Applications are reviewed and considered by the advisors of the George B. Todd Fund on a quarterly basis. 

The Spinks Family Foundation offers small grants to support non-profit organizations dedicated to improving community life in South Carolina. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) certified, with a focus on volunteer engagement and community services. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and reviewed quarterly, providing essential funding for initiatives in education, health, and food security. The Community Foundation of West Plains Affiliate Grantmaking Program aims to enhance the quality of life in the West Plains area through strategic grantmaking. Governed by a knowledgeable Board of Directors, the program prioritizes community needs and encourages applications from 501(c)3 organizations and other IRS-approved entities. With funding up to $2,500, the foundation supports diverse initiatives while ensuring non-discrimination in its practices. This flexible approach empowers local leaders to make impactful decisions for their community.

The Airport Improvement Program - Matching Grant in Ohio aims to enhance the safety and functionality of the state's airports. With approximately $7 million available this year, the program supports various projects at general aviation airports funded by the FAA AIP Grant program. Eligible sponsors include publicly owned airports that do not receive FAA Air Carrier Enplanement Funds. This initiative plays a crucial role in maintaining Ohio's robust airport infrastructure.

The Harold H. Bate Foundation provides financial support to enhance education, youth, recreation, and quality of life in Craven, Pamlico, and Jones Counties, as well as East Carolina University. Grants are available to 501(c)(3) organizations serving these areas, ensuring that the legacy of philanthropist Harold H. Bate lives on. However, grants are not made to individuals, political campaigns, or religious organizations for theological purposes, maintaining a focus on community benefit.

DACO Affiliate Grantmaking Program

The DACO Community Foundation works to improve the quality of life for individuals in Dade County through thoughtful grantmaking and community leadership. The DACO Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors, chosen for their knowledge of the area. Grant decisions are made by the grant committee. The unique role of a community foundation is to conduct a flexible community grantmaking program which addresses the most important needs of the community at any one time. The flexibility this requires is made possible by charitable donors who established unrestricted or field-of-interest funds and place the decision-making in the hands of the community leaders serving on our Board of Directors as well as dollars raised by the DACO Community Foundation.

In awarding grants, affiliates of the CFO will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status. Grantees must not, in the use of CFO grant funds, discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, ability, sexual orientation, gender identity or veteran status either in its employment practices or in its policies and procedures concerning access to services.

Funding

Applicants may apply for up to $1,000.00 in funding for this grant cycle.

Project G.I.F.T. (Grants Invested in the Future of Troy) offers funding up to $5,000 annually for programs that address community needs. Nonprofits and student organizations are eligible to apply for grants, with a maximum of $500 available per organization. The initiative is part of the Teen Leadership Troy program, encouraging teens to engage in the grant selection process and celebrate award recipients at a ceremony hosted by The Troy Foundation.

Insperity's Corporate Contributions program emphasizes community involvement and corporate citizenship, providing philanthropic grants and event sponsorships to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Eligible organizations must engage Insperity employees or contribute to the communities where they operate. The program aims to support nonprofits in achieving their service goals and enhancing community welfare. Applications must be submitted 90 days prior to events, and funding requests can be made once a year.

The Greater Topeka Fund Grant, established by the Topeka Community Foundation, supports nonprofit organizations in Topeka and Shawnee County. With over $120,000 awarded in 2024, grants of up to $10,000 focus on projects that address community needs and enhance quality of life. Organizations can apply year-round, provided they submit a clear and itemized budget. Note that grants do not support capital campaigns or for-profit entities.

Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies

Established in 1948, the Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) – a nonprofit, non-political, scholarly society – is the leading international organization dedicated to the advancement of knowledge about Central Asia, the Caucasus, Russia, and Eastern Europe in regional and global contexts.  

ASEEES Next Generation Dissertation Research Fellowship Program

Established in 2025, the ASEEES Next Generation Dissertation Research Fellowship Program provides a maximum stipend of $28,000 for doctoral students at US universities, regardless of citizenship, to conduct dissertation research in Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies. The program is open to students in any discipline whose dissertation topics are within Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian Studies.

Fellowship Project Scope

• The dissertation topic must be in Slavic, Eastern European, and Eurasian studies
• Most of the proposed research should be conducted in Eastern Europe and/or Eurasia but the fellowship can be used to conduct research for a briefer period in secondary site(s) such as the U.S.; in cases of equally qualified applications, some preference may be given to research entirely in the region

The stipend can be spent on expenses incurred while conducting research, including living expenses, research expenses, international airfare, visa expenses, and evacuation and health insurance.

The FY26 US DOT Drone Infrastructure Inspection Grants (DIIG) Program aims to enhance the use of drones for critical infrastructure inspections by eligible government entities. With $9 million available, the program supports innovative drone technologies and prioritizes projects that improve safety and operational efficiency. Grant funds can be used for purchasing drone systems and contracting services. The federal share may reach up to 75% in certain cases, fostering collaboration and technological advancement in infrastructure management.

Residential Fellowships

Fellowships offer scholars the time, space, and support they need to pursue their work and the opportunity to take part in the Center’s vibrant intellectual community.

The National Humanities Center’s Residential Fellowship is one of the most prestigious humanities fellowship programs in the world. Fellows enjoy a beautiful and serene space to write, unparalleled library and reference support, excellent dining services, and a stimulating and supportive intellectual community.

A key feature, meanwhile, that differentiates us from many other fellowships is our residential requirement. Researchers are especially encouraged to apply when they expect to benefit from, and actively contribute to, an in-person community of other humanities researchers. If you prefer a research fellowship that allows you to do field work or to work in your own local space, this may not be the fellowship for you.

To be considered for this program, applicants must select that their institution is an HBCU when prompted in the online application system to identify the type of institution with which they are affiliated. Applicants may apply for a residential fellowship for the fall semester (September through December), spring semester (January through May), or academic year (September through May).

Brandon Community Foundation Grant

The Brandon Community Foundation was created by and for local citizens to improve the quality of life right here in our community. Gifts to this endowment fund, an affiliate of the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation, grow over time thanks to the benefit of a pooled investment that generates long-term asset growth.

Through the power of endowment, each and every year we are able to award important grants to Brandon-area nonprofits. To date, more than $515,000 has been granted to nonprofits and causes throughout the Brandon area, touching the lives of people right here at home.

Typical grants range from $500 - $10,000.

The Belmont Savings Bank Foundation Grant focuses on enhancing the quality of life for residents of Belmont through financial support for nonprofit organizations. The Foundation prioritizes projects that benefit the local community and require applicants to have 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(1) status. However, it does not fund political activities, religious purposes, or individual scholarships. This initiative aims to foster community improvement and support diverse local initiatives.

The Fox Family Foundation Grant offers financial support to non-profit organizations, including those not designated as 501(c)3, with a focus on Southeastern Colorado. Applications are accepted each fall, with a deadline on the last Friday of October. Grant amounts typically range from $500 to $1,000, awarded before the year ends. This foundation values the contributions of organizations working to enhance their communities and is dedicated to fostering their efforts.

The Beaird Family Foundation Grant supports nonprofit organizations primarily in the Shreveport-Bossier City area of North Louisiana. Established by Carolyn and Charles Beaird, the foundation prioritizes funding local, innovative programs that improve community well-being. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and adhere to the foundation's nondiscrimination policy. The foundation has awarded significant funding since its inception in 1960, focusing on diverse areas including education, healthcare, and community development.

The Edinburgh Fellowship, sponsored by the American Philosophical Association, offers a unique opportunity for researchers to engage with the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Edinburgh. Although there is no funding, fellows gain access to a vibrant research community and extensive library resources. This fellowship, lasting from two to six months, encourages interdisciplinary work on themes of independence and nation-making, aligning with the institute's 2026-2027 focus.

The Madison County Annual Grant supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits focused on enhancing the community fabric of Madison County, Virginia. Grant amounts range from $1,000 to $5,000 for projects addressing local challenges or creating opportunities. Eligible organizations must have at least three years of operation and primarily serve the area. The foundation encourages collaborative proposals and provides unrestricted funding for ongoing or emergent needs, prioritizing nonprofits with proven management and accomplishments.
