Scholarships

The DeKalb County Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture is proud to offer numerous scholarships for high school seniors and college students. Preference will be given to applicants of Farm Bureau members or their children with certain eligibility requirements.

College Students Scholarships 

The DeKalb County Farm Bureau Foundation endeavors to recognize students for their academic, school and community performance while in college. The recognition is in the form of a scholarship to the student’s school of choice. The scholarship award will be sent directly to the recipient’s school to be applied toward college costs. 

George W. “Bill” and Ann Marie Stanley Scholarship

To honor Bill and Ann Marie Stanley, family members created this scholarship in their memory. This scholarship is for sophomores, juniors and seniors in college majoring in any field of study. One, $2,000 scholarship will be awarded annually.

The Tree Campus Higher Education Program, led by the National Arbor Day Foundation, encourages colleges to foster green spaces and community forests. By meeting five essential standards, campuses can achieve national recognition, enhancing their environmental impact and providing mental health benefits for students. Participation promotes sustainability, energy efficiency, and student involvement in environmental stewardship. This initiative not only beautifies campuses but also builds pride among students and the wider community, making it a valuable program for educational institutions.

High School Senior Scholarship

Senior Scholarship

The Senior Scholarship recognizes students for their academic performance, school activities, leadership, and community service. The $1,200 scholarship is available to high school seniors pursuing college degrees in any field of interest. Up to ten scholarships will be awarded.

Frazier Family Foundation

Lynn Frazier, together with his two sons, Garrett and Derrick, created The Frazier Family Foundation in 2018 with the mission to provide resources, education, and opportunities to foster on-ramps of excellence for future generations of innovators and creators.

Eligible recipients can receive a scholarship up to $10,000 for tuition, books, registration, transportation, meal plan supplement, lab fees, and supplies.

Combating climate change is fundamental to maintaining California’s future. The agency’s research, programs and policies remain crucial today as the state plans for 100% clean energy and carbon neutrality by mid-century. CEC is helping create the energy system of California’s future through activities such as Planning and Policy Development, Renewable Energy Growth; Energy Efficiency; Energy Innovation; Cleaner Transportation; and Responsible Electricity Infrastructure.

California’s National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program – Solicitation 3

Purpose of Solicitation

This is a competitive grant solicitation. The California Energy Commission (CEC) announces the availability of up to $79,000,000 in grant funds for projects that will strategically deploy electric vehicle (EV) charging stations with publicly accessible, high-powered, direct current fast chargers (DCFCs) to support lightduty EV travel along major corridors as required under the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) formula program.

Arden & Dorothy Baie Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of Arden and Dorothy Baie. The Baie Scholarship is available to college sophomores, juniors and seniors pursuing any field of study. One, $2,400 will be awarded to a deserving student.

The Women’s Fund of Essex County provides grants to non-profit organizations that support at-risk women and girls in Essex County, focusing on gender-specific services. For 2023, it offers eleven 3-year grants of $24,000 and three 1-year grants of $6,000 to address systemic inequalities. Priority areas include academic achievement, economic self-sufficiency, health, and leadership development. Since 2003, over $3 million has been awarded to enhance programs that empower women and girls in the community.

The Tuscola County Community Foundation Scholarship provides financial assistance to students pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded based on donor-specific criteria, including financial need, academic performance, and personal goals. Applications can be obtained from the guidance offices of high schools in the Tuscola Intermediate School District.
