The purpose of the Education Service Centers (ESC) Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) Basic Services Initiative is primarily to provide support for and to work cooperatively with Title I, Part A campuses in implementing Title I, Part A formula grant, and secondarily to provide technical assistance to other ESSA programs included in any subsequent addendum, that increase opportunities for all students enrolled in schools served by Title I, Part A to meet challenging State academic assessment standards.
Texas Education Agency's (TEA) strategic vision for ESSA formula grants is to improve student achievement, to ensure school systems have sufficient guidance and technical assistance to meet ESSA federal compliance requirements, to strengthen the quality of local ESSA programs, and to promote coordinated use of funds for best practices aligned to TEA Strategic Priorities in the ESSA Consolidated State Plan.
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) invites applications from persons or entities who operate drayage trucks and cargo handling equipment at seaports and rail yards located within the air quality non attainment areas of Texas. Incentive funding is available for the replacement or repower of drayage trucks and cargo handling equipment that will reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOX) and other pollutants, including particulate matter (PM), at these facilities and in the non attainment areas and other affected counties
The scholarships we award vary each year based on the unique criteria of each scholarship. In 2025, we awarded over $3 million in scholarships to over 500 students, including $1.3 million to 110 students in western NC through our Disaster Relief and Resilience Scholarship.
Alpha Beta Chapter Scholarship Fund
Depending on the scholarship, it may pay for tuition, room and board, books, fees and/or other related educational expenses. This will be outlined in your award notification. The minimum scholarship award amount is $1,000.
NCCF scholarship awards are only issued to not-for-profit institutions and government entities such as public colleges or universities.
