William D. and H. Marie Betrus Smith Scholarship for Theatrical Arts
The purpose of the scholarship is to enhance the performance quality and technical aspects of theater arts for Monroe County residents. Many actors train at length in special programs, conservatories, universities, or colleges to develop their skills. To promote the highest level of accomplishment, the scholarship will fund the mastery of textual interpretation, voice, and movement. Technical awards are considered when portfolios are submitted with applications.
All ages should consider applying, from 7 to 70. If you have been in a show this season, your audition may be waived. Technical awards are considered, so if you have been active backstage, consider applying as well. Note your production role and the approximate number of hours worked to be considered for an audition waiver as well.
NIFA requests applications for grants under the RCDG program for FY 2025 to improve the economic condition of rural areas by helping nonprofit organizations who in turn provide technical assistance to start, expand, or improve cooperatives and mutually owned businesses in rural areas. This notice is being issued to allow applicants sufficient time to leverage financing and prepare and submit their applications. This notice identifies the goals and objectives, eligibility criteria, and application forms and instructions.
The purpose of the RCDG program is to enable nonprofit institutions to establish and operate centers for rural cooperative development (Center). The primary objective of the program is to improve the economic condition of rural areas by helping nonprofit organizations who in turn provide technical assistance to start, expand, or improve cooperatives and mutually owned businesses in rural areas.
The goals of a Center funded under this subsection shall be to facilitate the creation of jobs in rural areas through the development of new rural cooperatives, value added processing, and rural businesses.

Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is a partner, resource, and advocate to higher education institutions across the state.
We work in partnership with the legislature, businesses, and other key stakeholders to ensure our state’s higher education goals are aligned with our state’s economic and talent needs. We are a steward to the state’s strategic plan for higher education, Building a Talent Strong Texas.
And we help Texas students and families access the tools they need to choose a postsecondary pathway while connecting them to financial resources to support them on that pathway. We also help ensure transitions – from high school to postsecondary, between postsecondary institutions, and from postsecondary into the workforce – are efficient.

The S.U.R.F. (Students Understanding Real Futures) Board provides grant funding to support youth-led projects that make a positive impact in Davie County. If you are a student or youth group with an idea to benefit youth in our community, we encourage you to apply.
Each year, the S.U.R.F. Board raises funds and awards grants to youth-led projects that make a positive difference in Davie County. This youth grant program gives high school students a hands-on opportunity to lead, learn, and give back.
Impact 100 Perry County Grantmaking Program
A small group of women came together in December 2016 with one thing in mind – forming a local organization to bring transformational grants to Perry County. The model they have used was established in Cincinnati, Ohio by philanthropist Wendy Steele. Using Wendy’s model, this local group founded Impact 100 Perry County and soon after, adopted the tag line “The Power of Women Giving as One,” which accurately describes our mission. Individually, $500 donations cannot make much of an impact on an organization, but when combined with a group of others, can have a significant impact on a 501(c)3 organization, public school or government entity.
This year, Impact 100 Perry County will award one lump sum grant to one local non-profit organization in the amount of $16,000. If your organization has a project that could utilize up to that amount, please precisely describe the project and how it could benefit the community.

Operating grants are ideal for nonprofits involved in general population well-being. Specific sectors include healthcare, education, social services, and the arts. The goal is to give organizations the financial means they need to focus on their mission, serve their communities, and support long-term stability. These grants allow nonprofits to improve everyday operations, invest in staff development, and expand programs. Funders want to see nonprofits thrive, not just survive, and providing operational support is a key element to making that happen.

Operating grants are often funded by private foundations like the popular Ford Foundation. Some government agencies offer grants to strengthen nonprofit infrastructure, especially in sectors like health, education, and social services. Corporate giving programs may also support nonprofits that align with their values and create lasting impact.
