County Forest Wildlife Habitat Grant

Eligibility & Purpose:

Funds are available to finance county forest wildlife habitat management with emphasis on forest wildlife habitat improvement, inventories and wildlife education. Funding is available at $.10/acre for counties that have lands in the county forest program

Maine Sea Grant Undergraduate Scholarship in Marine Sciences

In partnership with undergraduate institutions throughout the state, Maine Sea Grant is recruiting applications for its annual Undergraduate Scholarship in Marine Sciences. The goals of this scholarship program are:  

• Provide support for tuition or other academic or research-related expenses.
• Develop a statewide network of undergraduate scholars doing exemplary academic work on marine and coastal issues.
• Offer participating students academic and professional development opportunities.
• Create mutually beneficial outcomes for students, partner institutions, and Maine Sea Grant. 

Award

Each applicant selected for this award will receive a $2,000 scholarship to support tuition or other academic or research-related expenses. This award is made possible through a matching grant program in which each $1,000 award from Maine Sea Grant is matched with a $1,000 award from the selected applicant’s home institution.

The Division of Health Promotion, through its Community Health and Wellness Unit (CHWU), announces the availability of funding awarded to the State under the Rural Health Transformation (RHT) Grant Program. This funding opportunity is designed to support innovative and sustainable strategies that improve chronic disease outcomes, increase access to quality healthcare services, address health disparities, and strengthen healthcare systems in rural communities.

Activity 5.2a: NJ Rural Southern Physical Activity and Nutrition Program (NJ R-SPAN)

This program will support evidence-based physical activity, nutrition, and obesity prevention initiatives for rural communities by leveraging partnerships and resources from various sectors (e.g., agriculture, transportation, education, healthcare, parks/recreation, business, housing, and defense/military) to address health disparities related to poor nutrition, physical inactivity, and/or obesity in Atlantic, Cumberland, Salem, Cape May counties. This project aims to address the lack of access to care, nutritious food, and safe spaces for physical activity. Objectives include the following:

• Increased access to evidence-based arthritis management & physical activity;
• Increased access to nutritious foods;
• Increased access to preventive and clinical care;
• Increased access to health screenings; and
• Increased proportion of employers offering worksite wellness initiatives.

The Kauffman Foundation's Collective Impact Grant - Planning supports coalitions of high-capacity organizations aiming for systems-level change in the Kansas City area. Grants of up to $500,000 are available to facilitate nine months of planning for collaborative initiatives. Eligible applicants include both established and emerging coalitions, focusing on education, employer connections, and equitable access. This initiative aligns with the foundation's strategic priorities to enhance economic mobility for Kansas Citians.

The Kauffman Foundation's Project Grant aims to empower organizations to design and implement impactful multiyear projects that enhance economic mobility in the Kansas City region. Funding of $250,000 or more per year is available for projects focusing on education, skills development, and community engagement. While primarily serving the Kansas City area, grants may also be awarded to organizations from outside the region that can demonstrate a significant impact on local communities.

The Kauffman Foundation offers research grants to support projects that enhance understanding of economic mobility and strategic priorities in Kansas City. These grants are available to various organizations, including social welfare and for-profit entities. The foundation emphasizes the importance of community engagement and innovative approaches in addressing systemic barriers. Projects should align with focus areas like education, workforce development, and entrepreneurship, aiming to create equitable access and impactful outcomes.

The George F. and Sybil H. Fuller Foundation Grant supports non-profit organizations in Worcester and Boylston, Massachusetts, focusing on youth services for ages 0-22. The foundation welcomes unsolicited proposals for various projects, including capital campaigns, educational programs, and healthcare initiatives. However, it does not fund individuals, endowments, or large multi-year capital grants. Organizations seeking support must align with the foundation's interests in culture, education, and social services.

The CDC is allocating funds through NOFO DD-27-0028 to enhance maternal child health surveillance and partnerships. This initiative targets public health challenges such as alcohol use during pregnancy and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs). It aims to improve clinical surveillance systems, data quality, and timely reporting, while fostering national partnerships to prevent FASDs and support affected infants and children. Sponsorship/Education/Conservation Grants provide funding to organizations for projects/events that closely relate to or assist in fulfilling the Department’s mission.

The PNASH Pilot Project Program at the University of Washington focuses on enhancing agricultural safety and health through innovative research and outreach. The program supports both early-stage and experienced investigators in developing preliminary data, adapting proven tools, and exploring new research directions. With funding of up to $30,000 for pilot projects and an additional $5,000 for education grants, this initiative aims to improve workplace safety for agricultural workers, including those in fishing and forestry. The purpose of Activity 5.2b is to reduce barriers and increase reimbursement for education on diabetes, cardiovascular, and other chronic diseases covered by public and private insurers.

The Mathers Charitable Foundation Grant focuses on advancing basic scientific research with the potential to transform human health. The foundation empowers researchers to drive innovative solutions and foster meaningful contributions to science and society. The Ruby Habitat Enhancement Fund supports conservation efforts in Nevada, focusing on projects that benefit sage grouse and pygmy rabbits. With an initial funding of $500,000, eligible projects include habitat restoration, monitoring, and weed treatments within specified counties. Proposals from public entities, universities, and recognized conservation organizations are encouraged. New Leaf Fund - Summer Cycle

Community Foundation of Greenville administers grants to preserve parks, open spaces, and historical and cultural assets through the New Leaf Fund.

The New Leaf Fund was established in 2025 by a Greenville native with a passion for conservation.

The Foundation encourages grant requests that include the protection of land and waterfront areas, increased tree cover and access to green spaces, and the protection and restoration of historical properties, in the City of Greenville, in Greenville County, and, to a lesser degree, in the Upstate.
