Interlibrary Cooperation Grant

Each year, the Alaska State Library awards Interlibrary Cooperation (ILC) Grants funds for proposals with a direct impact on library users. Libraries of all types (academic, public, school, and special) are encouraged to submit proposals. 

Interlibrary Cooperation Grants are competitive and project-oriented. A grant review committee will evaluate each proposal and score it according to a rubric. Proposals with significant statewide impact on the sharing of resources; cooperative services with another library; innovative programs for the delivery of library services; or training or other programs that strengthen library services, will be more competitive.

Grantees must demonstrate financial commitment to providing ongoing library services once the project is finished. ILC grants cannot be written to support ongoing operational costs, replace primary funding sources, or fund activities that are the primary responsibility of the applicant library

Innovation for Affordable Building Electrification (PON 6162)

Description

This funding targets the commercialization of affordable innovative solutions that can rapidly scale to enable electrification, reduce peak loads, and improve efficiency of the building stock in New York. NYSERDA seeks projects at committed New York State site(s) that address one of the following Innovation Topic Areas:

• Energy Efficiency
• Electrification
• Load Management

NYSERDA has no predefined funding amount or number of awards based on topic area. Eligible solutions must show strong potential to advance one or more aspects of NYSERDA’s core mission in the buildings sector in New York State through reducing GHG emissions, improving energy efficiency, increasing affordability, and/or resiliency in existing buildings in the residential, multifamily, and small/medium commercial market.

The Estella Canziani Post-Graduate Bursary for Research, offered by The Folklore Society, supports research in Folklore Studies at UK universities. It covers expenses like materials and transport for field research but excludes tuition fees. Applicants must be registered in a PhD or equivalent program and may apply once per year. The bursary, valued up to £1,500, is available for one year and aims to promote the study and documentation of folklore globally.

The Small Town Grants Program, offered by the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, aids communities with populations of 10,000 or less by providing grants up to $10,000. The EGLS Doc Brown Young Investigator Award, presented by the American Physical Society, recognizes exceptional young faculty in physics. Awardees receive a cash prize and commendation at the annual spring meeting. Eligible nominees include PhD lecturers and tenure-track faculty who are APS members in the EGLS region and within six years of their appointment. The Steven Weinberg Research Award, presented by the Texas Section of the American Physical Society, recognizes outstanding research in physics by graduate students. Nominees must have presented their research at a Texas APS meeting within the last two years. The NWS Student Travel Award, offered by the American Physical Society, provides financial support of up to $400 for undergraduate students to attend the Annual Meeting. This initiative aims to enhance participation among students, especially those without other funding sources, who are presenting research. Established in 1998, the Northwest Section of APS fosters collaboration among physicists in the Pacific Northwest, promoting educational and research opportunities within the community.

Mobile Beacon's Connect for Success program addresses the digital divide by providing schools with essential technology resources. This initiative offers up to 25 laptops and 4G devices with 12 months of complimentary high-speed internet service. The Duffy’s Foundation was created in memory of Paul Emmett, the owner and founder of Duffy’s Sports Grill. Today, we are committed to providing community enhancement in the neighborhoods surrounding all of our locations.

This grants program is to implement a portion of the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP), established in Chapter 386, Subchapter C of the Texas Health and Safety Code. 

The TCEQ has also adopted rules to implement this program under 30 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) Chapter 114, Subchapter K. The TCEQ has adopted the Texas Emissions Reduction Plan: Guidelines for Emissions Reduction Incentive Grants, RG-388 (guidelines), which contain the more specific standards governing this program.

The goals of the TERP are to:

• assure that air in this state is safe to breathe and meets minimum federal standards established under the Federal Clean Air Act (42 U.S.C. Section 7407); 
• develop multi-pollutant approaches to solving the state’s environmental problems;
• adequately fund research and development that will make the state a leader in new technologies that can solve the state’s environmental problems while creating new business and industry in the state. 

To implement the TERP, the ERIG Program will provide grants for eligible activities to offset the incremental costs of projects that reduce emissions of NOX from high-emitting internal combustion engines in eligible areas.

RIG Project Categories for Eligible Vehicles and Equipment

Projects eligible for funding under this program are intended to reduce NOx emissions in eligible counties. The TCEQ may more narrowly define or limit the types of project categories for a particular funding period.

The types of project categories eligible under the FY17 ERIG funding period include:

• New Purchase or Lease:
• To be eligible for funding, the engine on the new vehicle or piece of equipment must be certified to emit at least 25% less NOx than required under the current standard.
• Certified means approved by EPA, the CARB, or otherwise accepted by the TCEQ.
• Replacement:
• The replacement of an eligible vehicle or piece of equipment with a newer vehicle or piece of equipment.
• Repower:
• The replacement (repower) of an existing engine in an eligible vehicle or piece of equipment with a new, rebuilt, or remanufactured engine.
• The new engine must be certified to emit 25% less NOx than the engine being replaced.
• Certified means approved by the EPA, the CARB, or otherwise accepted by the TCEQ.
• Retrofit or Add-On of Emission-Reduction Technology:
• The retrofit or add-on of emission-reduction technology to an existing engine in an eligible vehicle or piece of equipment.
• Except for retrofits with certain dual-fuel conversion systems, the vehicle or equipment must be currently owned by the applicant and the retrofit or add-on systems must be certified or verified to emit at least 25% less NOx than the engine prior to the retrofit.

Other ERIG Project Categories

• On-Vehicle Electrification and Idle Reduction Infrastructure:
• The purchase and installation of equipment that enables a vehicle or equipment to use electric power to operate, while the vehicle or equipment is parked, the systems normally supplied power by the propulsion engine or another on-board internal combustion engine that emits NOx.
• On-Site Electrification and Idle Reduction Infrastructure
• Use of Qualifying Fuel
• Rail Relocation and Improvement:
• The relocation of rail lines to reduce the number of grade crossings, improvements at rail intersections, and other improvements that will directly result in the reduction of locomotive and/or vehicle engine idling at rail intersections.
• Eligible rail intersections may include the intersection of two rail lines or an intersection of a highway or roadway and a rail line, commonly referred to as a highway-rail grade crossing.
• The grant recipient must own or otherwise control the rail line, right-of-way, or the facility being improved.

The Boston Scientific Foundation Inc. offers charitable donations to U.S. Health Care Providers (HCPs) and National Associations supporting legitimate charitable efforts. These include funding for public health education, community health research, and charitable sponsorships. Eligible applicants are encouraged to reach out to the division Grant Coordinators for inquiries or submission guidance. This initiative aims to foster community well-being and enhance health outcomes through various charitable activities.

The AZ Arts Festival Grant, provided by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, supports diverse arts and culture festivals in Arizona. Grants are available for in-person, virtual, or hybrid events that emphasize artistic expression and community engagement. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, local government entities, and arts agencies. Festivals must span at least two weekends and feature curated programming. Ineligible activities include standalone productions and projects with religious or political purposes.

The Robert D. Hevey, Jr. and Constance M. Filling Fellowship in Anthropology supports graduate students engaged in research on indigenous communities, linguistics, and cultural diversity at the National Museum of Natural History. This ten-week fellowship offers a stipend of $8,000 and additional allowances for research and relocation. Applicants must be enrolled graduate students fluent in English, eligible for both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens, while previous Smithsonian employees are ineligible.

The Open Education Resources (OER) Reviewer Grant, administered by the Texas Education Agency, aims to enhance instructional materials through rigorous review and feedback. This initiative supports school systems, parents, and community members in evaluating OER products, ensuring they adhere to Texas educational standards. The project will focus on diverse materials for various educational levels, including advanced math and integrated learning resources, fostering continuous improvement in the quality of education across Texas.

The MacRobert Trust Horticultural Training Scheme offers hands-on training for up to six trainees annually, providing them with accommodation and a salary at the National Minimum Wage. Trainees engage in practical horticultural skills development while assisting professional gardens teams, and they receive training towards RHS qualifications. The program also includes internships at renowned gardens and is ideal for new entrants and those changers in horticulture. Applications for the 2024/25 cycle are open until April 12, 2024.

The Metropolitan Arts Council (MAC) offers the Arts Organization Quarterly Project Grant Program, prioritizing projects that enhance community impact through arts. Funding up to $3,000 with a 2:1 match encourages initiatives supporting artists, promoting cultural tourism, and ensuring access to the arts for all. This grant facilitates economic growth and aims to attract new audiences to artistic programming, fostering a vibrant cultural landscape in Greenville.

Norton County Community Foundation

The Norton County Community Foundation was established in 1994 for the purpose of supporting local charitable activities in Norton County through endowments made to the foundation.

Since then, NCCF has grown to $5 million in assets. Thanks to its generous donors, NCCF has reinvested more than $10 million into the community through grants supporting qualifying programs and projects. 

All contributions to the foundation are available for qualifying projects and programs that promote the general welfare of the residents of Norton County, protect its rich heritage, and provide incentive for its continued growth.
