Search Through School Health Grants in Florida

The BMS Community Giving program supports IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations addressing unmet medical needs, promoting STEM education, and providing essential services. Eligible organizations must serve communities in the U.S. where BMS employees reside. Applications are accepted year-round, with a recommendation to submit at least eight weeks in advance. The program prioritizes health-related public missions and requests that fit within BMS's therapeutic interests, while excluding political, discriminatory, and sectarian organizations.

Conservation and beautification efforts are not only essential to environmental health but also to individual and community well-being. Research consistently shows that time spent in nature supports both physical and mental health, especially for children. Equally important is our dedication to supporting veterans. We recognize the sacrifices made by servicemen and women and believe they deserve meaningful pathways to recovery, healing, and renewed purpose. That’s why we invest in programs that provide therapeutic support, service animals, respite opportunities, and community-centered initiatives that help veterans and their families thrive. The P/Arts Program

The P/Arts Program was created to strengthen connections between the philanthropic, arts, and education communities, fostering meaningful collaborations that enrich learning and inspire growth.

Eligible applicants must be accredited 501(c)(3) organizations that integrate visual and/or performing arts education into their work. Through P/Arts, we seek to support programs that:

• Revitalize learning by enhancing and transforming outdated public school curricula.
• Motivate and inspire students of all ages, encouraging curiosity, creativity, and lifelong learning.
• Empower educators by deepening professional development opportunities for teachers, professors, and childcare providers.
• Bridge the gap between school and home, creating continuity in learning and support for children and families.
• Apply evidence-based, arts-based instruction proven to strengthen both academic and personal outcomes.
• Address inequities in education by helping to close the achievement gap and expand access to high-quality learning opportunities.

At its heart, the P/Arts Program reflects our belief that the arts are a powerful driver of educational transformation, unlocking potential not just in the classroom but in entire communities.

The Pew Biomedical Scholars Program offers significant funding of $300,000 over four years to support early-career researchers in biomedical sciences. The program encourages innovative and impactful research that contributes to human health, requiring nomination from one of the 212 participating institutions. Candidates must hold a doctorate, run an independent lab as an assistant professor, and demonstrate exceptional promise. This program fosters collaboration and annual meetings for scholars to present their findings.

The Track Shack Youth Foundation Grant supports youth programs in Central Florida, emphasizing health and fitness initiatives. Established in 1994, the foundation has invested over $2 million in the community, primarily targeting Orange and surrounding counties. Grants typically range from $500 to $2,000. The foundation prioritizes funding for ongoing programs rather than one-time events and does not cover race entry fees, focusing on sustainable community development.

The Alvah H. and Wyline P. Chapman Foundation offers grants to support charitable, educational, and community-focused initiatives, primarily in Florida and Georgia. Eligible applicants must be IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organizations. The foundation prioritizes projects that address children's welfare, education, multicultural understanding, substance abuse prevention, and homelessness. Grants typically do not exceed $15,000, and proposals must be endorsed by a Foundation Director. Interested parties should submit a Letter of Inquiry for consideration.

Grants of up to $1,035,000 over three years are available, fostering collaboration and transformative research aligned with the foundation's mission.

The Competitive Grants program by the Community Foundation for Brevard empowers local nonprofits to address pressing community needs through targeted funding in areas like education, health, and environmental stewardship. With a focus on supporting organizations that enrich community life, this initiative fosters collaboration and innovation. Grants are available to eligible nonprofits that have been operational for at least two years and meet specific criteria. This funding aims to enhance the quality of life in Brevard County and promote sustainable community development.

The Gladys Brooks Foundation supports innovative projects in libraries, education, hospitals, and clinics. Grants focus on resource endowments, capital construction, and equipment aimed at improving public access to information and educational resources. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations located in specific states and demonstrate that projects will be funded primarily by the grant. Applications for direct salary support or research projects are not accepted.

The Cordelia Lee Beattie Foundation, established in 1973, focuses on supporting Sarasota County, Florida, through scholarships for deserving individuals regardless of race or background. It particularly emphasizes opportunities in music and fine arts, aligning with Cordelia Beattie's passions. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) exempt and grants are specifically targeted for cultural initiatives within Sarasota County. The Scaife Family Foundation Grant has been supporting vulnerable community members for nearly 40 years, providing over $180 million in donations to non-profits. Nominees must be Florida-based and demonstrate a commitment to addressing health disparities and promoting overall well-being, aligning with the Foundation's priorities of improving health, food security, and mental health.

The LGBTQ Social Justice & Equity Fund Grant Program aims to foster a more understanding and supportive environment for LGBTQ individuals in Broward County. With a focus on promoting racial justice and equity, the fund encourages organizations that serve the LGBTQ community, particularly those that are BIPOC-led. By addressing disparities in health, education, and safety, this initiative seeks to enhance the well-being of all residents and support impactful projects that advance LGBTQ rights.

The Community Foundation of Broward invites applications for the Social Justice Request for Proposals, aimed at fostering equity for the LGBTQ community. The Florida Breast Cancer Foundation (FBCF) offers education grants for Florida organizations, providing up to $7,500 for single-county projects and up to $15,000 for multi-county initiatives. These grants aim to enhance educational outreach regarding breast cancer through various formats, including one-on-one sessions and virtual technology. Eligible applicants include Florida-based non-profits and educational institutions. Funding supports projects that last a minimum of 12 months and require at least two educational sessions during the grant period.
