The Superior HealthPlan Community Grant Program offers $10,000 to Texas-based organizations tackling Non-Medical Drivers of Health (NMDOH). Focus areas include housing stability, food security, and healthcare access. Grants are awarded annually, with applications reviewed by the Superior HealthPlan Grant Committee. Nonprofits addressing issues like housing insecurity, food access, and healthcare literacy are encouraged to apply. Successful applicants must serve the Medicaid population and submit required documentation by April 30, 2025.

The USGS is providing funding for a CESU partner to conduct critical research on the invasive brown treesnake in the Pacific Islands. This initiative aims to counteract the ecological and economic impacts caused by the species, which has severely affected native wildlife in Guam. The project will enhance military readiness and biosecurity through collaboration and training initiatives. With support from various federal entities, this research seeks to strengthen the understanding and management of brown treesnakes.

The MT 319 Nonpoint Source Pollution Project Grants, administered by the Montana Department of Environmental Quality, aim to reduce nonpoint source pollution through competitive funding for eligible projects. This program supports various initiatives, including technical assistance and restoration efforts, to protect Montana's water quality. By implementing Best Management Practices and fostering community engagement, the program seeks to address diffuse pollution sources effectively. The 2012 Montana Nonpoint Source Management Plan outlines strategic goals to enhance these efforts.

The City of Hillsboro Community Impact Grant provides up to $120,000 in funding for nonprofit organizations to address community concerns over three years. Organizations can submit one application per cycle and must be qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving Hillsboro residents. Priority areas are identified collaboratively, focusing on unique projects that deliver measurable outcomes and financial stability, especially in housing stability initiatives.

The Fanwood Community Foundation Grant supports 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that address critical needs within the Fanwood community. Established by dedicated local donors, the Foundation has awarded over $30,000 in grants since 1998. Key areas of focus include food insecurity, wellness promotion, emergency responder support, and crisis hotline training. Grants typically do not exceed $1,000, although larger requests may be considered for multi-year funding, ensuring impactful community initiatives are sustained.

The Wyoming Nonpoint Source Program, part of the WDEQ, aims to enhance water quality through voluntary pollution reduction efforts. It provides $40,000-$80,000 annually via Section 205(J) grants to local agencies for planning and assessment projects, prioritizing efforts in watersheds affected by impaired waterbodies. This initiative encourages collaboration among landowners and various government entities to effectively tackle nonpoint source pollution, which is challenging to identify and manage.

The Deconstruction Grants Program, established by LB 180 in 2009, aims to support the deconstruction of abandoned buildings in Nebraska. This initiative encourages the recycling and reuse of building materials, helping to minimize waste. Eligible applicants include cities and counties with populations of 5,000 or less. Key requirements include obtaining bids for demolition and deconstruction, providing material inventories, and ensuring compliance with local historic preservation regulations.

Beverage Container Recycling Grants

The Beverage Container Recycling Grant (BCRG) Program aims to reach and maintain an 80% recycling rate for all California Refund Value (CRV) beverage containers – aluminum, glass, plastic, and bi-metal.This grant program encourages market development and expansion activities for beverage container materials by helping organizations establish convenient recycling and litter abatement projects. 

Eligible costs are limited to the following:

• Personnel costs directly related to the start-up/implementation of the project are capped at 25% of the total grant award, such as:
• Recycling coordinator salaries or wages for those directly involved, students, consultants
• Purchase of equipment or materials related to infrastructure such as:
• Beverage container recycling bins/receptacles
• Cluster bins
• Lids
• Receptacle liner
• In-unit totes (multi-family residential dwellings)
• Pads/enclosures to accommodate centralized roll-off, balers, scales, optical sorters (for municipality operating its own Material Recovery Facility)
• Equipment modifications
• Signage
• Brochures
• Installation costs for equipment
• Service cart for use in collection of materials
• Laptops, computers, etc.

The California Wildlands Grassroots Fund Grant supports grassroots activists working to preserve California's wildlands and natural habitats. With a maximum award of $10,000, the fund prioritizes projects focused on conservation, environmental advocacy, and community engagement. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and fiscally sponsored individuals with annual incomes of $200,000 or less. The grant aims to empower communities, particularly in rural areas, to advocate for wildlands protection and biodiversity conservation.

Environmental Stewardship: Research Grants

FAO, through its Environmental Stewardship Pillar of Prosperity Fund, offers funding opportunities to advance conservation, environmental stewardship and the greater well-being of Appalachian Ohio.

FAO welcomes proposals for projects that result in scalable change, with a priority for projects that will impact multiple counties. FAO will consider funding requests between $5,000 and $50,000 per project, and at least $150,000 is available to award. We encourage applicants to propose research with the potential to significantly impact the understanding of aquatic biodiversity, water quality and threats to healthy habitats. The following examples illustrate eligible projects, but proposals are not limited to the listed areas.

The Redemption Innovation Grant Program, managed by the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery, aims to support innovative recycling initiatives by funding start-up costs for various recycling projects. Eligible applicants include certified recycling centers and new businesses looking to establish themselves in California. Projects must address unserved zones and comply with existing regulations, contributing to California's commitment to a circular economy by increasing recycling rates and reducing waste.

Purpose

The purpose of this grant program is to support landowners in restoring their forests or assist with establishing new forests. Healthy forests cover provide vital services to our communities, such as clean water, wildlife habitat, a sustainable economic resource, and is an essential tool in mitigating the impacts of climate change. Today, New York forests face challenges to regeneration including:

• deer browse- deer consuming tree seeds and young trees;
• competing vegetation- which shades out seeds and young trees, limiting germination and restricting tree growth
• extreme weather events- hotter and drier growing seasons paired with more intense  rain events, which weaken trees, making it more difficult for them to defend against insects and disease outbreaks.

Active management of our forests is essential to increase the health and resiliency of New York’s forests and the continued regeneration of young trees into the future.

Through Regenerate NY, landowners can apply for financial assistance for projects on their land that support the establishment and renewal of healthy forests. New this year, grants will follow a new system called a Performance Based Payment. This new payment structure will allow landowners to receive partial advance payments to carry out planned work, by submitting workplans and budgets at the beginning of the planning process. Funds will be released each year of the project following the workplan and annual reports.

The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation's Expanded Impact Grants Program aims to support previously awarded Quality of Life grantees in expanding successful initiatives for individuals living with paralysis. Offering up to $100,000 for each of the four grants, this program seeks to enhance evidence-based practices that improve the quality of life for both patients and their caregivers. Eligible organizations must demonstrate previous success and be capable of scaling their impactful projects within 24 months.

401 Suicide Prevention Call Center EnhancementThe Department of Human Services Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery is seeking to fund the capacity expansion of its Suicide and Crisis Lifelines. Entities applying are expected to answer calls that are geo-routed by county and must be able to respond to text and chat interactions that are routed statewide.

This grant is a performance-based grant. Applicants are expected to demonstrate past performance operating a Suicide and Crisis Lifeline center. For applicants without Lifeline call center experience, proposals must demonstrate the ability to meet the expectations outlined in this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).Funding Purpose: The general purpose of this program's funding is to Prioritize equitable, efficient, reliable and timely access across call, chat and text for persons experiencing a behavioral health or other crisis. To expand contact center capacity to response to calls, chats and texts in Illinois.

The Zero Suicide Initiative aims to enhance suicide prevention within Indian health systems by implementing the Zero Suicide framework. This program focuses on culturally informed strategies to empower Tribal health systems, fostering leadership, workforce development, and effective suicide risk identification. It emphasizes timely engagement and evidence-based treatment, ensuring continuity of care and quality improvement, ultimately enhancing outcomes for American Indian and Alaska Native individuals at risk for suicide.

The Family Development Account Tax Credit Program, managed by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, provides essential financing for community organizations to support low-income families in matched savings initiatives. These initiatives empower families to save for education, homeownership, renovations, or small business ventures. Applications for this program are open until April 30, 2025, or until all available tax credits are allocated, ensuring ongoing support for community development.

The Jeanette Zaichkin NRP Nursing Grant for Excellence and Innovation in NRP Education supports nurses dedicated to enhancing neonatal resuscitation training. This grant, offered by the American Academy of Pediatrics, provides up to $10,000 for innovative projects addressing key gaps in transitional physiology and evidence-based practices. Eligible applicants must be current NRP Instructors and work in neonatal care settings. The initiative aims to empower nurses in teaching essential skills for successful newborn resuscitation.

Nassau County has launched the Septic Environmental Program to Improve Cleanliness (SEPTIC) Grant, aimed at replacing outdated septic systems with innovative nitrogen-reducing technologies. Grants of up to $20,000 are available for eligible homeowners and small businesses, addressing nitrogen pollution—an urgent concern for Long Island's water quality. This initiative supports public health and environmental sustainability, significantly reducing nitrogen discharge while ensuring effective wastewater treatment.

The San Francisco Green Infrastructure Grant Program, managed by the SFPUC, aims to support property owners in creating green stormwater infrastructure. This initiative includes projects like permeable pavement and rain gardens, designed to reduce stormwater runoff from at least 0.5 acres of impervious surfaces. Grants can provide up to $2.5 million per project, enhancing public benefits while improving sewer system performance for SFPUC rate payers.

Sadie Jones Fund

The original focus of the Sadie Jones Fund was to provide for vision and hearing needs for individual children in Lyon and Chase counties. While the purpose has expanded, individual children are still eligible to receive assistance.

The Bay Area Lyme Foundation Grant supports innovative research aimed at improving diagnostics and treatments for Lyme disease. With a revised granting schedule, proposals can be submitted year-round, with reviews conducted three times annually. The foundation welcomes applications from universities, hospitals, and independent entities across the U.S., emphasizing the importance of addressing challenges in diagnosing and treating Lyme disease, especially for difficult cases.

The Pulitzer Center Rainforest Reporting Grant supports journalists reporting on critical issues in tropical forests, particularly in the Amazon, Congo Basin, and Southeast Asia. This grant encourages innovative and collaborative proposals while providing essential resources and training. Grants typically range from $8,000 to $15,000, focusing on underreported topics that connect local and global perspectives. The initiative emphasizes transparency, governance, and in-depth reporting to combat illegal wildlife trade and harmful extraction practices.

The FY26 Bureau of Land Management Youth Conservation Corps program aims to engage youth aged 16-30, including veterans and tribal members, in hands-on conservation projects. These initiatives foster skills in natural resource management, promote public land stewardship, and enhance community involvement through trail building, habitat restoration, and cultural resource preservation. By partnering with qualified youth corps, the program supports economic growth and environmental health while preparing the next generation of public land stewards.
