Charitable Contributions

Costco Wholesale’s primary charitable efforts specifically focus on programs supporting children, education, and health and human services in the communities where we do business. Throughout the year we receive a large number of requests from nonprofit organizations striving to make a positive impact, and we are thankful to be able to provide support to a variety of organizations and causes. While we would like to respond favorably to all requests, understandably, the needs are far greater than our allocated resources and we are unable to accommodate them all.

Warehouse donations are handled at the warehouse level - please consult your local warehouse for up-to-date information regarding their donations contacts and review process.

Grant Applications

If the request is under consideration, you may be contacted by staff for any additional information needed. Applications are reviewed within 4-6 weeks, and decisions are made based on several factors, including: type of program; identified community need not otherwise available; indication that evidenced based data will establish measurable results of intended outcomes; community collaboration; broad base of financial support; project budget and operating expenses.

Mission

The DanPaul Foundation will use its resources to help train teachers and parents in early childhood development, protect children from abuse and neglect, stimulate children's personal social responsibilities, and offer them opportunities for enrichment and growth.

The Foundation will also encourage children to be concerned and informed about the environment and the underprivileged, particularly with regard to clean air and water, and adequate housing and nutrition for all.

Beliefs

The DanPaul Foundation believes that children should have ample opportunities for enrichment in their lives, and thus strives to provide many different ways to enrich and expand children's minds through direct programs and monetary support to organizations doing similar work.

We have provided or currently provide grants related to the following program areas:

• Workshops, Conferences, + Seminars: We strive to offer educational workshops, conferences, and seminars for parents and teachers on topics related to early childhood development.
• Student Scholarships: We aim to help students attending post-secondary education institutions by providing need-based and academic scholarships.
• Scientific Endeavors: We desire to advance scientific endeavors which seek to improve the quality of life for everyone in the world.
• Clean Air + Water: We hope to pass on knowledge and practical life skills to youth regarding their personal responsibility to the environment, teaching them about issues surrounding clean air and water.
• Child Advocacy: We believe in protecting children from abuse and neglect and particularly love to support programs that provide education and assistance to children as well as organizations advocating or caring for vulnerable children.
• Homelessness: We want to encourage young people to take a personal interest in seeing that adequate housing and proper nutrition, especially for the underprivileged and homeless, are available.
• Poverty + Neglect: We seek to help those in poverty as well as educate youth about their responsibility to consider the underprivileged and take care of those most in need of life's basic essentials like adequate housing and proper nutrition.
• Refugee Enrichment: We wish to help refugee youth by supporting programs that provide them enrichment and help them transition to life in a new country.

The DanPaul Foundation provides grants to 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organizations as defined by the IRS. The Foundation is interested in providing funding to programs that directly serve the health, education, development, and welfare of the world's youth.

Grants range from a few hundred dollars up to $15,000 per calendar year.

Global Impact Cash Grants

Identifying and incubating innovative early-stage solutions. We identify, incubate, and develop innovative early-stage solutions with the highest potential for impact. Global Impact Cash Grants go to nonprofit organizations (NPOs) and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that address a significant social problem. We're looking for programs that fit within our investment sectors, focus on the underserved, and use technology to improve the reach and efficiency of services.

PNC Foundation

Strengthening and enriching the lives of our neighbors in communities where we live and work.

Vision & Mission

For decades, we have provided resources to seed ideas, foster development initiatives and encourage leadership in nonprofit organizations where imagination and determination are at work enhancing people's lives everyday.

The PNC Foundation's priority is to form partnerships with community-based nonprofit organizations in order to enhance educational opportunities, with an emphasis on early childhood education, and to promote the growth of communities through economic development initiatives.

Foundation Grant

The PNC Foundation supports a variety of nonprofit organizations with a special emphasis on those that work to achieve sustainability and touch a diverse population, in particular, those that support early childhood education and/or economic development.

Education

The PNC Foundation supports educational programs for children and youth, particularly early childhood education initiatives that meet the criteria established through PNC Grow Up Great. Specifically, PNC Grow Up Great grants must:

• Support early education initiatives that benefit children from birth to age five; and
• Serve a majority of children (>50%) from low- to moderate-income families; and
• Adhere to all other standard PNC Foundation guidelines, as outlined on the PNC Foundation website, applicant eligibility quiz, as well as the Foundation policies and procedures; and
• Include one or a combination of the following:
  • direct services/programs for children in their classroom or community;
  • professional development/workforce development for early childhood educators;
  • family and/or community engagement in children’s early learning
• Additional considerations:
  • The grant focus should include math, science, reading, vocabulary development, the arts, financial education, or social/emotional development.
  • The grant recipient, or collaborative partner, should have early childhood education as an area of focus. If the organization’s focus is beyond birth to age five, the specific grant must be earmarked for birth to age five.
  • Incorporate opportunities for PNC volunteers in classroom or non-classroom-based activities.

Economic Development

Economic development organizations, including those which enhance the quality of life through neighborhood revitalization, cultural enrichment and human services are given support. Priority is given to community development initiatives that strategically promote the growth of low-and moderate-income communities and/or provide services to these communities.

• Affordable Housing
  • The PNC Foundation understands the critical need for affordable housing for low-and moderate-income individuals.
  • We are committed to providing support to nonprofit organizations that:
    • give counseling and services to help these individuals maintain their housing stock;
    • offer transitional housing units and programs; and/or
    • offer credit counseling assistance to individuals, helping them to prepare for homeownership.
• Community Development
  • Because small businesses are often critical components of community growth and help foster business development, the PNC Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations that
    • offer technical assistance to, or loan programs for, small businesses located in low-and moderate-income areas or
    • support small businesses that employ low-and moderate-income individuals.
• Community Services
  • Support is given to social services organizations that benefit the health, education, quality of life or provide essential services for low-and moderate-income individuals and families.
  • The PNC Foundation supports job training programs and organizations that provide essential services for their families.
• Arts & Culture
  • Support is given for cultural enrichment programs benefitting the community.

The Sidney Stern Memorial Trust is devoted solely to the funding of charitable, scientific, medical and educational organizations.

Grants are made at the Foundation’s discretion based on our current funding strategies focused on housing, jobs and hunger.

About

The Preservation Leadership Forum of the National Trust for Historic Preservation is a network of preservation leaders — professionals, students, volunteers, activists, experts — who share the latest ideas, information, and advice, and have access to in-depth preservation resources and training.

Southwest Intervention Fund

Grants from the National Trust’s Southwest Intervention Fund are intended to further preservation efforts of the traditional cultures of the Southwest region, exclusively in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, West Texas (West Texas is defined as the area west of US Route 281 from the Oklahoma border to San Antonio proper and north of US Route 90 from San Antonio proper to Del Rio) and Utah. The Fund provides support for preservation planning efforts and enables prompt responses to emergency threats or opportunities in the eligible states. Local partners, nonprofit organizations and government agencies that have strategic opportunities to save sites or help jumpstart preservation projects are eligible for the fund’s small, catalytic grants. Grants generally range from $2,500 to $10,000.

The Fund can support assistance for a single prehistoric or historic place or actions affecting an entire state or part of a state, or several states, so long as all of the states are among the five designated states. Actions aimed at direct intervention to save historic and cultural sites and at capacity building are eligible.

The decision to pursue project funding through the Southwest Intervention Fund must be made in consultation with the National Trust grants office. Please contact us if you would like to discuss your project.  

Spring Cycle

During this cycle, we welcome proposals from organizations serving Santa Fe, Mora, Rio Arriba, and San Miguel counties that are engaged in direct service, policy advocacy, and/or collaborative efforts to improve outcomes in the following fields of interest:

Civic & Economic Opportunities

: Community members are aware of, engaged, and involved in issues that affect them.

We will support nonprofit organizations located in our funding region of Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Santa Fe counties that work to improve the following:

• Workforce development/job creation
• Open government
• Community engagement
• Social and economic justice
• Support of hourly workers

Through direct service, policy advocacy and/or collaboration efforts, priority strategies will address:

• Improving access to employment opportunities and economic advancement by low-income and other disadvantaged community members
• Providing career counseling, job training, and other programs to low wage earners to advance their skills
• Financial literacy training
• Increasing community involvement in activities that will influence public policy to strengthen communities
• Support public policy, civic engagement, community organizing or public information to improve and strengthen local economy

Health & Human Services

All people are healthy and safe.

We will support nonprofit organizations located in our funding region of Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Santa Fe counties that work to improve the following:

• Access to affordable housing
• Food security
• Safety
• Access to health care
• Healthy neighborhood living conditions

Through direct service, policy advocacy and/or collaboration efforts, priority strategies will address:

• Affordable housing and shelter for homeless and at-risk populations
• Access to affordable and high quality food, including food banks, pantries, and community centers that distribute food and promote healthy eating and work to address “food deserts”
• Efforts to address safety for vulnerable populations, including domestic violence and child abuse prevention, bullying prevention in schools, safety issues specific to immigrant populations, low wage workers and communities of color
• Access to health services, including programs providing un- and under-insured populations with culturally appropriate and equitable access to quality health and wellness services such behavioral health (including addiction services), senior services, and groups working on cultural and generational trauma. Priority will be given to efforts applying a social determinants of health lens to the work
• Building healthy communities including built environment and infrastructure, environmental quality (toxins and air/water quality),affordable and reliable transportation, parks and recreation
• Systems change, including public policy, civic engagement, community organizing or public information to improve health and wellbeing of local residents.

Empower Black Futures Community Fund

:  Black life, arts, and culture will be uplifted through grant making to nonprofits in the state of New Mexico.

We will support organizations that work on:

• Promoting community development through capacity building, strategic planning, professional development, and collaborative exploration.
• Fostering Black artistic expression and preserving cultural heritage through the presentation of diverse and emerging artists, the documentation and archiving of Black history, and the promoting of cultural exchange and community dialogue.
• Building financial literacy through the creation and distribution of financial resources, and providing real-world classes, counseling, and hands-on experiences to targeted businesses and families.

Grant Sizes

We offer $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, or $20,000 general operating support depending on your annual budget:

• Organizations with an annual budget up to $50,000 may apply for a $5,000 grant;
• Organizations with an annual budget between $50,001 - $150,000 may apply for a $10,000 grant;
• Organizations with an annual budget between $150,001 - $500,000 may apply for a $15,000 grant; and
• Organizations with an annual budget of $500,001 or more may apply for a $20,000 grant.

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation seeks letters of intent (LOI) from eligible organizations to further the Health Foundation’s goals under the Think.Change initiative to reduce stigma and negative bias associated with mental health and substance use conditions. The LOI must include one of the following interest areas:

• Implementation of evidence-based trainings to reduce mental health and substance use related stigma and bias among people (i.e., teachers, landlords, service industry workers) who have frequent contact with individuals who have a mental health condition and are less likely to receive on the job training.
• Implementation of evidence-based education programs for individuals and families with lived experience. Programs may address emotional well-being, mental illness and substance use conditions, symptoms, management, and treatment options.
• Implementation of evidence-based navigator training for individuals willing to serve as peer support, system navigators, or volunteer presenters, including people with lived experience.

What We Will Fund

Health Foundation’s Role in Reducing Stigma and Negative Bias Associated with Mental Health and Substance Use Conditions

Reducing stigma and negative bias is crucial to mental health and emotional well-being. Public stereotypes and self-stigma limit individuals’ opportunities for good jobs, safe housing, adequate health care, and social relationships.

The burden of mental illness is among the highest of all diseases, and mental disorders are among the most common causes of disability. People with untreated mental health conditions, including children and adolescents, are at high risk for many unhealthy and unsafe behaviors, including alcohol or drug use, violent or self-destructive behavior, and suicide.

Behavioral Health Consortia Informed Programs - Letters of Intent (LOI)

The Paso del Norte Health Foundation seeks letters of intent (LOI) from eligible organizations to further the Health Foundation’s goals under the Behavioral Health Consortia area.

Specifically, the Health Foundation seeks LOIs for programs that address gaps in mental health and substance use systems, with an emphasis on enhancing coordination among regional behavioral health consortia stakeholders as informed by data. The Health Foundation will not consider proposed programs already supported by other resources including government funding or health coverage reimbursement.

The Health Foundation uses the LOI process to welcome various proposals from diverse applicants. After review, the Health Foundation will invite selected applicants to submit a full proposal.

Behavioral Health System Defined

For this LOI process, the Health Foundation defines a behavioral health system as inclusive of treatment, navigation, support, and health promotion services for mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), addiction and related substance use, and other associated disorders

What We Will Fund

Health Foundation Role in Behavioral Health System Improvement

The Health Foundation does not fund illness treatment services. The Health Foundation works closely with the Paso del Norte Center at Meadows Mental Health Policy Institute to cultivate collaboration as a neutral convener for regional community collaboratives and related work groups or task forces. Work to improve the Paso del Norte region’s mental health and substance use systems will strive to achieve an “Ideal Behavioral Health System.” An inclusive system includes criminal justice, law enforcement, veterans’ services, juvenile justice, child welfare, schools, homeless providers, and health systems, organized within available resources at the policy, program, procedure, and practice levels. The “Ideal Behavioral Health System.” is also customer-driven and focused on meeting or exceeding the service and support needs of individuals and families; recovery and resiliency-oriented; integrated, trauma-informed, culturally competent, and organized from a population health perspective; set up to meet the needs of individuals and families with complex, co-occurring conditions of all types. LOIs submitted to the Health Foundation will be in complement with priority goals and strategies identified by the following regional Consortia and related workgroups or task force efforts:

• El Paso County:
  • The El Paso Behavioral Health Consortium (Consortium) works to improve mental health and substance use systems in the greater El Paso and Hudspeth County area of the Paso del Norte region. The Health Foundation, the PdN Center at the Meadows Institute, and critical community leaders lead in maintaining an effective collaboration for the system of care.
• Southern New Mexico:
  •  In Dona Ana County, the Local Behavioral Health Collaborative – 3 (LC3), a consortium focused on mental health and substance use system improvements, is working with Doña Ana County leaders to address system gaps. In Otero County, the Otero County Community Health Council and the Local Behavioral Health Collaborative – 12 also work with community stakeholders to improve the Otero care system. Health Foundation and PdN Center at Meadows Institute staff participate in these groups and assist in cultivating collaboration for system improvement efforts.
• Ciudad Juarez:
  • In Ciudad Juarez, MX, in partnership with the Mexican arm of the United States/Mexico Border Health Commission, ROTMENAS (an acronym describing the charge of the group to improve the behavioral health system, inclusive of treatment and health promotion services for mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other related disorders including substance use disorders) convenes monthly and is building strength, structure, and collaboration among the 47 organization partners.

Multi-Year Grant

Priority Areas

Con Alma Health Foundation’s Multi-Year grants support long-term systemic change to address health inequities, encompassing all social determinants of health.

• Six Priority Areas:
  • Con Alma prioritizes efforts that will impact many individuals within a network, community, or communities – rather than focusing on 1:1 direct service to individuals.
    • Access – Con Alma supports proposals that focus on access to health and healthcare as well as improving the health status and quality of life for the uninsured and medically underserved in New Mexico.
    • Culturally Appropriate Services – Con Alma supports efforts that aim to reduce health disparities, particularly for rural and tribal communities, immigrant families, and people of color. We support traditional and community-based approaches to health and efforts that support the hardest to reach individuals and communities in New Mexico.
    • Evaluation/Research – Con Alma supports data analysis, policy and advocacy, and/or the creation of new knowledge.
    • Health Promotion – Con Alma supports efforts that define health broadly and emphasize education, prevention, and personal empowerment.
    • Policy – Con Alma supports consumer participation in health policy formation and advocacy efforts to improve the health and well-being of people who live in New Mexico.
    • Workforce Development – Con Alma supports the development of professionals who reflect the cultural and linguistic diversity of communities in New Mexico. This includes individuals who are participating in traditional as well as non-traditional training and educational opportunities.

Funding

Applicants may request $30,000, $40,000 or $50,000 for each year of support for up to 3 years. Grant will total up to $150,000 over a 3-year time period.

Con Alma anticipates funding up to $300,000 total in multi-year grants this year.

Community Ties Giving Program

As part of the Community Ties Giving Program, Local Grants help us achieve our mission by providing small and medium-sized grants within our priority cause areas to local organizations spread widely across Union Pacific's footprint.

Funding Priorities & Objectives

Throughout its existence, the success of Union Pacific's business has been inextricably linked to the economic and community wellbeing of cities and towns across the nation. We take pride in the role we have played in helping communities thrive and believe the impact we can have on local communities is greatest when it is authentic to our history and reflective of the diverse company we are today.

As such, we have carefully aligned our Local Grants cause areas to our company's unique heritage, strengths, and assets. Specifically, we prioritize funding for direct services and efforts that build the capacity of organizations focused on the following causes within our local operating communities. Within each focus area, we aim to support programs and organizations working to advance the diversity, equity and inclusion of underrepresented populations within the local context and issue areas addressed. Safety

In order for communities to thrive, all residents must feel safe. Just as the safety of our employees and community members is paramount to how we operate, Union Pacific is committed to helping communities prevent and prepare for incidents and emergencies, and helping residents get home safely at the end of each day. As such, we prioritize funding for projects and programs that seek to: 

• Encourage safe behaviors and prevent incidents through education and awareness, particularly projects which focus on rail, driver, bike, and pedestrian safety, and ensure outreach efforts reach underserved populations.
• Eliminate risks and improve safe and equitable access to community spaces through infrastructure improvements, such as signage, proper lighting, and public trail improvements.
• Prepare and equip residents and emergency responders* to effectively respond to incidents and emergencies if or when they occur.

For more than 160 years, Union Pacific has helped stimulate economic growth in cities and towns throughout the nation by training and providing employment to millions of workers. More than ever, we are committed to helping underrepresented residents in our communities achieve family-supporting careers like those offered by Union Pacific. As such, we prioritize funding for programs that seek to:

• Put youth on the right track by creating awareness of and pathways toward employment opportunities; building foundational skills, especially in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM); establishing necessary technical skills and life skills; and providing mentorship and positive role models for the future.
• Raise awareness of, educate and prepare young adults for middle skills jobs like those Union Pacific offers, for instance through community colleges, vocational and career training programs, workforce readiness initiatives, and programs that assist with job placement and/or on-the-job experience.
  • Programs that develop proficiency in areas relevant to Union Pacific operations such as welding, electrical work, machine operations, and civil and electrical engineering are given priority.
• "Up-skill" the existing workforce by providing training and resources that enable them to reach the next level of their career.
  • Programs that develop proficiency in areas of relevance to Union Pacific operations are given priority.
• Resolve barriers to employment such as transportation, childcare, acquiring necessary equipment for work, and second chance employment programs.

Community Vitality

Union Pacific Railroad is committed to establishing vibrant, healthy and inclusive communities for employees, customers and residents to work, visit and call home. Just as the railroad opened avenues for economic development and opportunity more than 160 years ago, we maintain this tradition by cultivating unique cultural and recreational experiences and equipping community members with opportunities to live healthy, vital lives. As such, we prioritize funding for projects and programs that seek to:

• Create, sustain or expand artistic and cultural experiences offered to a broad and diverse audience (e.g., museums, theaters, zoos, cultural and local heritage, visual and performing arts, etc.)
• Provide recreational opportunities that foster wellbeing, enrichment and/or an appreciation for our natural environment (e.g., parks, libraries, senior centers, recreation centers, learning centers, etc.).
• Revive neighborhoods and main street areas, especially in historically underinvested neighborhoods, to improve livability, promote commerce and attract more residents, businesses and visitors to town.
• Ensure residents’ basic needs are met and barriers are overcome (e.g., safe shelter and homelessness prevention, hunger relief, mental health and community health needs, etc.).

Environmental Sustainability

The future of our business, communities and planet depends on bold, collective action to reduce and slow the impacts of climate change while building a more sustainable economy for the next generation. Union Pacific is taking deliberate steps to reduce our environmental impact and helping our partners improve their own. Extending this commitment to our community investments, we seek to support leading environmental nonprofits and community-based organizations to advance the health of our environment. As such, we prioritize funding for projects and programs that seek to:

• Preserve and restore nature, including programs focused on natural habitats, ecosystems, and biodiversity.
• Protect and enhance water, soil and air quality through innovative and proactive solutions such as water conservation, carbon sequestration and emission reduction programs.
• Reduce waste through initiatives focused on promoting recycling and circularity throughout the community, including recycling and composting programs and other efforts that reduce waste.
• Develop environmental stewards through youth programs focused on fostering environmental appreciation, responsibility, and leadership.
• Advance a sustainable economy by helping communities accelerate their transition to environmental jobs and renewable energy, as well as helping nonprofits and small businesses build their own capacity to operate more sustainably.
• Promote environmental justice through initiatives that ensure access to clean air, water, and land and protect underserved populations from disproportionate and adverse environmental effects.

The Lawrence Foundation is a private family foundation focused on making grants to support environmental, human services and other causes.

The Lawrence Foundation was established in mid-2000. We make both program and operating grants and do not have any geographical restrictions on our grants. Nonprofit organizations that qualify for public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or other similar organizations are eligible for grants from The Lawrence Foundation.  

Grant Amount and Types

Grants typically range between $5,000 - $10,000. In some limited cases we may make larger grants, but that is typically after we have gotten to know your organization over a period of time. We also generally don’t make multi-year grants, although we may fund the same organization on a year by year basis over a period of years.

General operating or program/project grant requests within our areas of interests are accepted. In general, regardless of whether a grant request is for general operating or program/project expenses, all of our grants will be issued as unrestricted grants.

Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation Grant

The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills-training and other programs for youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and programs.

Summary

Con Alma Health Foundation (CAHF) provides grants to eligible nonprofits working to improve health and advance health equity for people who live in New Mexico. Our aim is to ensure that New Mexico’s diverse communities have fair opportunities to lead healthy lives.

Six Priority Areas

Con Alma prioritizes efforts that will impact many individuals within a network, community, or communities – rather than focusing on 1:1 direct services to individuals.

Access

CAHF supports proposals that focus on access to health and healthcare as well as improving the health status and quality of life for the uninsured and medically underserved in New Mexico.

Culturally Appropriate Services

CAHF supports efforts that aim to reduce health disparities, particularly for rural and tribal communities, immigrant families, and people of color. We support traditional and community-based approaches to health and efforts that support the hardest to reach individuals and communities in New Mexico.

Evaluation/Research

CAHF supports new solutions to old problems and efforts that have the courage to risk failure. This may include data analysis, support of policy and advocacy, and/or the creation of new knowledge.

Health Promotion

CAHF supports efforts that define health broadly and emphasize education, prevention, and personal empowerment.

Policy

CAHF supports consumer participation in health policy formation and advocacy efforts to improve the health and well-being of people who live in New Mexico.

Workforce Development

CAHF supports the development of professionals who reflect the cultural and linguistic diversity of communities in New Mexico. This includes individuals who are participating in traditional as well as non-traditional training and educational opportunities.

PNM | TNMP Foundation

Our Mission

The employee-led PNM | TNMP Foundation (formerly the PNM Resources Foundation) partners with mission-aligned nonprofits across New Mexico and Texas through trust-based philanthropy. We provide targeted and flexible grants that strengthen organizations holistically, rather than funding isolated programs. Our support enables these vital community partners to build resilient communities where people overcome challenges, advance through education, and truly thrive.

Non-traditional Education Pathway Grant

These unrestricted grants are designed to serve New Mexicans who are often underserved - such as youth, veterans, seniors, individuals who are unhoused, formerly incarcerated, or developmentally disabled. Funding is available for programs focused on STEAM education, housing, food access, and other foundational learning supports. Special consideration is given to programs that are collaborative, inclusive, and show a clear plan for sustainability and measurable impact.

Santa Fe Baby Fund

Grants will support nonprofits located in Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Santa Fe counties that support infants and toddlers, their caretakers, and the early childhood workforce. Organizations led by Black, Indigenous, immigrant, and people of color are encouraged to apply.

Funding priorities are:

• Increasing access to high quality, affordable infant and toddler care;
• Supporting the early childhood workforce;
• Improving access to reproductive health services for adolescents and young adults;
• Supporting young parents ages 24 and under, and their infants and toddlers; and
• Supporting grandparents or other non-parent kin raising infants and toddlers.

Advocacy and movement-building work related to the above-listed priorities will also be considered. 

Funding for community nonprofits

The Santa Fe Community Foundation provides several opportunities for eligible nonprofits—both statewide and in our funding region (Santa Fe, Mora, Rio Arriba, and San Miguel counties)—to apply for competitive grants.

During this cycle, we welcome proposals from organizations serving Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, and Santa Fe counties that are engaged in direct service, policy advocacy, and/or collaborative efforts to improve outcomes in the following fields of:

Grant Sizes

We offer $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, or $20,000 general operating support depending on your annual budget:

• Organizations with an annual budget up to $50,000 may apply for a $5,000 grant;
• Organizations with an annual budget between $50,001 - $150,000 may apply for a $10,000 grant;
• Organizations with an annual budget between $150,001 - $500,000 may apply for a $15,000 grant; and
• Organizations with an annual budget of $500,001 or more may apply for a $20,000 grant.

Gupta Family Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, USA. Our mission is to support organizations that provide focused intervention in the lives of people who have been disadvantaged in some way to help them become self-reliant. We take a very broad view of “disadvantage” to include anything that holds a person back from realizing their potential, such as poverty, physical or mental disability, social alienation, etc. The foundation also supports relief agencies that serve people affected by emergencies such as natural disasters.

The foundation evaluates and awards annual and multi-year grants ranging from $5,000 to over $250,000 (USD). Our focus is on funding smaller organizations all around the world that are led by individuals with a deep personal commitment to their missions. 

Our selection criteria include:

• Mission alignment
• The organization is run by the founder or, if not, by a successor who embodies the original inspiration, passion and commitment of the founder.
• At least 90% of grant monies reaches the intended beneficiaries.
• The organization is non-sectarian, i.e.,
  • It does not, directly or indirectly, support or condone the proselytization of any religion,
  • It is not supported by or affiliated to a religious organization.
