting applications from qualified arts, humanities, or arts education organizations for its Fiscal Year 2027 General Operating Support Grant Program (GOS). Award amounts vary. An award to an individual organization with an annual operating budget exceeding $115,000 may not exceed 50% of the organization's annual operating budget exclusive of funds granted by the Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
Applicants may submit one (1) grant application to this program per fiscal year cycle.
Multi-year Applicants
Applicant organization must have received funding through CAH’s GOS Single Year grant program in FY26. Additionally, applicant organization must have received funding for two additional years in one of CAH’s GOS grant programs between FY22 and FY25.
Organizations in receipt of funding through GOS in the FY26 cycle along with funding for two yearsof GOS grant cycles between FY22 and FY25 are eligible to apply to the multi-year cycle. All applicants to this cohort will undergo internal compliance review but will not be paneled by a peer review committee. Should applicant organizations be deemed eligible, CAH will endeavor to fund them as close to the funding level received in their FY26 award. Organizations must reapply to the GOS program as Single Year applicants following the second year of multi-year funding. There is no third year of multi-year funding.
General Operating Support (GOS)

Capacity Building Applicants
Applicant organizations must not have previously received a competitive grant award from CAH.
This category consists of arts and humanities organizations whose primary purpose is to present and/or produce arts and humanities experiences for the residents of, and visitors to, the District of Columbia. This cohort will support arts and humanities organizations that have not previously been awarded a competitive grant by CAH. Organizations must have been in operation for at least one year by the start of the fiscal year to which they are applying. Capacity Building needs can include but are not limited to staff training, longer organizational initiatives, and sector-strengthening that increases access and awareness of programs for the DC community.
Pharmacy Wellness Hub: Diabetes Prevention, Management and Self Measured Blood Pressure (SMBP) Programs
This funding opportunity supports pharmacies who are implementing and evaluating evidence-based and evidence-informed strategies to prevent and manage diabetes and cardiovascular disease (CVD) in the District of Columbia. Specific emphasis is placed on the prevention and control of hypertension and diabetes.
Preterm Birth Reduction Initiative RFA
DC Health aims to reduce racial/ethnic disparities in preterm birth and infant mortality in the District of Columbia. Funding under this RFA will support the implementation of evidence-based strategies to reduce maternal risk factors and the occurrence of preterm births among high-risk District residents.

Gerstbrein/McCanna Scholarship for the Arts
After a long and rewarding career in Landscape Design and Art Education, Lisa Gerstbrein/McCanna wanted to promote the Arts and Industrial Arts in the community where she made her home and her livelihood. Her career brought her tremendous joy in pursuits that she loved as well as the satisfying reward of helping students find inspiration in the worlds of Art and Industrial Art. She is a true believer in the concept of STEAM based education. Accordingly, she established a fund to provide scholarships for the advanced education of advancing Senior High School Students in these areas who are residents of Armstrong County, Pennsylvania and are pursuing higher education in an approved program within 300 miles of their respective school - Armstrong High School, West Shamokin High School or Lenape Technical School.
