Eligible projects must be sponsored by a Rotary Club member and meet specific criteria including nonprofit status. Grants are intended for capital projects, not operational expenses, and organizations may only submit one application per funding round. This initiative aims to enhance services in areas such as health, housing, and education.

The Fogarty Emerging Global Leader Award supports early career research scientists from low- or middle-income countries (LMIC) by providing research funding and mentored career development for three to five years. Natural Community Conservation Planning Local Assistance Grant Program

Description

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks proposals for highest priority projects associated with the implementation of an NCCP. The intention of this Proposal Solicitation Package (PSP) is to solicit proposals of the highest quality that are consistent with the goals of the NCCP Program. Proposals must address the highest priority tasks associated with the implementation of an NCCP such as:

• Management Activities: Immediate management actions on newly acquired NCCP reserve lands.
• Restoration/Enhancement: Restoration or enhancement of habitats or species populations on NCCP reserve lands.
• Monitoring: Design and implementation of biological monitoring programs identified in an NCCP, including the establishment of sampling methods, monitoring plots, data collection, management, and analysis.
• Reserve Management Plans: Development and implementation of individual reserve management plans.
• Mapping: New or updated mapping in support of NCCP management or monitoring activities, such as vegetation community mapping.
• Targeted Studies for Adaptive Management: Studies to evaluate management actions for covered habitats or species, and whether such actions are meeting stated goals or require adjustments through adaptive management.
• Other: Other non-land acquisition priority tasks, identified by the applicant and implementing partners, which are needed to ensure effective implementation of the NCCP.

Applicants must engage with a Regional Manager for eligibility guidance and can expect grants typically between $200,000 and $5 million. This ongoing funding supports various stages of project development, including planning, construction, and monitoring.

Biogen Corporate Sponsorships provide funding to support congresses, events, and initiatives in exchange for tangible benefits such as marketing opportunities and recognition. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and requests must be submitted 50 days in advance. Biogen considers various disease areas for sponsorship, including Alzheimer’s and Multiple Sclerosis. The Clif Family Foundation Open Call invites 501(c)(3) organizations to apply for grants supporting general operating costs or specific projects. With a focus on regenerative farming, food worker health, climate justice, and food access, the foundation aims to empower grassroots initiatives. Grants range from $5,000 to $50,000, with applications reviewed twice a year. Deadlines are March 1 and August 1, and announcements occur about four months post-deadline.

The Conservation Partners Grant Program, funded by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, supports private landowners in implementing regenerative agriculture and conservation practices. By awarding competitive grants, the program facilitates technical assistance for developing management plans and best practices, enabling landowners to maximize the ecological benefits of their lands. This initiative is crucial for enhancing fish and wildlife habitats, addressing pressing conservation issues, and promoting sustainable land stewardship across the United States.

The Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy Proposition 4 Grant Program aims to enhance climate resilience through nature-based solutions in conservation lands. Priority is given to initiatives benefiting disadvantaged communities and those that align with California's 30x30 conservation goals. The Proposition 4 Grant Program, managed by the California Tahoe Conservancy, aims to enhance watershed health, forest restoration, and climate resilience in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Funded by a $4.1 billion bond approved in 2024, it allocates $54.5 million for various environmental initiatives. Through ongoing grant opportunities, the program seeks to mitigate climate impacts, support biodiversity, and improve public access to natural resources, ensuring sustainable management of California's precious ecosystems.

Transformative Care Model

Accelerator Partners (Now Open)

The Accelerator Partner Program is proposed as support for hospitals or other organizations in rural regions that demonstrate strong readiness and commitment to implement the CalRHT Transformative Care Model (TCM) through regional care collaboratives and hub-and-spoke relationships which will seek to strengthen primary and maternity care in rural parts of the state.  

Accelerator Partners will strengthen TCM performance metrics in their service areas while serving as testing sites for innovative care models and evidence-based approaches. Accelerator Partners will demonstrate how integrated service delivery can strengthen access, quality, and sustainability in rural communities.

Lessons learned from these Accelerator Partners will inform statewide scaling and continuous improvement of the regional care collaboratives and hub-and-spoke framework in future years.

California Rural Health Transformation (CalRHT) Program – California’s Implementation

The California Rural Health Transformation (CalRHT) program is California’s approach to the federal Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), led by the Department of Health Care Access and Information, with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) oversight. CalRHT is designed to strengthen health care delivery in rural communities where access challenges, workforce shortages, and infrastructure gaps create unique barriers to care.

California Rural Healthcare Transformation (CalRHT) Initiative 1: Transformative Care Model Expand and Support Rural Workforce Capacity

The Family Medicine Obstetrics (FM-OB) Fellowship Subaward Program under Expand and Support Rural Workforce Capacity is intended to fund the programmatic and infrastructure costs of expanding FM-OB fellowship capacity. Primary applicants for the FM-OB Fellowship Subaward Program must be aspiring or existing graduate medical education (GME) sponsoring institutions. The Program expands access to high-quality maternity and perinatal care in California’s rural communities by increasing the number of family physicians with advanced obstetrics training. Through support for family medicine obstetrics fellowship programs and regional collaborative care models, the program builds sustainable obstetric workforce capacity where rural patients receive care, preparing physicians to practice in underserved communities and improving maternal and infant health outcomes.

The Adams-Mastrovich Family Foundation Grant aims to support charitable organizations in Los Angeles County, California, and South Dakota. Focus areas include education, health, human services, the arts, and religious initiatives. Special priority is given to organizations aiding women, particularly victims of domestic violence. Eligibility requires 501(c)(3) status, while ineligible requests include political campaigns and fundraising events. The foundation emphasizes self-sufficiency and community support, aiming to uplift vulnerable populations through targeted funding.

The Hind Foundation Standard Grant supports impactful community projects in California since 2006. Funding areas include ecosystem conservation, historical landmark restoration, music and visual arts, wildlife protection, and land conservation. Eligible nonprofit organizations must be California-based, have a 501(c)(3) designation, and demonstrate community support. Projects must provide lasting benefits, align with funding areas, and secure adequate matching funds. Grants are not available for previously funded projects or for educational and administrative costs.

The Community Ties Giving Program by Union Pacific Foundation offers local grants aimed at enhancing community well-being through diverse funding priorities. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) non-profits dedicated to measurable outcomes that align with the Foundation's goals. The Foundation does not fund operating support or scientific research.

The California Garden Clubs Scholarship offers six $2,000 scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year, aimed at students with notable achievements or those who have completed two years of college. This initiative promotes horticulture and environmental conservation while encouraging civic beautification across California. The scholarships reflect the organization's commitment to fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural beauty of the state through education and community involvement.
