Human Services Fund in honor of Bob Drewel

The Human Services Endowment Fund, established in 2003, honors the legacy and unwavering commitment of Bob Drewel to advancing human service causes throughout Snohomish County. Managed by the Community Foundation of Snohomish County, this fund provides long-term support for organizations working to meet the critical human service needs of our community.

This is a two-year grant with the first installment received upon approval of the grant and the second received after submission of a report following the first year of the grant.

Centralized Credentialing Verification Pilot Project Request for Proposals

HEALTHWORKS, KHA Foundation Inc. (Healthworks) an established 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, is seeking proposals to develop a statewide Centralized Credentialing Verification Pilot Program (CCV) operating under a hosted model. The CCV will centralize credentialing intake and verification of healthcare providers while preserving payer credentialing authority and hospital privileging decisions. 

The CCV Pilot Project is intended to improve access to care, reduce administrative burden, accelerate provider onboarding, and create a sustainable statewide framework for centralized credentialing and primary source verification services for healthcare practitioners practicing in Kansas.

Objectives:

• Establish the governance, operational framework, and stakeholder engagement necessary to support a statewide centralized credentialing model.
• Conduct a Request for Proposal and identify and procure a Primary Source Verification (PSV) vendor and supporting technology infrastructure.
• Design and implement standardized credentialing workflows and policies.
• Reduce credentialing timeframes and administrative duplication.
• Improve provider onboarding and access to care, particularly in rural Kansas.
• Develop a scalable and sustainable statewide credentialing infrastructure.

Rural Health Transformation Program: Interfacility Transport Project RFP

Through the Interfacility Transport project (IFTp), the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) seeks transformative ideas to decrease transport delays and improve patient outcomes, patient satisfaction, and provider satisfaction. Funds must be used for the development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of IFTp program activities in accordance with Kansas RHTP and project requirements. Funding cannot be used to replace currently reimbursable services but may be used to supplement existing services or to create new approaches.

Goal:

Enable eligible organizations to participate in the Interfacility Transport grant project to improve health outcomes and transportation times among rural Kansas facilities by supplementing existing resources or creating dedicated rural-focused interfacility transport teams.

Community Health Workers Grants: Strengthening the Rural Health Workforce in Wisconsin

Funding opportunity summary

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) seeks to strengthen the Wisconsin rural health workforce by developing and expanding high-quality and impactful community health worker (CHW) programs in clinical and community settings. There are three main components to this funding opportunity:

Priority is given to initiatives in economic development, cultural activities, outdoor recreation, and health services. The grant fosters community collaboration and addresses local needs, ensuring that resources effectively reach residents and improve community engagement.

The Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis Fund, established by the HealthWell Foundation, aims to alleviate financial burdens for underinsured patients facing chronic illnesses. The fund assists with prescription drug copays and insurance premiums, offering up to $4,000 in financial aid. Established to ensure no patient lacks necessary treatment due to costs, the foundation has awarded over $1.2 billion since 2004, supporting more than 1.1 million patients.

The Systemic Sclerosis with Interstitial Lung Disease Fund, managed by the HealthWell Foundation, aims to reduce financial barriers for underinsured patients suffering from systemic sclerosis. This rare autoimmune disease leads to excessive collagen production, causing serious health issues. The fund assists with prescription copays and insurance premiums to ensure patients receive necessary treatments. Nuvance Health is committed to enhancing community well-being through strategic sponsorships. By partnering with nonprofit organizations, Nuvance Health promotes initiatives that align with its mission of providing exceptional healthcare. Eligible organizations must be not-for-profit, located near Nuvance Health facilities, and support the health system's goals. However, Nuvance Health does not sponsor individuals, political events, or groups lacking direct community benefit.
