The Jean Griswold Foundation (JGF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting Caregivers through educational opportunities and scholarships. 

Our Mission

The mission of the Jean Griswold Foundation is to support Caregivers by providing educational scholarships* to enable them to further their training, enhance their careers, and better assist the clients they serve.

By offering educational scholarships*, our Foundation will not only make a positive impact on the Caregivers themselves, but also the clients they assist and the home healthcare agencies where they are employed, as well as help advance the overarching home-care industry.

Scholarships will be paid directly to the federally accredited educational institutions of the winning Scholars’ choosing.

Empowering Caregivers Through Education

The Jean Griswold Foundation Scholarship Program awards scholarships to deserving Caregivers who wish to further their education in a care-related field. Applicants do not have to be associated with Griswold in any way, and the funds will be paid directly to the institution where the caregiver will be receiving education.

The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.

The Andrews Foundation was founded and endowed in 1986 as a family foundation by Richard and Judith Andrews. The Andrews Foundation is dedicated to helping people and communities help themselves. We emphasize our support of organizations that help low-income people take control of their lives and permanently escape poverty.

Investing In Our Local Communities

This strategic community outreach initiative focuses on investing resources into meaningful projects and programs that enhance our local communities and strengthen our region’s prosperity.

Port Houston’s Community Grants Program serves as part of our strategic community outreach initiatives focused on investing resources into meaningful projects and programs that enhance our local communities and region. Since the program’s inception in 2020, Port Houston has proudly invested more than $2.65 million dollars into local community programs and projects.

Grant Specifics & Focus Initiatives

Port Houston’s Community Grants Program offers the opportunity for qualifying organizations to apply for funding through an open, competitive application process.

Port Houston is particularly interested in supporting programs or services that align with our current outreach priorities.

These priorities include:

• Revitalizing Communities, Parks, and Greenspaces with a focus on communities that are within three miles of the Ship Channel

• Programs focused on maritime and logistics-related fields, with key focus areas related to the trucking industry and maritime operations.
• Programs focused on STEAM education and/or environmental sciences
• Programs that support career and professional development services

• Educational programs and projects aimed at improving our waterways (bayous & bays).
• Pollution reduction and related education
• Health equity and health disparities

Within these areas, we are particularly interested in funding programs that:

• Scale best practices and proven ideas or pilot promising, evidence-based programs
• Utilize sound evaluation techniques to measure both outcomes and impact
• Demonstrate a commitment to innovation, learning, and adaptation
• Are completed in partnership, cooperation, and consultation with other agencies
• Offer an innovative and promising approach to meeting a community need

Propose a project or program that falls within Port Houston’s priority zone – proximity to the Houston Ship Channel – permitting Grants Program support to positively impact areas within Port Houston’s stakeholder footprint.

Family Support Services (FSS) Community Services Grant (CSG)

This funding opportunity invites grant Applications requesting funding for the CSG program. The purpose of the CSG Project is to connect Participants in need with community crisis pregnancy services, foster care outreach services, and community supports. The CSG program is entirely voluntary and free-of-charge to enrolled Participants. This program is designed to enhance local coordination and navigation of services for children, youth, and families through capacity building and support for innovative and sustainable models for community and family navigation services.

This commitment is realized by offering support to a diverse range of charitable organizations worldwide, including areas such as athletics, community, health, and public benefit.

Community Grant Program

The IRONMAN Foundation Community Grant program supports organizations within select North American and international race communities.

Grant funding provides an opportunity to create positive, tangible change in our race communities and leave the IRONMAN Legacy behind long after race day.

Since 2003, over $60 million has been provided through giveback programs led by the IRONMAN Foundation to more than 10,000 local, regional, national and global nonprofit initiatives.

GME Fellowship Expansion Grant - Rural Health Transformation Program

The Georgia Board of Health Care Workforce (GBHCW) announces the availability of grant funding to support the expansion of Graduate Medical Education (GME) Fellowship programs across rural Georgia through the Rural Health Transformation Program.

This initiative provides funding to rural hospitals, health systems, and academic partners to expand existing Fellowship programs by increasing Fellowship positions. The goal is to strengthen Georgia’s physician workforce by:

• Increasing training capacity in high-need specialties
• Expanding Fellowship opportunities in rural communities
• Improving long-term physician retention in underserved areas

Funding supports a net increase in filled Fellowship slots that serve rural counties and train physicians in core specialties critical to Georgia’s healthcare workforce needs.

Fellows supported under this program must complete training and commit to practicing in Georgia for a combined training and practice duration of at least five (5) years.

Program Requirements

• Programs must demonstrate a net increase in Fellowship positions using January 1, 2026, as the baseline.
• Funding is available only for new Fellowship slots that result in an actual increase in filled positions.

Available Slots & Funding Amount

• Up to 12 Fellowship slots are available statewide in approved areas.
• Each approved Fellowship slot will receive $200,000 per PGY year.
• Funding is distributed in two semi-annual payments of $100,000 each.
• Funding may be awarded for up to three (3) years per Fellowship slot.
