The NIH Support for Conferences and Scientific Meetings (Parent R13 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) grant aims to facilitate high-quality conferences that align with public health and scientific missions. The Southwest Missouri Public Relations Society of America's Dr. Joe McAdoo Memorial Scholarship offers a $1,200 scholarship for undergraduate students entering their third or fourth year or postgraduate students pursuing degrees in Communications or Public Relations. Applicants must attend one of the designated universities and maintain a GPA of 2.5 or above. The scholarship requires an essay detailing community service and work experience, promoting values of integrity, respect, and collaboration.

Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri

The Community Foundation of Northwest Missouri Inc. was established in 2009 as a 501(c)3 public charity to help donors support their favorite charities while receiving maximum tax advantage.

We serve as a vehicle for charitable giving, helping donors give to the causes they care about. Donor gifts will strengthen nonprofits increasing programs and services. 

Harter, Cody Michael Memorial Scholarship

This fund was established in memory of Cody Michael Harter by The Harter family and the 180th Airlift Squadron Association to provide academic scholarships to graduating seniors of St. Joseph, MO High Schools.

Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in August.

The YAC Mini-Grants program, managed by the Jackson Community Foundation, offers K-12 students the opportunity to submit proposals for classroom projects. Griswold-Jensen First-Generation Scholarship Fund

Created by James Griswold and Trudy Jensen to provide multi-year scholarships to Mendocino Coast high school seniors who are first-generation college students.

The Apprenticeship Innovation Funding (AIF) in California supports innovative apprenticeship programs. Established in 2022, it allocates $95 million over three years to sustain and scale these initiatives. With $3500 per active apprentice per year and a $1000 completion bonus, the AIF aims to enhance training opportunities. The funding rounds have awarded $17.3 million and $24.8 million, with an additional $52 million available for FY 2024-2025 to build on previous successes.

James L. Allhands Student Essay Competition

The James L. Allhands Essay was established by the late James L. Allhands, one of the founding members of AGC and a prolific writer of construction related works. The award recognizes a student essay on a specific topic that is deemed to be beneficial to the advancement of technological, educational, or vocational expertise in the construction industry.

The competition is open to any senior–level student in a four or five–year ABET or ACCE–accredited university construction management or construction–related engineering program.

Both the recipient and sponsor are invited as guests of the Foundation to the AGC Annual Convention. The topic for the 2027 Allhands Essay Competition is: "Promoting Effective Collaboration during Preconstruction ".

Robert L. Bowen Industry Residency Program

Industry residencies are created through partnerships between an educational institution, an AGC contractor, and the AGC Education and Research Foundation. In total, 65 industry residents have been sponsored by the foundation since 2011.

Each educator spends several weeks on site with a construction company with the intent of gaining field experience to bring back to their students. All educators are supported equally by the AGC Education and Research Foundation, their host AGC member company, and their institution. 

On the application, the faculty member must: identify the specific skills and knowledge to be gained during the residency; identify an AGC construction firm or affiliated organization that has agreed to provide the requested professional work experience and financial support; and obtain support from the faculty member's institution. The selected faculty member(s) will document the residency experience in a post-residency report describing the experiences, learning outcomes and the value the residency will bring to his/her classroom.

Participating in this program is an investment in the future of the construction industry, providing valuable current professional experience that can be shared in the classroom. Professional residencies also benefit the host company by providing quality help on projects and if desired, feedback on management processes.

Created by the Mendocino Study Club in honor of Chatter Bishoff and the Club’s 110-year history of service on the Mendocino Coast to support high school, college, and reentry students to pursue their educational dreams.

The Underserved Communities Traffic Safety Grant Program in Massachusetts aims to enhance road safety for vulnerable populations. It supports projects utilizing crash data to identify community needs and implement educational initiatives aimed at reducing fatalities and serious injuries. Partnerships with local organizations are encouraged to foster a comprehensive approach to traffic safety. Key focus areas include impaired driving, pedestrian safety, and seat belt usage. The program aspires to achieve zero fatalities on the roads.

The State Agency Traffic Safety Grant in Massachusetts provides up to $6.5 million in funding for state government agencies to enhance road safety. This grant, administered by the Office of Grants and Research, focuses on critical areas such as impaired driving, child passenger safety, and distracted driving. By targeting these priority areas, the program aims to significantly reduce traffic crashes and improve overall safety on Massachusetts roadways.
