There are no application deadlines, making it accessible for various organizations. The Bernard and Audre Rapoport Foundation, established in 1987, has invested over $70 million in grants to enhance community life through education, arts, health, and social services. The Foundation focuses on innovative solutions to persistent challenges, supporting projects primarily in Waco, Texas, while also engaging in discretionary funding for broader initiatives. Its mission emphasizes building resilience and fostering civic participation, ensuring that programs enrich lives, particularly for underserved populations.

The Dedicated Grant Program by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation will allocate over $60,000 in 2025 to support four distinct Field of Interest Funds, each aimed at improving the lives of residents in Washtenaw County. Grants are available for 501(c)(3) nonprofits focusing on areas such as education, community enhancement, veteran services, and violence prevention. This initiative emphasizes a collaborative approach to address local needs and foster community well-being.

For over a century, Navigant Credit Union has been committed to making a meaningful difference in the community. In 2017, we established the Navigant Credit Union Charitable Foundation to further amplify our impact in five strategic areas:

• Education & Financial Literacy: Organizational and capital support for programs, supplies, building products, sports facilities and teams.
• Social Services: Financial support for programs and organizations for children, veterans, hunger and housing.

The Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation, established in 1957, supports various charitable causes primarily in Michigan and Ohio. The foundation emphasizes projects that positively impact communities and ensure long-term sustainability. With a commitment to preserving the environment and fostering cultural activities, it remains a key player in enhancing the quality of life for residents in its service areas.

The Community Foundation of Carroll County offers Strategic and General Grants aimed at fostering sustainable community improvements. Strategic Grants focus on key aspirations identified through community conversations, such as affordable housing and inclusive initiatives. General Grants support a variety of programs, including health services and education. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations benefiting Carroll County residents. The Foundation emphasizes quality applications and innovative projects that demonstrate community impact.

The Community Progress Makers Fund, an initiative by the Citi Foundation, aims to empower local organizations by providing $50 million in unrestricted funding. This program, established in 2015, will support 50 selected community organizations over three years with grants of $1 million each, alongside technical assistance and opportunities for collaboration. The fund prioritizes organizations with strong community ties and a proven impact in areas such as affordable housing, economic development, financial health, and workforce readiness.

The Regional Investment Initiative's Implementation Phase aims to support California's disadvantaged communities by funding economic development projects that align with regional Jobs First Strategies. With up to $125 million in available grants, the initiative focuses on creating good-paying jobs, fostering equitable economic growth, and investing in workforce development. This approach seeks to transition California to a clean energy economy while ensuring prosperity for all through targeted investments in job training, business development, and innovative practices.

The Horace A. Moses Charitable Trust, established in 1923, focuses on enhancing educational, health care, and human services for underserved populations in Massachusetts. The Trust supports diverse programs including academic enrichment for all ages, health initiatives, and community assistance. They prioritize requests that align closely with their mission, particularly in Springfield, MA. Grants are typically one year in duration, with multi-year support available occasionally. Organizations are encouraged to seek general operating support to strengthen their capacity.

The Crail-Johnson Foundation primarily supports nonprofit organizations that benefit children, youth, and families in the greater Los Angeles area. Grants focus on human services, education, and health, with priority given to communities in specific Los Angeles County Service Planning Areas. The Foundation does not fund religious activities, university education, or individual requests, and typically limits grants to one year, with no more than three consecutive years of support.

The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine offers the annual CFGM: Impact Grant to support non-profit organizations enhancing the quality of life in Muscatine County. With various funds available, including the County Endowment Re-Granting Program and others targeting specific needs like mental disabilities and homelessness, grants can reach up to $117,888.27. Applicants must be non-profits, schools, or government units serving the region. Each program has a $10,000 limit and requires final reports within 10 months.

Warren County Philanthropic Partnership was formed as a community foundation to distribute Iowa’s County Endowment Fund money and support charitable giving in Warren County, Iowa.

For more than a decade, the foundation has responsibly distributed charitable dollars through grants to community nonprofit organizations. Since our inception, we have awarded more than $1 million into the community for beneficial projects.  As we move into the future, our goal is to continue grantmaking, but also to assist citizens in their charitable giving plans, work closely with city leaders and other organizations for organizational collaboration, and improve the quality of life in Warren County.

WCPP is an Affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Des Moines and is governed by a Board of Directors under the direction of Warren County Economic Development Corporation, made up of passionate individuals invested in making decisions to improve Warren County.

Community Grant

For Community Grants, we are looking for applications which:

• Are for small to large projects which benefit a single community, smaller percentage of the citizenship or for the entire county.
• Address a community need in a community within Warren County or for the entire county.
• Successfully shows the need and how funds will cover equipment, capital and program items necessary to support the community need.

The Old York Garden Club Scholarship Program supports aspiring students in plant sciences, including botany, ecology, and horticulture. The scholarship, established in memory of Marion Prince Hosmer, awards $2,700 to a full-time Maine resident who has completed one year of study in a related field. This opportunity aims to foster the next generation of environmental stewards and gardening enthusiasts, ensuring their educational journey is supported financially.

The Park Foundation Grants for Animal Welfare focus on advancing the protection and conservation of wildlife, particularly through policy and advocacy efforts for threatened species. The foundation supports innovative, solution-oriented models that foster systemic change and compassion. Key areas include organizing for endangered wildlife, indigenous management practices, and supporting sanctuaries for great apes. Additionally, the foundation is committed to local efforts, including support for the Tompkins County SPCA, ensuring a compassionate society for all living beings.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection offers Environmental Education Grants to enhance environmental literacy among youth and adults. Funding supports diverse projects, including hands-on programs for students and community workshops. Priorities focus on climate change, water quality, and environmental justice, with mini grants up to $5,000 and general grants ranging from $5,001 to $65,000. Projects must engage participants from multiple counties and include members from Environmental Justice communities, fostering sustainable resource management.

Nicor Gas offers Pillar Grants for Community Enrichment, focusing on enhancing the vitality and livability of neighborhoods within its service area. Grants support nonprofit organizations engaged in cultural, community service, and stabilization efforts. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations that contribute to mental health, social services, and civic development. Funding is capped at $5,000, and applications are encouraged from those addressing significant community needs.

High Impact Grant

For High Impact Grants, we are looking for applications which:

• Are for larger investment projects that benefit multiple communities and a larger percentage of the citizenship of the entire county.
• Address a significant community issue or need, especially a need effecting the entire county.
• Demonstrates considerable impact on the county, such as a project that could increase the marketability of the county, has an effect on tourism or on economic development for the entire county.
• Presents an innovative or creative way to strengthen the county with vision toward future growth and development.
• Encourages cooperation and partnerships, and reduces duplication of services among organizations.

The Joseph S. Bruno Charitable Foundation Grant aims to foster a supportive community for families and children in Birmingham, emphasizing health, education, and collaboration. The foundation prioritizes programs that enhance access to healthcare and education for underserved populations, while also providing technical assistance and partnerships. By focusing on holistic community improvement and collaboration with various stakeholders, the foundation seeks to create a lasting impact through strategic grantmaking and support.

The NH Sea Grant is inviting proposals for research funding of up to $100K per year for projects addressing key focus areas such as sustainable fisheries, coastal ecosystems, and aquaculture. This funding cycle runs from February 1, 2024, to January 31, 2026. Proposals that integrate innovative research with outreach and education are encouraged, particularly those related to aquaculture, leveraging matching funds from NOAA's National Sea Grant College Program.

The Miami-Dade County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program aims to fund vital community projects addressing high-priority needs identified in the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan. This initiative supports local organizations and municipalities, focusing on areas vulnerable to sea level rise, while benefiting low- and moderate-income residents. With a significant allocation from HUD, the program plays a crucial role in enhancing community development and resilience across Miami-Dade County.

The Australia & Pacific Science Foundation (APSF) offers competitive project grants of up to A$15,000 per year for a maximum of three years, aimed at supporting high-quality research in biological and biophysical sciences within Australia and the Southwest Pacific. The foundation prioritizes projects that align with its guidelines, fostering collaboration and capacity building while complementing other funding sources. Eligible projects must demonstrate clear objectives and impactful outcomes, ensuring sustainable benefits for the region's natural environment and biodiversity.

The Campbell Endowment offers various fall grant opportunities aimed at supporting programs that enhance self-sufficiency in Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, and Leelanau counties. Established in 1996, this fund focuses on key areas including food, health care, housing, and childcare. Eligible applicants include 501(c)3 nonprofits, educational institutions, and governmental entities. Preference is given to initiatives that create a transformative impact on community needs.
