Thrive Philanthropy's Seed Grant supports innovative, small-scale projects outside the USA that promote just, plant-based food systems and reduce animal consumption. The initiative is designed for organizations or individuals aligned with Thrive's mission to eliminate industrial animal agriculture. It encourages applicants with a positive community reputation and excludes for-profit entities. With a focus on grassroots efforts, this grant is a pivotal resource for those aiming to advance vegan advocacy and sustainable food practices.

The Mary C. Murphy Library Construction Grant, offered by the Minnesota Department of Education, supports public library renovations and construction projects aimed at enhancing accessibility. With funding up to $1 million for improvements and $450,000 for accessibility, this grant prioritizes eliminating architectural barriers and ensuring safe, inviting library environments. The initiative reflects the Department's commitment to equitable education access for all Minnesotans, fostering lifelong learning opportunities within communities.

The CFCC Program Grants, offered by the Collier Community Foundation, aim to support local nonprofits addressing community needs in Collier County, FL. The Anishinaabe Arts Initiative Grant, offered by the Region 2 Arts Council, supports artists who are enrolled tribal members and descendants residing in specific Minnesota counties. This grant funds exhibition, performance, and production costs, as well as materials and educational opportunities in the arts. It aims to enhance the careers of artists across all disciplines, thereby strengthening the cultural fabric of North Central Minnesota since 1980.

Louisiana Project Grants

Louisiana Project Grants (LPG), formerly the Decentralized Arts Funding program (DAF), solely funds project assistance for innovative, community-based arts projects that will have a lasting community impact. LPG is administered jointly by the Louisiana Division of the Arts (LDOA) and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge.

LPG grants are available to eligible applicants domiciled in one of the ten parishes represented by the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge. Grant amounts range from $2,500 to $7,500.

The State-Local Partner Mentorship (SLP-M) program aims to establish local arts agencies in Glenn, Kings, and San Joaquin counties, where none currently exist. This initiative supports existing State-Local Partners in fostering new agencies that will enhance arts and cultural activities across these communities. Eligible applicants must have a history of arts programming, nonprofit status, and be current grantees in the CAC State-Local Partners Program, ensuring strong support for local artists and organizations.

The Small Town Challenge Fund, launched by the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies, invites municipalities in Cambria and Indiana counties to apply for one of two $25,000 grants. This initiative aims to establish endowment funds that support long-term community projects. Eligible applicants can receive dollar-for-dollar matching funds for their fundraising efforts. The program encourages local investment and collaboration among municipalities, ultimately fostering sustainable growth and development in small towns.

The Mattoon Foundation for Academic Excellence offers Community Engagement Grants aimed at fostering collaboration between classrooms and the local community. These grants support projects that engage students and families, promoting hands-on learning and shared responsibility for educational success. Eligible applicants include teachers and staff from Mattoon Community Unit School District 2, who must demonstrate support from school administrators and community partners. This initiative enhances civic well-being and empowers students to appreciate their community's culture and history.

The Missouri Arts Council offers Express Grants to support a variety of artistic projects aimed at enhancing community engagement and economic growth through the arts. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, allowing organizations to secure funding for performances, festivals, and educational initiatives. With a commitment to broadening access to the arts, the Council encourages early submissions, especially as funding is limited. This initiative aims to foster creativity and cultural enrichment across Missouri.

The St. Francis Fund Grant Program

The St. Francis Fund Grant Program seeks to provide funding for programs that support animal welfare in Springfield and Greene County, MO. 

This fund will grant up to $3,400 in the summer of 2026.

In awarding grants, the CFO will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status. Grantees must not, in the use of CFO grant funds, discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status either in its employment practices or in its policies and procedures concerning access to services.

Meade County Community Foundation

The idea for Meade County Community Foundation began as a way to keep funds collected by the Sherriff's Department in Meade County instead of sending them onto the state. Since 2019, we have funded several county-wide and individual community projects thanks to these funds and The Patterson Family Foundation.

MCCF is focused on Meade County and all three school districts that serve the youth of our county, extending our reach into Seward County as well. MCCF is a 501(c)3 organization.

Grants

With the generosity of all of our donors and the partnerships we have with the Meade County Sheriff's department and The Patterson Family Foundation, MCCF was able to grant out $16,550 in our Summer 2025 cycle. In 2025 alone, MCCF granted out nearly $30,000. All time grants from MCCF are now over $76,000. 

The Open Education Resources (OER) Reviewer Grant, administered by the Texas Education Agency, aims to enhance instructional materials through rigorous review and feedback. This initiative supports school systems, parents, and community members in evaluating OER products, ensuring they adhere to Texas educational standards. The project will focus on diverse materials for various educational levels, including advanced math and integrated learning resources, fostering continuous improvement in the quality of education across Texas.

The Boston Cultural Council Organizational Grants support small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations and artist collectives with operating grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Aimed at enhancing Boston's cultural landscape, these grants promote accessibility and participation in arts programming. Organizations with budgets under $2 million can apply, with tiered funding based on budget size, ensuring a vibrant and just community for all residents.

Dawbarn Education Awards

The Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge announced its 10 recipients of the 2026 Dawbarn Education Awards with special surprise visits this week. Now in its 32nd year, the Community Foundation honors community members for their significant impact on youth in the three local public school systems, Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro. The award comes with a $10,000 prize and a special banquet to celebrate the recipients in the fall.

Miriam Burrows, the director of educational programs at the Community Foundation, made surprise visits to inform this year’s 10 recipients in person. “Every year, the Dawbarn Education Awards remind us that incredibly important work is bhappening in our schools,” Burrows said. “The nominators and recipients are all so proud of one another, proud of what they do, proud of their students and proud of the schools they work in. “It’s hard not to get choked up. And not one of them is seeking recognition for their work. In fact, they would much rather shine the light on each other than be in the spotlight themselves.

The Field-of-Interest Grant Program, established in 2016 by the Community Foundation of Mendocino County, offers funding opportunities for local nonprofits focusing on arts and culture, disaster relief, and community resilience. With grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,500, the program supports initiatives that enhance public engagement in the arts, provide accessible programming, and foster historical appreciation. This program aims to nurture Mendocino County's unique cultural heritage and support diverse community needs.

The R2AC Community Arts Support Grant provides essential operational funding for arts organizations in the Region 2 area, enhancing their capacity to deliver accessible and innovative arts programming. This grant supports initiatives aimed at community engagement and arts education, with funding ranging from $2,000 to $7,000 annually, based on the organization's yearly expenses. Eligible applicants include arts organizations and affiliates that have demonstrated a commitment to serving their communities through the arts.

The Building for Equity: Capacity Building Grants support organizations in enhancing their long-term facility needs with funding up to $25,000. This initiative prioritizes projects that aid in advocating, planning, and constructing spaces for cultural programming, particularly for underserved communities in King County. Through a competitive evaluation process, grants aim to foster sustainability and community benefit, emphasizing cultural equity and access across the region.

The ASNT Foundation Fellowship Award offers $20,000 to support research and innovation in nondestructive testing (NDT). Aimed at graduate students and early-career professionals, this fellowship encourages the exploration of groundbreaking ideas and development of new technologies in the NDT field. Recipients will be notified after evaluations, and the award includes opportunities for recognition at the ASNT Annual Conference and presentation of findings at ASNT symposia. This initiative is crucial for nurturing future NDT leaders.

The WRAGs Bursary, managed by the WFGA, offers a unique opportunity for young horticulturists aged 18-35 to receive part-time paid training while working under experienced gardeners. This program focuses on skill development through hands-on experience and access to workshops. Graduates often progress to lead their own gardening businesses or secure positions as head gardeners, making this bursary an excellent stepping stone into the horticultural industry.

The California State Nonprofit Security Grant Program (CSNSGP) provides essential funding for nonprofit organizations at high risk of violent attacks and hate crimes. With a maximum of $250,000 available per location, nonprofits can submit up to two proposals to enhance their physical security. This initiative, funded by the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services, aims to strengthen safety measures and support vulnerable communities across the state.

Medical Student Service Leadership Project Grant

AΩA is committed to preparing future leaders in medicine and health care. Leadership is about making a positive difference and can be developed through education, observation, experience, and by working with leader mentors. Service learning provides excellent opportunities for students to develop as servant leaders. Only one team from each school may be nominated.The Grant

The grant is a $9,000, two-year grant – $5,000 the first year, and $4,000 the second year. The grant will be paid to the sponsoring institution. 

Preserving Traditional Arts

Lindblad Expeditions and National Geographic share a commitment to advancing conservation, research, education, and exploration, and inspiring people to learn about, care for, and protect our world. In support of this commitment, the mission of the Lindblad Expeditions-National Geographic (LEX-NG) Fund is to support projects to understand and protect our world’s oceans, restore critical marine and coastal habitats, and foster environmental stewardship in the regions visited by the fleet, and beyond. The Fund supports inspirational, passionate project leaders who are committed to illuminating and protecting the wonder of our world. National Geographic Society and Lindblad Expeditions are in search of projects that support the work of traditional artists, knowledge holders, and heritage practitioners to preserve cultural heritage for communities around the world.

Opportunity Overview

The preservation of traditional arts such as crafts, music and folklore is crucial for the vibrancy and survival of cultural knowledge and practices worldwide. Cultural heritage, the diverse legacies of past and present societies in their many unique forms, shapes the way we identify and interact with the world. This RFP will fund projects conducting holistic conservation work that centers the role and agency of local and descendant communities. 

This RFP seeks to support projects in Baja California, Egypt, Europe and the Mediterranean, Southeast Alaska and British Columbia, and the South Pacific. For more detailed information on targeted areas within these regions, please refer to the targeted areas document. Potential projects should be led by artisans or practitioners with deep experience in the relevant local culture(s). If you are not such an artisan or practitioner but have an idea for a project that could be a good fit for the RFP, at least one artisan or practitioner should be included on your project team. Projects may include documentation and inventorying of artisan practices, methodologies, or designs; capacity development through structured apprenticeships, workshops, or trainings focused on local or regional stakeholders (including in the use of sustainable or repurposed materials in traditional arts); or knowledge sharing through community exhibits, practitioner-archival collaborations, or other approaches focused on safeguarding local artisan traditions and practices. Projects should include efforts to support sustainable transmission of traditions across generations and describe proposed activities and impacts in detail. Relevant artistic practices and living traditions for this RFP may include but are not limited to craft, music, adornment, dance, and spoken arts. Proposals will be evaluated for feasibility, applicant experience, strength of community engagement, capacity building, and novel contributions. Projects addressing an urgent need pertaining to the sustainable preservation or transmission of a particular art or practice may be prioritized.

The Women Chemists Committee + Eli Lilly Travel Award supports female chemists at undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral levels, enabling them to attend meetings and present their research. This initiative aims to enhance women's participation in the chemical sciences. Awards are based on scientific merit and financial need, covering registration, travel, and accommodations for U.S.-based meetings. Recipients also benefit from networking opportunities, including poster sessions and luncheons, fostering connections with ACS governance and peers.
