Bemidji Area Arts Endowment

Nonprofits a 30-mile radius of Bemidji, Minnesota may apply for grants of up to $1,500 to support art-related projects. Grants are designed to foster and support artistic endeavors that enrich the local community and enhance cultural experiences.

Women Give Taos (WGT) Grant

Nonprofit organizations serving women, children, and families in Taos and Western Colfax Counties are invited to apply for the Women Give Taos (WGT) grant cycle. This funding is designed to support an impactful and transformative project or an enhancement of service proposal, while meeting WGT funding priorities.

Taos Community Foundation (TCF) is dedicated to strengthening our region, ensuring Taos and western Colfax counties are vibrant places for all. Our mission is rooted in connection—supporting local nonprofits, addressing urgent needs, and fostering a spirit of generosity that unites us.

Women Give Taos (WGT), a giving circle of Taos Community Foundation, brings women together from across our community to step forward and engage in collective giving and grantmaking. The mission of WGT is to unite women as leaders and change agents while creating opportunities for families in Taos and western Colfax counties.

Through an annual $20,000 grant to a local nonprofit, Women Give Taos helps families in need while empowering each other to create positive change through local solutions.

The Warehime Operational Grant supports non-profits addressing basic human needs through operational expenses. Offered by the J. William Warehime Foundation, grants range from $2,500 to $50,000 and can be applied for annually, with a minimum gap of 12 months between applications. The foundation aims to further Mr. Warehime's legacy of civic commitment. Eligible organizations include 501(c)3 non-profits, educational institutions, and government agencies, with funding capped at 10% of the organization's annual revenue.

The Community Foundation of Marquette County distributes over $130,000 annually in scholarships to benefit aspiring students in Marquette County.

Barbara Hammerberg Memorial Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarships to students in Marquette and Delta Counties for post-secondary education. 

Distribution Process

• CFMC scholarship recipients will be contacted in June requesting student enrollment verification
• Scholarships can only be distributed once student’s information is received
• Scholarships will be distributed to the college/school/university indicated by student
• The scholarship must be used for tuition and fees required for the enrollment or attendance of the student at a qualifying educational institution; fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction at such an educational institution; and room and board, within the first semester of first year of students enrollment
• That year’s recipient must claim the scholarship within that fiscal year to be distributed (by 12/31/xx)

Gwinn Community Schools Alunni Scholarship

Be a graduating senior of Gwinn Area Community Schools pursuing higher education and are residents of the Gwinn Area School District and hold at least a 3.0 GPA.

Distribution Process

• CFMC scholarship recipients will be contacted in June requesting student enrollment verification
• Scholarships can only be distributed once student’s information is received
• Scholarships will be distributed to the college/school/university indicated by student
• The scholarship must be used for tuition and fees required for the enrollment or attendance of the student at a qualifying educational institution; fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction at such an educational institution; and room and board, within the first semester of first year of students enrollment
• That year’s recipient must claim the scholarship within that fiscal year to be distributed (by 12/31/xx)

Evergreen Award of Marquette County Scholarship Fund

Provides financial assistance to individuals residing in Marquette County who meet the following criteria: have not had the opportunity to continue their formal education, represent life-long learning interests, have an established history of service/commitment to others in the community, and demonstrate financial need for educational support. 

Distribution Process

• Scholarships can only be distributed once student’s information is received
• Scholarships will be distributed to the college/school/university indicated by student
• The scholarship must be used for tuition and fees required for the enrollment or attendance of the student at a qualifying educational institution; fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction at such an educational institution; and room and board, within the first semester of first year of students enrollment
• That year’s recipient must claim the scholarship within that fiscal year to be distributed (by 12/31/xx)

The Alabama Power Foundation's Champion Grants support teachers by providing funding for professional development and instructional resources aimed at enhancing college and career readiness in math and science. Eligible public schools, where at least 50% of students receive free or reduced-price lunches, can apply. The grants encourage collaboration among teachers and the selection of effective professional development to improve student achievement, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.

Matt Davidson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarships to up to two eligible applicants, one male and one female in the amount of $500.00 each. 

Distribution Process

• CFMC scholarship recipients will be contacted in June requesting student enrollment verification
• Scholarships can only be distributed once student’s information is received
• Scholarships will be distributed to the college/school/university indicated by student
• The scholarship must be used for tuition and fees required for the enrollment or attendance of the student at a qualifying educational institution; fees, books, supplies, and equipment required for courses of instruction at such an educational institution; and room and board, within the first semester of first year of students enrollment
• That year’s recipient must claim the scholarship within that fiscal year to be distributed (by 12/31/xx)

The University of Minnesota's Co-Sponsorship Grants Program offers funding up to $2,000 to support events that enhance training for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars. Eligible activities must align with the Graduate School's mission and be accessible to students across various colleges. Preference is given to initiatives demonstrating potential for sustainable impact. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted, so timely submission is crucial for consideration.

The Hudson River Estuary Program - River Education grant offers approximately $300,000 to support projects enhancing education about the estuary. Eligible applicants include governmental and non-profit organizations within New York State. The program aims to improve climate resilience and environmental education while ensuring accessibility for diverse communities. Grant awards range from $20,000 to $100,000, with a focus on projects that foster learning about the Hudson River Estuary and its resources.

The Retirement Research Foundation offers Organizational Capacity Building Grants to Illinois nonprofits focused on enhancing their management and governance systems. These grants support activities such as strategic planning, financial management, program evaluation, and human resources development. Eligible organizations must be tax-exempt, operational for at least three years, and prioritize services for the elderly. This funding aims to strengthen nonprofits' capacity to serve older adults effectively.

The Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation's President's Grants support educational projects that enhance health professional training. The foundation prioritizes diversity, collaboration, and ethical navigation in clinical learning environments. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis, primarily aligning with these priorities, and are capped at $25,000, including a maximum of 10% for indirect costs. Applications are accepted year-round from tax-exempt institutions focusing on medical and nursing education.

The Arts for All Partnership Grant, established in 2015, focuses on enhancing arts accessibility for underserved communities in the Capital Region. This collaborative initiative, backed by The Foundation for Enhancing Communities, prioritizes nonprofit programs that promote cultural appreciation through free performances, ticket subsidies, and educational outreach. Grants of up to $5,000 are available, emphasizing projects that engage diverse audiences and ensure sustainable arts engagement.

The GCRA Downtown Events Grant Program offers up to $5,000 to support events in Downtown Gainesville from January 31 to June 30, 2025. Administered by the City of Gainesville's Community Reinvestment Area, this program aims to enhance cultural activities in publicly owned spaces. With $30,000 allocated from FY24 funds, applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until funding is exhausted. This initiative fosters collaboration among community organizations to enrich the local cultural landscape.

The GCRA Community Partnership Grant Program provides up to $5,000 in matching funds to support local organizations in delivering special programming within the GCRA District. Administered in four cycles throughout the year, the program encourages community engagement, economic development, and cultural maintenance. Organizations can combine GCRA and SEAS grants for the same event, ensuring funds are allocated to different costs, thereby enhancing community experiences and promoting inclusivity.

Philip A. Spade and Ruth M. Spade Scholarship

Provides scholarships which benefit students educated in the Gwinn Public School System from elementary school through graduation, with particular emphasis on attendance at George D. Gilbert Elementary School.

• Scholarships can only be distributed once student’s information is received
• Scholarships will be distributed to the college/school/university indicated by student

The Alabama Power Foundation offers Field Trip Grants aimed at enhancing educational experiences for K-12 students. These grants support trips to historical sites, museums, and nature preserves, fostering curiosity and engagement. Priority is given to teachers in Title I schools, ensuring equitable access to enriching experiences. By bridging educational gaps, the foundation empowers teachers to create lasting memories and deepen students' understanding of various subjects, ultimately contributing to the betterment of communities across Alabama.

The STEAM Workforce Development Teacher Fellowships, previously known as the STEM Fellowships, support Arlington Public Schools teachers in enhancing their knowledge of STEAM fields. This program allows teachers to connect arts with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, ultimately improving student learning. Participants receive a $5,000 stipend after a three-week summer fellowship, helping them align educational practices with workplace expectations. Eligible candidates must have two years of teaching experience and commit to staying with APS for two years post-fellowship.

The Illuminations Grant for Black Trans Women Visual Artists, a $10,000 annual grant, supports early-career Black trans women artists in the U.S. whose contributions to visual arts are often overlooked. Established in partnership with notable figures, this grant not only provides funding but also offers professional development resources. In its fifth year, it aims to address systemic barriers and enhance representation in the arts, with additional awards for finalists to further their artistic journeys.

The Mark Ulrickson Memorial Scholarship Fund

Provides scholarships to graduating seniors in Marquette County who are enrolled at a college or university, and who demonstrate financial need.

This program enables participants to gain hands-on experience, while also receiving the necessary guidance and support from qualified organizations. The initiative aims to empower communities in rural areas, fostering self-sufficiency and affordable housing solutions, ensuring that families have the opportunity to build their futures.

The Mutual Self-Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants in Florida provide essential funding to qualified organizations that assist very-low- and low-income families in constructing their own homes. By supervising self-help housing projects, these organizations empower communities, enabling participants to contribute labor under professional guidance. This initiative not only fosters homeownership but also strengthens local economies by promoting collaboration among families while ensuring technical support throughout the construction process.

The Mutual Self-Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants in Delaware provide essential funding for eligible organizations to facilitate self-help housing construction for low-income families. These grants enable recipients to offer technical assistance and support as families collaboratively build their homes, fostering community involvement and ownership. Organizations such as non-profits and federally-recognized tribes can apply for this assistance, which ultimately enhances rural housing opportunities and promotes sustainable living.

The Mutual Self-Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants in Connecticut provide vital financial support to qualified organizations, enabling them to assist low-income families in constructing their own homes. Participants work collaboratively under supervision, contributing their labor while receiving technical guidance. This program fosters community development and self-sufficiency in rural areas, ensuring that families can achieve homeownership through shared effort and expert assistance. Eligible applicants include government non-profits, federally-recognized tribes, and private non-profits.

The Mutual Self-Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants in Colorado provide essential support to organizations aiding low-income families in building their own homes. This program empowers communities by allowing participants to engage in the construction process, fostering teamwork and skill development. Eligible areas can be verified through specified USDA resources, and funds are allocated for technical assistance and recruitment efforts. However, funding cannot be used for direct construction work or purchasing materials.

The Mutual Self-Help Housing Technical Assistance Grants in California provide essential funding to organizations aiding low-income families in constructing their own homes. This program allows participants to gain valuable skills while building community through cooperative labor. Eligible applicants include government non-profits, federally-recognized Tribes, and private non-profits.
