Participants can receive up to 75% funding for conservation efforts, with annual payments capped at $50,000. The Albert W. and Helen C. Meserve Memorial Scholarship supports students from specific Connecticut communities pursuing degrees in environmental sciences or nursing. Administered by the Center for Scholarship Administration, the scholarship varies in amount and is applied towards tuition and related costs. Eligible applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5, demonstrate leadership qualities, and attend an accredited four-year institution as full-time students. The scholarship is non-renewable and can be awarded for up to four years.

The UT Agricultural Management Assistance Grant supports agricultural producers in managing financial risk through diversification and conservation practices. Administered by NRCS, the program offers financial assistance covering up to 75% of conservation practice costs, with a cap of $50,000 annually per participant. Eligible producers must engage in agriculture, control the land for the contract duration, and comply with specific provisions. This initiative aims to enhance sustainability and resource management in Utah's agricultural sector.

Small Grants for Improving Community Vital Conditions 

Healthy Communities Delaware (HCD) is accepting applications for grants to support projects that focus on improving community vital conditions. The Improving Community Vital Conditions Small Grant is designed to expand economic opportunity for low- and moderate-income (LMI) consumers and communities. Grant proposals should aim to improve one or more of the Vital Conditions for Well-Being within LMI communities. 

Green Partners Grant

Engage, educate, act and collaborate for the environment

Hennepin County provides funding and support to organizations to actively educate, engage and motivate residents to become environmental stewards and make positive behavior changes.

Through the Green Partners program, Hennepin County contracts with organizations to implement projects that engage youth and adults in becoming environmental stewards. Projects engage youth in learning about environmental topics and taking leadership on environmental issues as they get older. Green Partners also supports projects to engage our adult residents in helping the county reach it’s zero waste and climate goals by preventing waste, composting organic waste, reducing, reusing, recycling, and repairing and caring for our natural resources by improving water quality, caring for trees, and creating habitat to protect birds, bats, and pollinators.

Types of Grants

Hennepin County has three Green Partners programs.

• Environmental Action Program
• Youth Environmental Leadership Program
• Youth Environmental Education Program

Youth Environmental Leadership Program

Youth environmental leadership projects encourage environmental leadership and/or exposure to green jobs for young people in high school up to age 24, (collectively, the “Project”). Project activities should encourage an environmental stewardship mindset that lasts beyond the program. Projects may provide opportunities for youth leadership in their school or community and exposure to green jobs or investigation into the green aspects of jobs they are interested in pursuing. Climate change projects related to zero waste and protecting natural resources are priorities for this program. Preferred projects incorporate county identified project ideas.

Levels of Funding

• If you have received a Green Partners award before, you can apply for up to $25,000 for a one-year project or, if you meet the criteria, up to $50,000 for a two-year project.
• If you have never received a Green Partners award before, you can apply for up to $12,000 for a one-year project. 

The Lancaster Thrives Together Grant, offered by the Lancaster County Community Foundation, allocates $375,000 to support community benefit organizations in Lancaster County, PA. This competitive funding aims to foster economic stability by addressing root causes of poverty and assisting underserved populations. Projects focusing on financial literacy, job training, healthcare access, and supportive services are encouraged. The initiative emphasizes innovation and holistic approaches to empower vulnerable communities and promote long-term self-sufficiency.

The AmeriCorps Program Grant in Wyoming supports non-profits in hosting AmeriCorps members to serve communities in need. This grant facilitates the development of impactful programs across various sectors, including education and healthcare. Organizations must submit a concept paper to outline their proposed projects and member needs. By engaging volunteers, the grant aims to foster community resilience and create meaningful service opportunities for individuals, ultimately enhancing the quality of life in Wyoming.

The Clayton County Foundation for the Future Grant supports projects focused on enhancing education and addressing community needs, particularly for underserved populations. Grants are awarded to nonprofit organizations that demonstrate capacity building, community impact, and innovative solutions. Eligible projects span health services, education, community development, and arts, with a maximum funding request of $1,000. This year, there is a strong emphasis on youth enrichment initiatives, ensuring the involvement of those served in program planning.

The Anchor QEA Scholarship supports graduate students pursuing degrees in engineering, environmental sciences, or related fields, with awards between $1,000 and $10,000. This program emphasizes helping those in financial need, particularly focusing on BIPOC students to address inequities in STEM. Eligible candidates must demonstrate a commitment to community service and possess an inclusive mindset. This initiative reflects Anchor QEA's dedication to fostering a diverse and equitable educational environment.

The Forever Austin Fund Grant offers support for urgent and systemic needs in Central Texas, focusing on economic mobility, health, and environmental sustainability. Through collaborative efforts, grants will be awarded to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations, with amounts ranging from $5,000 to $50,000. This fund aims to empower communities by addressing barriers and fostering long-term growth, with a commitment to improving health outcomes and preserving natural resources. Applications are welcome from diverse organizations serving the Central Texas region.

The Gilchrist Foundation offers project grants to pre-selected non-profit organizations that align with its mission in the arts, wildlife conservation, public broadcasting, and disaster relief, primarily focusing on the Sioux City area. Organizations can apply for funding to enhance or establish programs that are self-sustaining, as the foundation does not intend to provide long-term financing. Interested parties must first request an invitation to apply for funding.

The International Exchanges: Cost Share Programme Scheme, funded by The Royal Society, aims to foster new research collaborations between UK scientists and their international counterparts. It offers essential funding for both UK and overseas partners to strengthen emerging partnerships or initiate short visits. This initiative encourages diversity and aims to create equitable opportunities for talented researchers from various backgrounds, enhancing innovation in science for global benefit.

The Anne and Henry Zarrow Foundation aims to alleviate poverty by funding nonprofits focused on housing, social services, healthcare, and community empowerment, primarily in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations operating within designated townships in Chester and Montgomery Counties. The Applied Materials Foundation offers grants focusing on education, arts and culture, civic engagement, the environment, and girls' empowerment. These grants are designed to meet local community needs and support innovative projects that enhance educational opportunities, promote cultural activities, and foster civic participation. The foundation prioritizes collaboration with local organizations in areas where Applied Materials operates, ensuring impactful contributions to community resilience and sustainability.

The Quetico Superior Foundation Grant supports the preservation of Minnesota’s Border Lakes Canoe Country and Ontario’s Quetico Provincial Park. It funds diverse projects ranging from land preservation to youth programs. Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 organizations engaged in wilderness protection. The Von Voigtlander Family Foundation Grant, though currently closed, aims to support 501(c)(3) charitable organizations, primarily in Michigan. The foundation emphasizes animal welfare, parks preservation, veteran support, and youth empowerment. They prioritize charities that promote responsible pet ownership, outdoor recreation, and provide resources for veterans and youth, ensuring a positive impact across multiple sectors.

The Erie Women's Fund Grant aims to empower women and families in Erie County by providing financial support to local nonprofits. Since its inception in 2007, the fund has awarded over $1.1 million to organizations that share its mission. Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 nonprofits, with a focus on collaborative projects. Impact 100 Palm Beach County empowers women to collectively fund transformative $100,000 grants for nonprofits, enhancing community initiatives in southern Palm Beach County. The grant application process includes attending a Nonprofit Grant Workshop and submitting a Letter of Intent. Successful applicants will undergo a rigorous review, leading to a formal request for a Full Proposal. Established in 1996, it prioritizes initiatives focused on education for youth, food and housing security for families, cultural and scientific institutions, and civic support for Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Grants are limited to organizations exempt from federal taxation and do not fund individuals, religious activities, or political organizations.
