Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) 

The Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) is committed to ensuring that every Minnesotan has healthy air, sustainable lands, clean water, and a better climate.

Through the authority of state and federal statutes and guidelines, the MPCA focuses on preventing and reducing the pollution of air, land, and water, and leads Minnesota’s efforts to protect against the devastating effects of climate change. We work with regulated parties, businesses, governments, organizations, and 11 Tribal Nations in Minnesota to develop innovative, community-centered approaches that protect our natural resources, improve human health, and foster strong economic growth.

Statewide Environmental Assistance Grants - Fiscal years 2026-2028

The MPCA is offering approximately $250,000 in grant funding to help Minnesota governments, businesses, institutions, and organizations address two specific needs:

• reuse materials to reduce waste
• reduce toxic chemicals in hair products

This program's primary goals are to

• reduce waste generated in Minnesota,
• reduce greenhouse gases emitted by manufacturing new items, and
• eliminate toxic chemicals and metals from hair products to protect human health and the environment.

The purpose of this program is to enhance, expand, or modify existing maternal health outcome initiatives that prioritize diagnoses identified as severe obstetric complications (SOCs) and reduce SOCs (not present on admission that occur during the current delivery encounter), address gaps in maternal health outcomes, and strengthen community-based systems to ensure high-quality preventive, primary, and specialty services for pregnant or postpartum women. 

The Governor's Industry Vocations Scholarship (NJ-GIVS) supports women and minority students pursuing certificates or degrees in construction-related fields. Funded by the Schools Development Authority and administered by HESAA, this scholarship can cover up to $2,000 per year or the full cost of tuition, minus any other financial aid. It is renewable for one year, contingent on future funding availability, and awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division

CPJAD serves as the central agency to provide the Attorney General, the chief law enforcement officer of Hawaii, with the information and resources needed to address crime and crime prevention. This enables the Attorney General to facilitate and coordinate efforts to improve the criminal justice system and to encourage community partnerships in addressing crime.

Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Formula Grant (JAG)

The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) program is a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). The Hawaii Department of the Attorney General, Grants & Planning Branch, is the State Administering Agency (SAA) for JAG funds. JAG can be utilized for state and local initiatives, technical assistance, strategic planning, research and evaluation (including forensics), data collection, training, personnel, equipment, forensic laboratories, supplies, contractual support, and criminal justice information systems that will improve and enhance the criminal justice system.

JAG Federal Program Areas And State Priority Areas

When applying for JAG funds, applicants must address one of the following Federal Program Areas and one of the following State Priority Areas.

The RE/MAX Equity Group Foundation Grant aims to support small, local, and grassroots charitable organizations in the Portland metro and SW Washington areas. With contributions ranging from $500 to $2,500, the foundation focuses on tangible needs such as food, clothing, and medical services. Priority is given to organizations that support children and families, demonstrating low operating expenses and direct community engagement to maximize impact.

The Environmental Stewardship - Seed & Program Funding initiative by the Hampton Roads Community Foundation aims to foster conservation practices among youth in South Hampton Roads. It emphasizes education about local waterways and the effects of sea level rise, encouraging hands-on experiences and action plans for watershed preservation. By equipping students with knowledge and skills, the program seeks to enhance environmental stewardship and ensure a healthier future for the region's natural resources.

The Working Lands Enterprise Initiative's Business Enhancement Grant supports Vermont's agricultural, forestry, and food sectors by funding projects that enhance productivity and marketability. Eligible applicants include farms, logging businesses, and food processors that prioritize Vermont-grown resources. Funding can cover equipment, infrastructure, market development, and workforce training. This initiative aims to strengthen local economies and promote sustainable practices while fostering collaboration among various stakeholders in Vermont's working landscape.

The Athens Federal Foundation Grant supports charitable initiatives in East Tennessee, particularly in Bradley, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, and Polk counties. Established in 2009 with a $1 million stock contribution and $100,000 in cash, the Foundation prioritizes affordable housing, job training, and educational initiatives for the economically disadvantaged. Non-profit organizations that are tax-exempt under Section 501c(3) are eligible to apply, while political and fraternal organizations are excluded.

The FY26 Bureau of Land Management Youth Conservation Corps program aims to engage youth aged 16-30, including veterans and tribal members, in hands-on conservation projects. These initiatives foster skills in natural resource management, promote public land stewardship, and enhance community involvement through trail building, habitat restoration, and cultural resource preservation. By partnering with qualified youth corps, the program supports economic growth and environmental health while preparing the next generation of public land stewards.

The California Forest Improvement Program (CFIP) promotes sustainable management of forest lands through financial assistance for various activities like forest management planning and habitat improvement. Aimed at both private and public landowners, the program supports investments in reforestation, soil and water quality, and overall forest health. Each solicitation period provides between $1 to $2 million to aid in these efforts, ensuring that California's forests remain productive and beneficial for future generations.

The Perry County Youth Tax Board oversees the disbursement of approximately $300,000 annually to support programs aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of youth under 18 in Perry County. The Large Grant funding assists organizations in developing their community initiatives, allowing applications for up to 20% of the previous year's tax revenue. This funding aims to strengthen efforts for youth betterment, with requests exceeding $2,000 considered.

Minnesota's Coastal Program Grants offer funding for projects aimed at enhancing the management of Lake Superior's coastal areas. Managed by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, these small grants (up to $10,000) support short-term initiatives that promote planning, outreach, technology advancement, and youth education. Eligible projects include developing plans, hosting conferences, and creating educational resources for youth. The program prioritizes sustainability and community engagement in coastal management efforts.

The Perry County Youth Tax Board offers small grants up to $1,500 to support programs that enhance the health and well-being of individuals under 18 in Perry County. Organizations can apply twice a year, promoting community betterment and collaboration for larger projects. With an annual budget of $300,000, these funds aim to improve the quality of life for local youth through various initiatives.

The Dr. Bruce D. J. Batt Fellowship in Waterfowl Conservation honors the legacy of Dr. Bruce Batt, a leading figure in waterfowl research. This fellowship offers up to $5,000 annually to graduate students at North American universities conducting vital research on waterfowl and wetlands. Renewable for up to two additional years for PhD students, the fellowship promotes the integration of sound science in conservation efforts, supporting the next generation of waterfowl professionals.

The Louisiana Forest Legacy Program aims to protect privately-owned forestlands through land acquisition and conservation easements, ensuring the sustainability of vital natural resources. This voluntary initiative, supported by the USDA Forest Service and the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, helps maintain timber production, wildlife habitats, and community benefits while preventing forest fragmentation due to development. By engaging willing landowners, the program promotes responsible forestry practices and safeguards the ecological integrity of Louisiana's forests.

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) supports farmers and ranchers in integrating conservation practices into their operations. It provides financial assistance and resources to enhance agricultural productivity while protecting natural resources. The program particularly focuses on historically underserved groups, ensuring equitable access to USDA services. State priorities include addressing livestock production limitations, soil quality issues, and managing fire risks. Through EQIP, Utah aims to foster sustainable agricultural practices that benefit both the environment and local communities.

Doula Learning Collaborative NOFA

The purpose of the NJDLC is to be the professional home for community doulas throughout the State of NJ. The goal of the DLC is to reduce maternal and infant mortality and eliminate racial disparities in health outcomes by providing training, workforce development, supervision support and mentor support, technical assistance for community doulas and doula organizations throughout the State of NJ. A focus for the DLC will be to develop and support the doula workforce that delivers doula care to NJ’s Medicaid and CHIP members as enrolled NJ FamilyCare providers.

Community Foundation of Morgan County

The Community Foundation of Morgan County (CFMC) was founded on January 5, 2000, thanks to a grant from Lilly Endowment. CFMC was originally a partnership with the Mooresville Community Foundation and Morgan County Community Foundation. The historic Academy Building on the Newby Campus in Mooresville was CFMC’s original location.

After 25 years of service, the Community Foundation of Morgan County continues to grow our community endowment for purposes of enhancing the lives of all Morgan County citizens, now and for those in the future. We address community needs through grantmaking, including scholarships, connect donors to local needs, and provide leadership on key community issues.

Lilly Endowment GIFT IX Community Project Grant

The Community Foundation of Morgan County is committed to strengthening the long-term vitality of our community by addressing critical needs. The Community Project Grant Program, funded by Lilly Endowment Gift IX, provides strategic funding opportunities for transformative initiatives aligned with three key pillars:

The Texas Longleaf Conservation Assistance Program offers financial and technical support to landowners in East Texas for establishing and managing Longleaf Pine. This initiative aims to restore the historical range of Longleaf Pine, which has diminished over time. Participants can receive assistance for practices like prescribed burning and reforestation, enhancing both ecological health and economic viability. The program fosters collaboration among federal, state, and local partners to promote sustainable forestry in the region.

The District of Columbia Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) aims to replace diesel vehicles with zero-emission equivalents to enhance community health. The grant supports replacing medium- and heavy-duty vehicles registered in the District, with available funding totaling $2,396,457. Non-governmental organizations, faith-based groups, universities, and private enterprises are encouraged to apply for rebates on vehicle replacement costs, promoting a cleaner environment and reduced NOx emissions.

The WaterSMART Cooperative Watershed Management Program offers funding to eligible entities for developing local solutions to water management issues. This initiative supports watershed group development, restoration planning, and project design, promoting stakeholder cooperation and improving water reliability. It aligns with key priorities from the Trump administration, addressing complex water challenges and enhancing federal grant oversight. By facilitating these efforts, the program aims to stretch limited water resources and foster collaborative solutions among diverse stakeholders.

The Peace & Recovery Initiative Call for Proposals, backed by Innovations for Poverty Action, invites research teams to explore and evaluate projects addressing social and political violence and humanitarian emergencies. With funding for exploratory grants up to $10,000 and full studies up to $500,000, the initiative emphasizes innovative approaches to understanding violence, reintegrating armed groups, and building community resilience. Submissions are encouraged to enhance evidence-based policy outreach.

The F25AS00332 Highlands Conservation Act provides competitive funding for land conservation projects in the Highlands Region, which includes Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Administered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, this program allows eligible state, county, or municipal entities to request grants covering up to 50% of project costs. The program aims to protect vital natural resources and is divided into Base and Competitive funding categories, with specific proposals invited for the Competitive Funding Round.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Prevention NOFA

To develop regional projects to prevent alcohol and drug use before, during, and after pregnancy. To increase the number of pregnant women screened for risk of substance use/abuse and refer them to appropriate services. Provide state wide education and leadership training for CHWs, doulas and peer mentors (frontline staff) specifically related to working with vulnerable birthing people.
