Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program (ICAAP)

The Iowa DOT is now accepting applications for the Iowa Clean Air Attainment Program (ICAAP). Eligible project activities continue to include improvements to motor vehicle traffic flow, public transit service expansions, and reductions in single occupant vehicle travel.

Program Intent

The intent of the ICAAP program is to help finance transportation projects and programs in Iowa that result in attaining or maintaining the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) of the 1990 Clean Air Act Amendments (CAAA) with a focus on volatile organic compounds, nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, and under certain conditions particulate matter. Projects likely to be competitive will be costeffective uses of federal funds that result in increased travel speed, reduce travel delay, or reduce single occupancy vehicle trips and reduce vehicle emissions in areas with higher transportation related air pollution or traffic congestion.

Cost Reimbursement and Required Match

Funds awarded thought the ICAAP Program are provided to project sponsors on a reimbursement basis and are not provided as lump sum or cash payment in advance of costs being incurred. All projects require project sponsors to pay 100 percent costs up front. ICAAP funds may reimburse for up to 80 percent of eligible project costs or up to the approved grant maximum, whichever is less. 

Impact100 Atlanta is a philanthropic initiative led by a diverse group of women aiming to create a sustainable impact in Metro Atlanta through collective funding. Grants are awarded based on eligibility criteria, and five finalists are selected to compete for funding at the Annual Meeting, promoting transformative projects within the community.

The Wyoming Wildlife & Natural Resource Trust Grants support projects that enhance and conserve wildlife habitats and natural resource values across Wyoming. Established in 2005, this initiative provides funding to non-profit and governmental organizations for various projects aimed at improving terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. Eligible projects include habitat improvement, open space preservation, and water enhancement. The Trust's mission is to maintain Wyoming's rich natural heritage while ensuring public benefits through sustainable practices.

The Coastal Program's Capacity Grants for Technology Upgrades support local and Tribal governments in Minnesota to enhance coastal management through technology. Grants up to $4,500 can be used for equipment, software, and training aimed at improving water quality, habitat restoration, and community resilience. Eligible applicants must match 10% of the funds. Priority will be given to rural or Tribal communities with limited funding, ensuring equitable access to resources for sustainable coastal development.

The Active Transportation Grant Program aims to promote increased use of active transportation modes, such as biking and walking, throughout California. This program consolidates various federal and state transportation efforts and allocates significant funding annually to enhance safety and mobility for non-motorized users. The ATP also focuses on advancing public health and ensuring that disadvantaged communities benefit from transportation improvements, ultimately striving to make California a leader in active transportation initiatives.

The Harold K.L. Castle Foundation is dedicated to strengthening Windward O‘ahu communities by investing in their rich cultural heritage, youth, and natural resources. The foundation aims to enhance educational outcomes for local youth, ensuring they graduate high school with essential skills and support their future success in STEM fields. By fostering collaboration and innovation among organizations, the foundation seeks to build sustainable capacity within the region, ultimately contributing to the vitality and resilience of its communities.

The Thomas Wilson Foundation, established in 1875, is dedicated to enhancing the health and welfare of children in Baltimore City. It provides funding for medical research, medical services, and social and community programs aimed at supporting youth. The Foundation specifically targets initiatives that benefit children and youth aged 18 and under, ensuring that resources are directed towards improving their overall well-being and access to essential services.

South Arts Inc

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, South Arts is a nonprofit regional arts organization empowering artists, organizations, and communities, and increasing access to arts and culture.

In partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts and the State Arts Agencies of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee — with additional funding from other public and private donors such as the Doris Duke Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and Mellon Foundation — South Arts supports artists and organizations through a rich and responsive portfolio of grants, fellowships, and programs. Arts in Community Grants

Program Description

Arts in Community Grants are designed to support deeper engagements between Southern communities and artists. Through these grants supported by the National Endowment for the Arts, we aim to increase access to the arts, expand audiences for artists, and broaden our reach. Eligible projects require a Southern artist/company visiting another Southern state for public activities, offering access to arts programming by professional artists. Funding supports Southern film directors, traditional artists, visual artists, performing artists, or writers:

• film (documentary, fiction, experimental, and animation),
• traditional arts (music, dance, storytelling, and visual arts/crafts),
• visual arts (crafts, drawing, experimental, painting, photography, sculpture, and mixed media),
• performing arts (theater, music, opera, musical theater, and dance), and
• literary arts (fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry).

Projects require an artist or artist ensemble and a host or partner organization. Project must include at least two in-person or live, virtual public activities – both a public presentation (a film screening, performance, reading, or exhibition) and an educational/community engagement activity (a workshop, demonstration, lecture, facilitated discussion, or master class). The grant requires a dollar-for-dollar cash match.

The Santander Bank Charitable Giving Program is committed to enriching communities through $100 million in charitable giving. Eligible applicants must be recognized as public charities by the IRS and demonstrate the capacity to serve community needs. The program aims to foster partnerships to uplift low- and moderate-income communities across its operational footprint, ensuring a lasting impact through philanthropic efforts.

The Dime Bank Foundation Grant supports organizations that enhance community well-being, focusing on affordable housing, basic human services, and educational programs. Established in 1998, the foundation has three grant cycles annually, requiring a post-grant report within a year of funding. Eligible organizations must be tax-exempt and serve specified regions in Connecticut and Rhode Island. The foundation prioritizes projects that foster self-sufficiency and collaborative efforts for underserved populations.

The grant aims to enhance access to newborn hearing and pulse oximetry screenings in out-of-hospital settings across Minnesota. By providing portable screening equipment, it seeks to ensure timely identification and intervention for infants who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH) and those with critical congenital heart disease (CCHD). This initiative aligns with state mandates to improve newborn health outcomes and connect families with essential services.

The Climate Justice Organizing Fund aims to support grassroots organizations working towards climate justice by providing essential resources for capacity building and strategic development. This initiative focuses on addressing interconnected issues such as racial and health equity, food security, and affordable housing, ensuring that communities most affected by climate change have the tools and training needed to advocate for their rights and implement effective strategies for long-term success.

The Community Grants Program: East Hawaii Fund supports nonprofit organizations working to enhance the well-being of East Hawai‘i communities. It prioritizes projects that address educational opportunities, strengthen intergenerational relationships, promote economic sufficiency, and improve social conditions. Grants typically last one year, up to $10,000, and encourage collaborative efforts among various community sectors. Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community groups, and school projects that align with the fund's priorities.

Summer Youth Enrichment Grant

NewYork-Presbyterian is dedicated to partnering with community-based organizations (CBOs) that provide impactful summer programs for youth and adolescents. Through the Summer Youth Enrichment Grant (SYEG), we invest in young people when opportunities for enrichment, a sense of belonging, and access to safe spaces are essential for their growth and well-being.

Grant Overview

SYEG provides grants of up to $50,000 to support summer initiatives that provide engaging, developmentally appropriate, and relevant programming to children and adolescents. The grant supports a wide range of program types, including but not limited to:

• Arts and Creative Expression
• Leadership and Civic Engagement
• Physical Fitness
• Academic Development
• Career and Job Readiness

Special consideration will be given to organizations whose programs primarily serve youth in the following communities: Corona, Crown Heights, Lower East Side, Mount Vernon, Peekskill, Washington Heights & Inwood, White Plains, University Heights.

This grant supports both new and existing programs that will take place during the summer months.

The San Fernando Valley Audubon Society Grant offers funding up to $5,000 for projects that promote bird conservation and education in the SFVAS territory. Eligible applicants include non-profit groups and individuals focused on research, educational initiatives, and conservation efforts. Applications should be submitted four weeks prior to the board meeting for consideration. This grant supports diverse projects, enhancing knowledge and resources for avian conservation and public education.

The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program provides opportunities for New Jersey communities to enhance academic enrichment and support for students in grades three through twelve. This competitive grant program encourages organizations to offer a variety of services, including tutoring, youth development, and family engagement initiatives. Eligible entities include non-profits, schools, and local government agencies, aiming to address the needs of students in low-performing schools.

The William Penn Foundation aims to reduce annual untreated sewage overflows in Philadelphia by 5 billion gallons by 2035. This initiative focuses on addressing outdated infrastructure that contributes to pollution during extreme weather events. By engaging communities, particularly those most affected, the foundation seeks innovative solutions to improve water quality and public health. This effort aligns with ongoing successes since the Clean Water Act and highlights the need for equitable access to clean waterways.

The Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) by the Mayor's Office of Homeless Services invites proposals from organizations to aid individuals and families at risk of homelessness or currently homeless, including those living with HIV/AIDS. This competitive grant offers multiple funding sources for FY25, including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Maryland State funds, to support essential services and programs for vulnerable populations.

New Seasons Market offers donation requests to 501c3 nonprofit organizations addressing food insecurity through equitable systems and immediate relief. Please allow 4 weeks for processing, as only approved requests will receive responses. Donations are typically provided in the form of gift cards to support community efforts. This initiative emphasizes collaboration with partners focused on policy advocacy and the underlying causes of hunger.

The Clowes Fund focuses on supporting socioeconomically disadvantaged individuals in New England, particularly in Massachusetts.
