Dell Rapids Community Fund Grant 

The Dell Rapids Community Fund was created by and for local citizens to improve the quality of life right here in our community. Gifts to the Fund grow over time thanks to the benefit of a pooled investment that generates long-term asset growth.

Through the power of endowment, more than $80,000 has been granted to nonprofits and causes throughout the Dell Rapids area, touching the lives of people right here at home.

The Community Impact Grants: Fund for Greater Salina provides unrestricted funding to meet various charitable needs in the Salina area. Organizations can apply for grants up to $15,000 annually, with a maximum of $10,000 from the Community Impact Grant. This fund is supported by generous donors and aims to address evolving community challenges while prioritizing non-profit projects. Applications are open to diverse groups, ensuring flexibility in funding allocation.

The Stillwater Community Foundation Grant aims to empower local organizations by providing financial support and resources. This initiative helps small organizations raise funds, build endowments, and spearhead special projects, ensuring a brighter future for the community. By collaborating with the Communities Foundation of Oklahoma, the foundation streamlines operations and focuses on addressing community needs effectively. Together, they strive to create a lasting impact and improve the quality of life in Stillwater.

The Community Foundation of Fort Valley Fund Grant Program supports projects in Fort Valley and nearby areas, focusing on non-sectarian community outreach initiatives. Eligible applicants include nonprofits, higher education institutions, and faith-based organizations. The average grant amount is $2,500, with only one proposal allowed per nonprofit within a twelve-month period. This funding opportunity aims to enhance local community engagement and outreach efforts.

The Central Montcalm Community Foundation offers the Discretionary Fund Grant to address unanticipated community needs beyond standard application periods. This fund utilizes annual earnings from permanent endowments, ensuring principal amounts remain intact. By engaging in fundraising events and accepting designated contributions, the Foundation aims to support various programs that enhance the quality of life for Central Montcalm residents, providing essential resources to local organizations throughout the year.

The Fred L. Emerson Foundation Grant focuses on impactful and sustainable projects primarily in Upstate New York, especially in Auburn and surrounding areas. The Foundation seeks innovative initiatives that address community needs and encourages collaboration with other funders. It does not support individuals or for-profit entities and emphasizes projects that demonstrate potential for significant community benefit. Organizations are required to report on project outcomes and sustainability, aligning with the Foundation's mission to honor Fred L. Emerson's legacy of generosity.

The Albert & Ethel Herzstein Charitable Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations that create positive change in communities. Focused on enhancing lives and providing opportunities for self-improvement, the foundation prioritizes requests from organizations in the Houston area and Texas. Eligible applicants may submit one request per year, ensuring a fair assessment process. Note that grants are not available to individuals, and lobbying efforts may adversely affect the consideration of applications.

FCFP is North Central PA’s most established vehicle for local charitable giving. Our mission is a big one, and our work can seem complex. But ultimately, it comes down to inspiring community giving and investing in community good.

Our love for North Central PA runs deep. And our knowledge of these communities is broad.

While our efforts are focused in Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, and Union Counties, our work reaches into Bradford, Clinton, Columbia, Potter, Sullivan, and Tioga Counties through scholarships, as well as donors and their geographic area funds.

2026 Community Grant Program

• One $110,000 Grant for Greater Susquehanna Valley counties – Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Union.
• One $110,000 Grant for Lycoming County.
• Programs/projects must either have a total budget of $110,000 or if over $110,000 the other funding sources must be committed by August 31, 2026

The CFCC Competitive Grants program aims to enhance charitable giving in Crawford County, Indiana, supporting area nonprofit organizations. Applications are reviewed in two cycles: those submitted by March 1st receive awards by April, while submissions from March 2nd to September 1st are awarded by October. Since its inception, the program has allocated over $8 million towards local initiatives, embodying values of accountability, excellence, and community responsiveness.

The Princeton Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts offers interdisciplinary fellowships in humanities and related social sciences. Open to diverse applicants, the program emphasizes innovative scholarship and teaching, with postdoctoral fellows conducting research while teaching at the University. The Society fosters a collaborative community, creating opportunities for intellectual exchange and growth, particularly welcoming underrepresented backgrounds and ensuring a rich diversity of perspectives in academia.

The Princeton Society of Fellows in the Liberal Arts offers postdoctoral fellowships in the humanities, fostering interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching. Committed to diversity, the Society invites applications from individuals with various experiences, particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds. Fellows engage in research and teaching, contributing to a collaborative academic community. This prestigious fellowship includes opportunities for local and international field trips, workshops, and events aimed at enriching the educational experience for undergraduates in the Program in Humanistic Studies.

The Community Foundation of Shelby County offers grants to recognized 501(c)(3) organizations and government entities that benefit Shelby County residents. Priorities include efficient resource use, collaboration among organizations, and innovative approaches to community issues. Applicants must provide specific project details, including funding requests and timelines. Note that certain projects, such as ongoing operational funding or those not serving Shelby County, are ineligible. For more details, contact the Grants Administrator before applying.

The Northern Monterey County Foundation Grant, established in 2016, aims to support nonprofit organizations addressing community needs in Northern Monterey County. Grants are available for program, operating, and capital support, with a focus on projects that demonstrate sustainability and impact. Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 nonprofits and public programs. The grant prioritizes initiatives benefiting local communities like Castroville and Pajaro, while excluding funding for political, religious, or individual efforts.

The PLTW Engineering program in Georgia aims to support public and charter schools lacking PLTW Engineering implementation. Eligible schools in specific counties can apply for a total grant of $35,000, disbursed over two years. Funds can be used for participation fees, required equipment, and related expenses. This initiative promotes STEM education, enhancing student engagement and opportunities in engineering fields while ensuring a comprehensive reporting mechanism for sustainability.

Illinois Humanities offers General Operating Grants to support organizations dedicated to the humanities across Illinois. These grants empower cultural institutions, museums, and community organizations by providing unrestricted funds to enhance their sustainability and outreach. By fostering public engagement and dialogue, the initiative aims to address civic issues and promote inclusivity within historically under-resourced communities. With grants of up to $10,000, the program reinforces the importance of humanities in creating a just and connected society.

The Southern Monterey County Foundation Grants, established in 2014, aim to inspire philanthropy and strengthen communities in Southern Monterey County. Grants support nonprofit organizations addressing community needs, particularly in King City and surrounding areas. Priority is given to projects with measurable impacts and community program expansions. Funding may cover facility costs, matching grants, and personnel expenses. Locally based organizations with demonstrated community support are preferred, ensuring small grants can create significant local change.

Florida Talks Grants, supported by the Florida Humanities Council, provide funding for nonprofit organizations, municipalities, and educational entities to host engaging speakers who explore Florida's history, culture, and heritage. The program includes a standard honorarium for speakers and offers travel reimbursement for smaller organizations. Through these initiatives, Florida Humanities aims to promote civic engagement and preserve the state's rich cultural resources, making programs accessible to the public and fostering community dialogue.

The Trans-Antarctic Grants Program, run by the Trans-Antarctic Association, supports scientific research and expeditions in Antarctica, offering grants up to £1,500. Priority is given to early career scientists and non-salaried researchers. With a total funding pool of £10,000 to £15,000 annually, grants are available for eligible nationals from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK, promoting vital research in the unique Antarctic environment.

The First Security Bank Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the communities it serves. As part of the Glacier Bank family, it leverages its resources to provide substantial donations and sponsorships to local organizations. Their commitment is evident in the active involvement of employees who lead and volunteer throughout the area. Organizations interested in support are encouraged to apply, ensuring a thoughtful review process for each request. This foundation exemplifies the spirit of community investment.

The AMS Young Scholars Grant Program, offered by the American Mathematical Society, provides grants of up to $15,000 to support summer mathematics programs for talented high school students. Designed to aid established programs, funding should be allocated equally between student scholarships and program expenses. Programs must exist for at least a year, involve a minimum of 20 students, and focus on problem solving or research in mathematics, fostering the next generation of mathematicians.

The Northeast Dutchess Fund Grant, established in 2002, supports nonprofits and community organizations in towns like Amenia and Millbrook. Grants range from $2,500 to $10,000, aimed at enhancing educational experiences and public improvements. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and individuals with community support. The fund also invites reapplications from previous recipients, ensuring ongoing support for vital local initiatives.

George B. Todd Fund Grants

George B. Todd Fund is a component fund of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation that awards grants to nonprofit organizations serving Dorchester County. 

The application is open year-round. 

Applications are reviewed and considered by the advisors of the George B. Todd Fund on a quarterly basis. 

The Wichita Wagonmasters, through their Good Life Grants established in 2012, aim to enhance the quality of life in Wichita, Kansas. These grants support a variety of community projects that promote collaboration among nonprofits, fiscal soundness, and sustainable solutions. Eligible applicants must be IRS-exempt organizations with measurable outcomes. However, requests for general operational support, fundraising activities, and religious purposes are not accepted. The foundation seeks to showcase Wichita as a vibrant place to live, work, and play.

The Judd S. Alexander Foundation, established in 1973, has distributed over $55 million in grants to enhance quality of life and economic growth in Wausau, Wisconsin. It supports diverse projects in economic development, arts, education, and community services, engaging local leaders and residents. The Foundation encourages non-profit applications that directly benefit Marathon County and is committed to championing significant development initiatives while promoting public-private partnerships for sustainable community improvement.
