In addition, a significant proportion of our grant making draws on the proceeds of the sale of United Western Medical Centers to Tenet, and is intended to continue the charitable legacy of those hospitals in central Orange County, California.

TCF Annual Grant

Since 2008, the Tustin Community Foundation (TCF) has been dedicated to building philanthropic resources to support nonprofit organizations and schools in the Tustin area. Our grants address a wide range of community needs, including hunger, housing, youth activities, senior services, arts, cultural heritage, environmental sustainability, and outreach to underserved and disadvantaged populations.

The funding for our annual grants is raised through individual donations and community fundraisers held throughout the year.

Strong nonprofits are essential to a thriving Orange County—and collaboration is one of the most powerful ways to strengthen them. The OC+ Fund is designed to support partnerships among nonprofits that are working together to improve services, increase efficiency, and amplify impact for the Orange County, California community.

Collaboration among nonprofits can improve service delivery, increase efficiency, and strengthen community impact. According to our Orange County Nonprofit Needs Assessment, while many organizations see collaboration as a powerful tool, significant barriers prevent deeper, more sustained partnerships. The OC+ Fund will provide grant awards that are ready for near-term implementation across three categories: Collaborative Program Delivery, Shared Service Agreements, and Integrated Organizations. All projects must be focused on implementation and the application will assess readiness for implementation (e.g., strength of existing partnership, strategic clarity and feasibility, capacity to implement). We will not fund projects to “plan for” collaboration at this time.

The Proposition 1 and 68 Small Grants Program in California offers funding between $50,000 and $300,000 for projects that prioritize jump-start initiatives, project planning, and technical assistance for disadvantaged communities. Applications are evaluated quarterly or biannually, with competitive criteria requiring an average score of 70 percent or better. This program aims to support small design-build projects and secure matching funds, contributing to the enhancement of regional water quality and community resilience.

The Proposition 1 and 68 Very Small Grants Program in California offers funding of less than $50,000 to support disadvantaged communities. This program prioritizes technical assistance, project planning, and high-need project implementation through a simplified application process. Grants are evaluated quarterly or biannually, with projects scoring 75% or higher being competitive. The initiative aims to enhance community resilience and secure matching funds for impactful projects.

Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors. Applications are accepted from mid-November until mid-March. Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the high school awards ceremony. 

Robert W. Klenk Scholarship

Established by the Mountain View School District Alumni Association in honor of Mr. Klenk, a long-time teacher and principal of the District. Provides a scholarship to a graduate who will attend college to pursue a degree in education.  

Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors. Applications are accepted from mid-November until mid-March. Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the high school awards ceremony. 

Helen Whitehead Memorial Scholarship

Established by the family of Mrs. Whitehead to provide tuition assistance for a graduating Senior from Blue Ridge, Elk Lake, Forest City, Montrose, Mountain View or Susquehanna Community High School who will matriculate at a college or post-secondary degree program to major in the culinary profession or a student who will matriculate at a college or post-secondary degree program to major in a degree in Nursing.

Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors. Applications are accepted from mid-November until mid-March. Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the high school awards ceremony. 

Montrose Area Chamber of Commerce Pauline MacNeal Memorial Scholarship

Established to honor past Chamber member Mrs. Pauline MacNeal. Provides college tuition assistance to graduating seniors from the high schools in Susquehanna County, as well as home schooled or cyber schooled students, who reside in Susquehanna County and will major in a business related field.

Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors. Applications are accepted from mid-November until mid-March. Scholarship award recipients will be announced at the high school awards ceremony. 

R.E.S.C.U.E. Benjamin B. Stone Memorial Scholarship

Established by the environmental organization “Return Susquehanna County Under Ecology” to recognize Benjamin Stone. Two college scholarships are awarded each year and are available to seniors from all of the high schools in Susquehanna County and from Honesdale, Wallenpaupack Area, and Western Wayne High Schools in Wayne County.
