HAF+WRCF grant funding supports charitable programs and projects in our region (Humboldt, Del Norte, and Trinity counties in California, and Curry County, Oregon).

Aging to Thrive: Empowering Aging Through Community '26-27

This grant opportunity supports programs that uplift and enhance the independence and quality of life for seniors in Humboldt and Del Norte Counties. Examples include social programs, food and nutrition programs, health related activities and needs, transportation and access support. 

Grants of $2,000-5,000 available.

Grants are supported by the Senior Citizens Foundation Fund and the Andrew and Bertha Pon Memorial Fund. Recipients will be notified in November 2026.

The Destination Iowa Fund Grant Program, funded with $6.5 million, aims to enhance tourism in Iowa by supporting cities, counties, and non-profits in developing vertical infrastructure for Primary Destinations. Eligible projects can receive grants covering up to 25% of costs, with minimum project thresholds of $5 million for urban and $1.5 million for rural areas. This initiative seeks to boost community quality of life and drive economic development, particularly in rural regions.

The NICF: Impact Grants support projects over $25,000, requiring a Letter of Intent for application. While no deadline exists, it prioritizes initiatives in education, health, human services, arts, culture, environment, community development, recreation, and youth development in Miami County. The foundation favors projects that meet unmet community needs, stimulate additional funding, and promote cooperation. However, it deprioritizes ongoing budget maintenance, religious activities, and projects solely benefitting the donor.

TREC Community Investors

TREC Community Investors is a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

We’ve partnered with more than 750 nonprofit and community organizations that are also dedicated to transforming Dallas.

TREC Community Investors Grant

Applications are only being accepted for projects that invest in the Dallas Catalyst Project: Mill City neighborhood.

Projects will address public safety, outdating infrastructure, affordable housing, and a lack of safe public gathering spaces and youth mentoring opportunities.

Preferred Criteria

• Real estate based and comprised of modest scope building renovation
• Leverages funds by utilizing the professional & hands-on volunteer skills of TREC members
• Project must be designed, planned and executed during the year they are accepted
• Impacts under-served neighborhoods, demonstrating feasibility and measurable long-term viability
• Involves people expected to benefit from the project in the development and implementation

The Main Street Matters program aims to enhance downtown areas and neighborhoods through targeted investment in revitalization and safety improvements. Eligible entities, including local governments and nonprofits, can access grants for business enhancement initiatives, which may include microgrants and forgivable loans. These funds support capital investments and operational costs for businesses, contributing to vibrant community development. The initiative emphasizes strategic planning and documented demand for funding, ensuring effective use of resources.

Flexible Funding provides unrestricted financial support to organizations, allowing them to focus on their mission. The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts prioritizes smaller, community-rooted organizations, especially in Springfield and Franklin County. Grants up to $30,000 are available, with a total of $3.4 million planned for distribution. Eligible organizations must have IRS 501(c)(3) status or fiscal sponsorship and an operating budget under $10 million, ensuring support for those who truly benefit the local community.

The Jaburg & Wilk Foundation Grant supports local non-profit organizations in Arizona that focus on the arts, education, children, and at-risk programs. The foundation prioritizes financially sound organizations with strong community support and effective program delivery. By fostering private giving and enhancing service providers, the foundation aims to address public needs in Maricopa and Pinal counties. Grants are awarded following approval by the Grant Committee, ensuring thorough vetting of applications.

Green School Works Grants

The Challenge: Decarbonize Public Schools

Massachusetts’ approximately 1,800 public school buildings are responsible for about 880,000 metric tons of carbon every year. Electrifying and decarbonizing these buildings represents a significant opportunity for the state to reach its goal of net zero emissions by 2050. However, with the increased costs of construction and competing capital needs, districts need additional resources for the installation and upgrades of clean energy infrastructure.

About Green School Works Grants

Green School Works grants provide K-12 public schools with funding to implement projects that improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, or mitigate the impacts of climate change. Up to 15% of an award's total funds can be used for project “soft costs,” such as design or project management.

Up to $19 million will be available to schools for this round of funding. Awards may range from $50,000 up to $5 million for projects with a larger scope that opt for a recoverable grant of at least $2 million. See Section 8 (Budget & Award Limits) of the RFP for details on recoverable grants.

The United States Adult Cystic Fibrosis Association (USACFA) offers the Scholarship for the Arts, providing $5,000 to two students pursuing degrees in creative fields. Open to applicants from associate to doctoral levels, candidates must demonstrate a minimum GPA of 3.0 and submit proof of enrollment for the academic year. This scholarship honors Helen, a passionate artist and dedicated mother, whose life exemplified resilience and creativity, inspiring future generations in the arts.

The Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation offers General Operating Grants aimed at 501(c)(3) nonprofits that serve the west side of Salt Lake City. Grants of up to $10,000, with an average of $5,000, support initiatives in health, shelter, education, economic self-reliance, and cultural enrichment. Applications are reviewed monthly. Organizations must be registered as nonprofits and align with the Foundation's focus areas to be eligible for funding.

The CDV5 Foundation Grant supports charitable organizations, churches, and government entities that meet IRS 501(c)(3) requirements. This grant aims to nurture successful children, foster stronger families, and cultivate healthier communities. Through partnerships, the foundation provides resources to help individuals reach their full potential. Applicants may submit one request annually for operating, capital, or program support, while event sponsorships are also considered. The foundation encourages applicants to consider their budget and history with the foundation when requesting funding.

The LHGM Community Support Grant, provided by the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, focuses on enriching communities through support for 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Grants typically range from $15,000 to $25,000, with requests capped at $50,000. Key areas of focus include health, education, and economic self-reliance. Organizations must be registered as 501(c)(3) and applications are reviewed monthly, emphasizing the need for impact reporting.

The Curtis Gates Lloyd Research Fellowship, provided by the Lloyd Library and Museum, supports research in various fields, including botany, conservation, and history of science. This fellowship offers a stipend of $2,000 for local applicants and $3,000 for those from outside the region. To be eligible, applicants must hold at least a Bachelor’s degree and commit to conducting research at the library for a minimum of 20 hours per week. The fellowship duration ranges from one to three months.

The East Central Regional Arts Council (ECRAC) offers grants for local and regional arts projects. This funding supports organizations in creating, sponsoring, publishing, performing, and exhibiting art. Eligible projects include performances, exhibitions, local theatre productions, artist residencies, public art projects, and workshops. There is no limit to the number of grants an organization can receive each fiscal year, but only one application per grant deadline is allowed.

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, administered by the City of Naperville, Illinois, supports affordable housing, public services, and economic development for low- and moderate-income residents. With a focus on community needs, the program utilizes federal funding to address pressing local challenges. It promotes job creation and offers financial assistance to subrecipients. Annual meetings are held to align funding priorities, ensuring an effective response to community demands and enhancing quality of life for residents.

The LHGM Strategic Initiative Grant, offered by the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits with requests over $50,000. Established in 2007, the Foundation aims to enhance communities through initiatives in health, education, and economic self-reliance. Nonprofits must submit a one-page concept outline for consideration. Grants are not available for individuals, political organizations, or entities outside the U.S., ensuring focus on impactful local community services.

The LHGM Westside Community Grant, established by the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Foundation, supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving the west side of Salt Lake City. With grants ranging from $10,000 to $25,000, this program aims to enhance community services in health, education, food security, and cultural enrichment. Organizations must be registered nonprofits with a focus on these areas, ensuring impactful contributions to local communities.

The Arts and Culture Program, initiated by the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF), aims to bolster arts and culture nonprofits in Washtenaw County through a focus on racial equity. This program supports community-driven projects that engage BIPOC groups, promote equity in arts education, and foster entrepreneurship in the arts. AAACF is dedicated to enhancing access to cultural resources for all residents, ensuring that the artistic identity of every community member is celebrated and supported.

The Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program aims to foster collaboration among community coalitions to combat youth substance use. Established by the Drug-Free Communities Act of 1997, it encourages partnerships among various stakeholders, including governmental and non-profit agencies. The program focuses on reducing substance use among youth and promoting protective factors within communities. This funding opportunity is available for those who have completed the initial funding cycle or experienced funding interruptions, supporting their ongoing efforts to create a healthier environment for youth.

The Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program, initiated by the Drug-Free Communities Act of 1997, aims to bolster community coalitions dedicated to preventing youth substance use. Funded by the US HHS's Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), this program focuses on collaboration among various stakeholders, including government and non-profit entities, to effectively reduce substance abuse among youth and promote protective factors within communities.

The Men & Boys' Fund Grant, established in 2016, aims to enhance the lives of men and boys in Connecticut's Bristol, Burlington, Plainville, Plymouth, Southington, and Wolcott areas. Grants support nonprofit organizations focused on education, health, leadership, and workforce readiness. Eligible applicants must serve males of any age and provide strong documentation of community impact. The Fund prioritizes self-sufficiency and requires follow-up reports from previous grantees to ensure continued support and accountability.

The Zanvyl and Isabelle Krieger Fund Grant aims to enhance individual and community potential in Baltimore City. Supporting 501(c)(3) organizations, the fund prioritizes housing, behavioral health, environmental justice, and families with young children. Grants typically range from $2,500 to $25,000 annually. Organizations can apply once a year, and the fund does not support endowments, indirect costs, or multi-year commitments, promoting direct program expenses to foster community resilience.

The Agribusiness Innovation Grant offers funding up to $30,000 to support innovative projects in the agribusiness sector. This initiative encourages transformative ideas that enhance value chains in agriculture, horticulture, and forestry. Applicants can pursue groundbreaking concepts without needing co-funding, aiming to accelerate innovation and foster collaboration. The program seeks to facilitate the development of ideas to attract additional investment and ensure the growth of New Zealand's agribusiness landscape.

The Curry Family Foundation Grant aims to support local non-profit organizations working to enhance the lives of endangered children and disadvantaged individuals. It offers funding for program development, operational expenses, equipment and building renovations, and matching funds. Eligibility is limited to 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organizations in the Kansas City metropolitan area, with specific ineligibilities including capital campaigns and discrimination based on race, creed, or other factors.

The William Talbott Hillman Foundation Grant supports innovative arts programming in Pittsburgh and NYC, focusing on young people and BIPOC communities. With a year-round application process, the Foundation prioritizes photography as a fine arts medium and civic engagement initiatives aimed at preventing gun violence. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt to apply. The Foundation also emphasizes safety nets for artists and art education in under-resourced communities.

The Virtual Professional Development Award aims to enhance professional knowledge and experience for individuals in Region 3 Network Member institutions. By funding attendance at seminars and conferences related to data science and health information access, this award supports the goals of the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM). It seeks to improve health information access for healthcare providers and consumers, particularly among underrepresented populations, fostering health equity and literacy.

The Institution for Savings Charitable Foundation Grant seeks to enhance community well-being through funding initiatives in various focus areas including economic empowerment, youth development, arts and culture, and health services. Established in 1997, the Foundation aims to support organizations within designated communities, promoting positive impacts on residents' lives. Application deadlines occur quarterly, and timely submission is crucial for consideration. This grant is exclusively available to IRS-designated 501(c)(3) charities.
