Every Kindness is a Gift is a gift card grant program made possible through the generosity of Dollar Tree and managed by the team here at Gift Card Bank. We are a nonprofit organization that specializes in the distribution of gift cards and our mission is to improve well-being and build financial stability by supporting people through their time of need.

Through Every Kindness is a Gift, nonprofit organizations and Title I schools located in the 48 contiguous states may apply to receive a grant of Dollar Tree gift cards.

Gift cards received through these grants are meant to be distributed directly to individuals and families in need. A primary goal of the program is to give gift card recipients the dignity of choice by empowering them to shop for what they need themselves. By putting gift cards directly in the hands of our neighbors in need, we are able to increase access to essentials like food, school supplies, paper products, cleaning products, and hygiene items.

In 2026, there will be two rounds of grant distributions. In each round, we will award a number of grants between $2,500 and $10,000.

Round One is a summer distribution. Gift cards awarded in Round One will arrive in late June, while kids are on break and back-to-school is around the corner. Round Two is a holiday distribution. Gift cards awarded in Round Two will arrive in early November, as the end-of-year holidays approach.

We know that these are times of year when budgets are tight. Through these gift card grants, we hope to connect individuals and families directly to the essential resources they need during difficult months.

The Grace Bersted Foundation Grant supports quality educational, human services, and health care programs for underserved populations, particularly children and the disabled, in DuPage, Kane, Lake, and McHenry counties, Illinois. Established in 1986, it prioritizes organizations with local offices and typically funds grants for one year. Applicants are limited to one submission per calendar year to this and similar foundations, ensuring fair distribution of resources.

The Russell Sage Foundation's Visiting Scholars Program offers a prestigious opportunity for scholars in social sciences to conduct research and writing at their New York City headquarters. Annually, 15 to 17 fellowships are awarded to applicants at least two years post-Ph.D. Scholars engage in diverse projects related to vital social issues while benefiting from office space, resources, and financial support for their salary. This program emphasizes intellectual engagement and collaboration among scholars across disciplines.

The Butler County Area Foundation Fund (BCAFF) is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Butler County by leveraging contributed funds. BCAFF grants support community projects aimed at long-term success through strategic development initiatives, job creation, and leadership capacity building. They encourage applications that foster local entrepreneurship, engage youth, and promote community educational efforts, ensuring a thriving future for Butler County.

The Karl H. and Wealtha H. Nelson Family Foundation Grant aims to support charitable organizations in Nebraska City, focusing on health care, historical preservation, education, fine arts, and community development. Established by the Nelson family, the foundation prioritizes projects that enhance the local community's well-being and cultural heritage. The board seeks to fund both established organizations and new initiatives that demonstrate a clear commitment to their goals and community relevance.

The 2026 Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise in Biomedical Science will award three $50,000 prizes to exceptional young immigrant scientists in the U.S. This prestigious prize recognizes innovative research contributions in biomedical science. Eligible candidates must be under 38 years old, hold a doctoral degree, and have made significant achievements in their field. The Vilcek Foundation aims to highlight the impact of immigrant scientists on the advancement of biomedical research, fostering diversity and excellence.

The CFES Workforce Development Grant supports programs aimed at enhancing job training and career advancement, particularly for underrepresented groups such as individuals with disabilities and non-traditional students. With a maximum funding of $7,500, the grant prioritizes collaborative efforts that demonstrate a commitment to quality education and workforce development. Eligible applicants include IRS-designated nonprofits and educational institutions serving Maryland's Wicomico, Worcester, and Somerset Counties.

The San Marcos Community Foundation offers Regular Grants ranging from $1,500 to $10,000 to nonprofit organizations benefiting the residents of San Marcos. Established in 1987, the Foundation aims to enhance community quality of life through diverse programs in arts, health, education, and more. Eligible organizations must meet specific requirements, including tax-exempt status. The Foundation prioritizes applications with matching funds at its discretion, fostering a collaborative approach to community enrichment.

The SCC - Jeff Byrd Grant, established by Speedway Children's Charities, honors a dedicated leader by providing a $50,000 grant to support exceptional projects benefiting children. This initiative focuses on addressing local needs, encouraging applicants to collaborate with the Bristol Chapter of SCC. Eligible entities include 501(c)(3) non-profits prioritizing children's welfare in designated Tennessee and Virginia counties. The project must exceed $50,000 in value, ensuring lasting impact on the communities served.

The Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation aims to enhance educational opportunities and outcomes for individuals and communities in Arizona. They focus on funding initiatives that increase access to quality education, especially for low-income students. The foundation prioritizes innovative programs that promote student achievement, college access, and leadership development. Eligible organizations must have 501(c)(3) status, a minimum annual budget, and demonstrate strong management and community engagement.

Illinois EPA

The mission of the Illinois EPA is to safeguard environmental quality, consistent with the social and economic needs of the State of Illinois, so as to protect health, welfare, property, and the quality of life.

The Illinois EPA works to safeguard natural resources from pollution to provide a healthy environment. By partnering with businesses, local governments, and the public, the Illinois EPA is dedicated to continued protection of the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the land we live on.

Illinois Clean Ports Program - Deployment

Description

This program of projects is funded by a US EPA Clean Ports Program award that will support the deployment of zero-emission freight-handling equipment such as locomotives, trucks, forklifts, and more. There is also funding for on-site solar generation and battery storage.

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is non-competitive and only open to the six entities that IEPA solicited through a public Call for Partners process in 2024 and then worked with the entities to apply for a successful Clean Ports Deployment grant to US EPA.

The following entities are eligible to apply for this NOFO. The eligible amounts align with the amount IEPA was awarded for that entity in IEPA's Clean Ports - Deployment Agreement with US EPA.

Illinois EPA anticipates processing applications as they are received for this non-competitive NOFO.

The Watertown Community Foundation offers grants of up to $2,500 for educational enrichment programs in collaboration with Watertown Public Schools. The foundation prioritizes projects that foster collaboration and extend beyond single classrooms, including after-school programs and district-wide initiatives. Preference is given to programs involving partnerships across multiple schools. Organizations with 501(c)(3) status can apply, while certain expenses like transportation and stipends for school employees are ineligible for funding.

Immanuel Lutheran Church Grants provide financial support to projects that align with the mission priorities of the Trust Fund. The grants are awarded quarterly and prioritize innovative initiatives that foster community involvement, humanitarian efforts, and spiritual growth. Eligible projects include support for youth, educational stipends, and community service programs. The Trust Fund encourages applications from affiliated organizations and individuals, particularly those that can demonstrate matching funds or unique outreach ideas.

The Native Plant Society of Texas offers the Dr. Alfred Richardson Scholarship, aimed at undergraduates majoring in biology, ecology, or related fields. This scholarship, funded through an endowment, provides $5,000-$10,000 per year for up to two years. Recipients must demonstrate a commitment to the conservation and utilization of Texas native plants. This initiative aligns with the Society's mission to promote education and outreach regarding native plant conservation.

The Cherokee and Clay County Trust Grant, established in 1973 by W.J. “Dub” Martin, aims to enhance the well-being of residents in Cherokee and Clay Counties, North Carolina. With an average grant size of $1,000 to $5,000 and approximately 15 grants awarded annually, the trust focuses on areas such as education, health, arts, and human services. It prioritizes organizations that assist young people, support churches, and provide essential services to those in need.

The Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation Grant supports organizations dedicated to preserving American exceptionalism through a commitment to individual liberty, free markets, and civic responsibility. It prioritizes proposals from 501(c)(3) organizations that promote informed citizenship and strong communities. With ongoing acceptance of Letters of Inquiry, the Foundation seeks to empower initiatives that align with its principles of limited government and the rule of law, fostering a rich community culture.

Rotary Club of Dubois County: Community Grants

The Rotary Club of Dubois County is an active social and service club comprised of dynamic and diverse professionals who make a lasting difference in our community and around the world.

Annually the Club raises funds that are put back into the community through a grant process. The grant is awarded to an organization/ project that aligns with the Rotary seven areas of focus and who provide an opportunity for Rotary Club members to participate and be active in the implementation. Rotary’s seven areas of focus include:

The National Audubon Society's Hog Island Audubon Camp in Bremen, Maine, offers an immersive experience for educators seeking to enhance their environmental curriculum. Participants engage with nature through workshops focused on art, music, and citizen science, alongside field trips to observe wildlife. The program includes meals and housing, with a scholarship covering the tuition fee of $1,590. This unique opportunity fosters innovative teaching methods in a stunning natural setting.

The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation aims to enhance the educational, economic, cultural, and religious lives of Michigan residents. Grants are made exclusively to 501(c)(3) or governmental organizations in Michigan. The foundation seeks proposals with clearly defined objectives and strong management, prioritizing innovative programs that can achieve long-term sustainability. Preference will be given to projects that align with these priorities, fostering a dynamic and prosperous environment in Huron County.

The Thomas C. Ackerman Foundation Grant supports K-12 educational programs in San Diego, focusing on mathematics, sciences, arts, and music. Established in 1991, it aims to assist local non-profits in becoming self-sustaining. Organizations eligible for funding must have operated for over a year without prior funding from the Foundation in the last 24 months. The Foundation seeks to address funding challenges faced by local groups while fostering economic development in the community.

The Climate Smart Communities Grant Program in New York provides municipalities with funding to combat climate change through greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation and adaptation projects. With at least $22 million available, eligible projects range from GHG reduction initiatives to climate adaptation strategies. The program also supports certification efforts for communities striving to achieve Climate Smart Community status. The PCC Foundation offers community grants aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Parke County. These grants, available to both new and existing charitable organizations, support various initiatives including education, health services, and community development. Applications are accepted year-round, with quick decisions for smaller requests. This funding opportunity encourages projects that address community needs and build capacity, fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

The James A. & Faith Knight Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations in Jackson and Washtenaw Counties, Michigan. The foundation values sound financial management, governance practices, and a clear mission, with a focus on gender, diversity, and outcomes. Key funding priorities include general operating support, environmental sustainability, and initiatives benefiting women and girls. Organizations are expected to demonstrate their commitment to these values during the application process, which may include site visits.

The Pasadena Community Foundation's Arts & Culture Grants support local nonprofits that enrich the community through arts and culture. Established in 2023, this program focuses on ongoing needs and responses to the Eaton Fire, emphasizing innovation, technology, audience engagement, and collaboration. Eligible organizations must be located within the Pasadena Unified School District and have a record of effective service. Applications are prioritized based on their potential to foster community impact and inclusivity.

The NIDDK Disease Research and Translational Core Centers (P30 Clinical Trial Optional) program invites applications to support innovative biomedical research focused on cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. These centers foster collaboration, provide essential resources, and mentor early-stage investigators, enhancing the research landscape. Funding will support pilot programs and access to shared services, ensuring efficient use of resources while promoting a robust scientific community dedicated to advancing health outcomes.
