Funds cover supplies, equipment, and travel, but not salaries or meeting travel. The award aims to enhance understanding of rodent ecology and their impact on ecosystems.

Wisconsin Sea Grant

Wisconsin Sea Grant is a statewide program of basic and applied research, education, outreach and technology transfer dedicated to the stewardship and sustainable use of the nation’s Great Lakes and ocean resources.

Headquartered at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the institute is housed in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research’s Aquatic Sciences Center. Wisconsin Sea Grant is part of a national network of 34 university-based programs funded through the National Sea Grant College Program, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce and through matching contributions from participating states and the private sector.

Wisconsin Fellowship in Water-Related Environmental Hazards and Public Health

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Aquatic Sciences Center, home to the University of Wisconsin Water Resources Institute and Wisconsin Sea Grant, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, seeks applicants for a fellowship focused on water-related environmental hazards and public health in Wisconsin.

This two-year fellowship provides an opportunity for a recent Master of Public Health graduate or doctoral graduate to apply their technical expertise to real-world public health challenges while gaining valuable experience working alongside professionals in state government. The fellow will be employed by UW- Madison and stationed full-time with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

The fellowship is designed to support both professional development and community impact. Community- engaged science and public health rely on building relationships, fostering trust, and working collaboratively to support informed decision-making. Through this role, the Fellow will gain experience working at this interface, developing and implementing approaches that support communities while learning how to translate scientific knowledge into meaningful public health action.

The National Child Traumatic Stress Initiative aims to enhance trauma-focused treatment and services for children and adolescents affected by traumatic events. By increasing access to these vital services, the initiative seeks to support families in overcoming the challenges posed by trauma. Eligible applicants include public and private nonprofit entities, ensuring a broad reach for effective intervention and support within communities.

The American Heart Association is seeking proposals to study the prevalence and treatment of cardiovascular, kidney, and metabolic diseases among cancer patients and survivors. Given the over 16.7 million cancer survivors in the U.S., this research aims to highlight critical health disparities, identify treatment modalities, and explore shared risk factors. Applications focusing on underrepresented populations and utilizing real-world data sources are especially encouraged, aiming to improve health outcomes in this vulnerable group.

The Worcester County Food Bank Fund to End Hunger, established in 2011, aims to support nonprofit organizations dedicated to eradicating hunger in Worcester County. It focuses on increasing access to healthy foods, enhancing the capacity of food-serving organizations, and advocating for policy changes that benefit marginalized communities. Eligible applicants include all 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving this area, while individuals and businesses are not supported. This grant encourages collaboration with the Hunger-Free Network.

The Dealer.com Community Partnership Grant supports initiatives that create meaningful community impact, aligned with Cox's values. Focus areas include STEAM education, youth development, local sustainability, food security, and health and wellness. Grants are available for capital campaigns and special projects, with a priority on organizations with budgets under $3 million located in Vermont. Applications for 2026 sponsorships are now open, promoting a commitment to building stronger communities.

The Healthy American Forests Initiative, led by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), aims to enhance forest health and resilience through targeted funding. This initiative anticipates awarding 10-15 grants ranging from $250,000 to $2 million, supporting projects up to 2 years in duration. A 20% non-federal match is required, and interested applicants are encouraged to collaborate with NFWF and Native Americans in Philanthropy for potential match funding.

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Foundation offers Healthy Habits for Life Grants to support schools in promoting healthy lifestyle choices for K-12 students. With a maximum grant of $2,000 per school, programs may include initiatives that reduce cardiovascular risk, increase physical activity, and reinforce positive mental health. Schools are encouraged to collaborate on unique projects, such as gardens, health fairs, and fitness activities, aiming to instill lifelong healthy habits in students.

Originally established in 1987 as the Dial-A-Teacher program in Lake County, Florida, by local business leaders in collaboration with the Lake County School District. The primary objective was to provide homework assistance to students, particularly those facing academic challenges. In 1988, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization was renamed the Education Foundation of Lake County, Inc. This rebranding marked a broader commitment to enhancing public education in the community. Today, the foundation continues to serve as a vital link between the community and public education, offering various programs and initiatives to support students and educators throughout Lake County. We are a member of the Consortium of Florida Education Foundations.

Teacher Grants

Each year, the Education Foundation funds projects that directly support students, teachers and classrooms in the Lake County School District. We’re especially excited to back initiatives focused on:

Are you a teacher or support staff member with an innovative project idea that needs funding? The Education Foundation works with our community of supporters to help make that idea a reality. Through our easy-to-use online grant application, educators are encouraged to submit their proposed ideas to secure funding. 

For grants over $2,000, applicants need to get approval from their Principal and the Superintendent (or her designee).

Buprenorphine Drug Assistance Program Grant (BUP-DAP)

This RFA identifies opportunities to provide approved MOUD to low-income clients diagnosed with OUD who have limited or no health care coverage. BUPDAP brings individuals into a system of care and provides them with quality treatment and services. 

Awards:

• up to $35,000 in base year,
• $70,000 in subsequent option years 

The Department awards grants from State appropriations, federal awards, and other funding sources. Since the award and appropriation of these funds do not always conform to the State Fiscal Year, the information included in this directory is based on anticipated grant awards that will begin in the period from July 1 through June 30 of each State Fiscal Year. The ability of the Department to make grant awards is expressly dependent upon the availability of funds appropriated by the State Legislature from State and/or federal revenue or such other funding sources as may be applicable.

Private Well Outreach RFA

This request for applications (RFA) is intended to increase the capacity of New Jersey’s Local Health Departments (LHDs) to respond to the needs of private well users through private well outreach and education efforts. Currently, LHDs in New Jersey have minimal funding to provide private well services or programs to their residents. The New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) intends to provide grant awards to support private well testing and education outreach efforts and other private well focused initiatives. 

The Environment Fund, launched in 2018 by The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, aims to protect and enhance the natural environment of Northern Virginia. It fosters collaboration among nonprofits, businesses, and educational institutions to promote awareness and citizen engagement in environmental protection. In 2025, funding will support nonprofit organizations providing educational programs in conservation, energy efficiency, sustainability, watershed management, and workforce climate initiatives, specifically targeting areas within Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties.

Ottawa County Community Foundation Grants

The Ottawa County Community Foundation, Inc. (OCCF) is a public charitable organization created by the citizens of Ottawa County to enrich the quality of life for individuals and families in Ottawa County. Grants from unrestricted funds support a variety of programs in the fields of education, health and social services, economic development, natural resources and the arts.

The ABC Conservation Awards, funded by the African Bird Club, provide grants of up to £3,000 for conservation projects in Africa. Open to residents and institutions, these awards support diverse initiatives such as bird monitoring, educational programs, and local club support. With over £600,000 awarded since 1996, ABC has funded more than 300 projects across 50 countries, fostering significant contributions to the conservation of African birds and habitats.

The Richard and Mary Myerly Scholarship, offered by the Community Foundation of Washington County, MD, supports low-income students pursuing careers in photography or fine arts at accredited institutions. Established in memory of Richard and Mary Myerly, this scholarship invites applications from students in Washington County and surrounding areas, promoting educational opportunities and honoring community values. With over 100 scholarships available, this initiative aims to empower the next generation of artists and photographers.

The Competitive Grant - Sunbury Fund, established by the Community Giving Foundation, aims to address various charitable needs in the Sunbury area. Since 2005, it has focused on health-related goals, encouraging nonprofit and governmental organizations to apply for funding. Eligible projects include those targeting children's health, early childhood development, oral health, issues affecting the working poor, and coronary care. All funds must be used within the Sunbury Hospital service area, ensuring local impact.

This grant opportunity focuses on implementing Gatekeeper Training in Illinois' correctional facilities to address suicide prevention in communities that are disproportionately affected by mental health issues. The initiative aims to enhance public health strategies aligned with the Illinois Suicide Prevention Strategic Plan 2020. By training gatekeepers, the program seeks to mitigate suicide risks and improve outcomes in vulnerable populations, contributing to a comprehensive approach to mental health support.

The Climate Adaptation and Resiliency Grant Program, established by AB109, aims to support conservation projects that enhance resilience against climate impacts in California. With an initial funding of $20 million from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, this program focuses on protecting ecosystems, assisting land managers, and increasing carbon sequestration, while aligning with statewide climate strategies and priorities. It seeks to promote environmental benefits and enhance the sustainability of natural and working lands.

The James River Water Quality Improvement Grant Program, managed by the Virginia Environmental Endowment, aims to enhance water quality through targeted investments. The program focuses on riparian buffer installations, agricultural pollution reduction, living shoreline construction, and stream restoration. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and local governments, with funding prioritized for implementation costs. Proposals must align with established priorities to demonstrate effectiveness in improving the James River's water quality.

Arizona Criminal Justice Commission

The Arizona Criminal Justice Commission is a statutorily authorized entity mandated to carry out various coordinating, monitoring and reporting functions regarding the administration and management of criminal justice programs in Arizona. In accordance with statutory guidelines, the Commission is comprised of 22 members who represent various elements of the criminal justice system in Arizona. The Commission staff is comprised of up to 25 employees working in seven key program areas. Those program areas are Crime Victim Services, the Statistical Analysis Center, Criminal Justice Systems Improvement, Public Information, Information Technology, Finance, and Drug, Gang, and Violent Crime Control. 

Crime Victim Services Assistance Program

The Arizona Criminal Justice Commission (ACJC) pursuant to A.R.S. § 41-2407, has authorized the distribution of Crime Victim Assistance funds through a competitive grant process. The grant funds must be used to provide victim assistance services or services addressing victimization in Arizona in compliance with Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R10-4-201 through R10-4-204 and Commission guidelines. 

Matching funds of 20 percent of the total grant award are required. 

Special Funding Priorities

For the FY 2027 grant period, the Commission has approved awarding victim assistance funding in accordance with the following tier structure: Tier 1; Tier 2; and Tier 3

Tier 2

Fund projects identified as VOCA Assistance ineligible, for a period beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027. Projects must meet ACJC victim assistance grant program eligibility requirements.

The Emergency Shelter Grants program was established by the Homeless Housing Act of 1986 in response to the growing issue of homelessness in the United States. The Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) program was created to replace the Emergency Shelter Grants program when the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act was signed into law on May 20, 2009. The ESG Program is designed to support sheltered and unsheltered homeless persons, as well as those at risk of homelessness, by providing the services necessary to help those persons to regain stability quickly in permanent housing after experiencing a housing crisis and/or homelessness. 

The BCFO Research Grants support ornithological research and bird surveys in British Columbia. These grants are aimed at fostering connections between researchers and the British Columbia Field Ornithologists (BCFO). Applicants must be BCFO members and request funding for planned projects that promote bird study, knowledge dissemination, and conservation efforts. Projects must be reported in BCFO publications, with funding requests up to $3000 considered, while larger requests require AGM approval.

The Sea Turtle Grants Program, funded by Florida's Sea Turtle Specialty License Plate revenues, supports ongoing research and conservation efforts for Florida's sea turtles through non-competitive mini-grants of $1,000. Eligible organizations, including local governments and non-profits, can apply for funding to continue essential activities like nesting surveys and rehabilitation. Applications are due by March 2, 2026, and prior recipients of Sea Turtle Grants are ineligible for this cycle.

The Artists & Scholars Project Grant supports individual artists and scholars residing in Montgomery County, MD, for projects in diverse arts and humanities disciplines. Aimed at fostering creativity and enhancing skills, the grant encourages innovative work that reflects the multicultural essence of the community. By promoting strategies for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access (DEIA), the Arts & Humanities Council of Montgomery County aims to nurture talent and support distinctive artistic endeavors between May 1, 2026, and April 30, 2027.
