The FY 2027 Clean Water Fund (CWF) Projects and Practices Grants Request For Proposals (RFP) is now open, and includes two programs:

Projects and Practices, and

Projects and Practices Drinking Water. 

Grants Program

The Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) Clean Water Fund Competitive Grants Program supports activities that restore, protect, and enhance water quality.

This RFP includes:

• Projects and Practices
  • This grant makes an investment in on-the-ground projects and practices that will protect or restore water quality in lakes, rivers or streams, or will protect groundwater or drinking water.
  • Examples include:
    • stormwater practices,
    • agricultural conservation practices,
    • feedlot related practices,
    • lakeshore and stream bank stabilization,
    • stream restoration, and
    • SSTS upgrades.
• Drinking Water
  • This grant makes an investment in land treatment projects and practices that will protect or improve drinking water sources.
  • Surface water (streams, rivers, and lakes) and groundwater (aquifers) can both serve as sources of drinking water.

The SUEZ Foundation is calling for projects that enhance access to essential services such as water, sanitation, and hygiene for vulnerable populations in developing countries. Eligible projects should focus on rural and urban areas, include community involvement, and incorporate measurable objectives for impact assessment. Funding ranges from €50,000 to €100,000, covering up to 50% of the project budget. Key countries eligible for support include Angola, India, and South Africa.

The Ina Calkins Board Grant supports 501(c)(3) nonprofits in Kansas City, Missouri, providing approximately $200,000 annually. Founded in 1930, it aims to assist organizations that promote total abstinence from alcohol, care for the elderly, and support children's welfare. Grants are awarded to enhance social services, education, and health care for those in need. Eligible organizations must serve residents of Kansas City, ensuring that aid benefits the local community.

Washington Gas Charitable Giving has supported communities for over 170 years, focusing on education, environmental protection, and health initiatives. Their Bright Futures program emphasizes educational activities for youth, while Environmental Champions promote cleaner ecosystems. Healthy and Safe Communities target health organizations and energy assistance for low-income residents, ensuring well-being during extreme temperatures. Organizations must have 501(c)(3) status to apply for specific program funding in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia region.

The Proposition 13 – Water Recycling – Planning Grant offers ongoing funding to assist local agencies in planning water recycling projects. This initiative aims to enhance the use of treated municipal wastewater, thereby augmenting fresh water supplies across California. All community types, including disadvantaged and severely disadvantaged communities, are eligible for financial support. Eligible projects encompass various aspects of water recycling, such as treatment, storage, and groundwater recharge.

Canopy Credit Union is dedicated to enhancing community welfare through its Donation and Sponsorship Request program. Focused on areas such as food and housing insecurity, diversity, and financial education, the credit union aims to support initiatives that foster health, wellness, and job training. Organizations impacting Spokane, Stevens, and Pend Oreille counties are prioritized. Requests should be submitted via the designated form at least 60 days before funds are needed, with a response expected within 10 business days.

The Anne Arundel County Community Tree Planting Mini Grant Program, a collaboration between the Anne Arundel County Forestry Board, City of Annapolis, and Chesapeake Bay Trust, provides grants up to $5,000 for community tree planting and invasive species removal. This initiative aims to enhance tree canopy and promote environmental stewardship across neighborhoods and parks in Anne Arundel County. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until funding is exhausted, ensuring support for local projects that improve air quality and watershed health.

The Legacy Youth Alliance Grant supports youth-led projects and organizations in Wapello County, aiming to enhance education and health opportunities for local youth. The fund prioritizes innovative initiatives that demonstrate community impact and collaboration. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) non-profits or those with a fiscal sponsor. Notably, it excludes funding for individuals, for-profits, and projects lacking youth focus. The foundation seeks to empower youth through impactful programs.

The Albert G. and Olive H. Schlink Foundation, established in 1966, has significantly impacted Ohio's nonprofit sector by increasing its annual grant distribution from an initial $500 to over $1.4 million in 2023. The Foundation prioritizes organizations with ties to Erie and Huron Counties and emphasizes thoughtful evaluation of all grant applications. With a focus on community needs, it continues to honor the founders' legacy while adapting to the evolving demands of local nonprofits.

The AK Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) offers financial assistance and conservation planning to agricultural producers in Alaska. This program aims to implement conservation practices that enhance water quality, soil health, and wildlife habitats, while also benefiting agricultural operations. Eligible participants include socially disadvantaged and veteran farmers, who may receive higher payment rates. Applications are accepted until January 15, 2026, encouraging participation from historically underserved producers in implementing vital conservation efforts.

The Waste Management Charitable Contributions Program supports initiatives that enhance environmental stewardship, sustainability education, and community vitality. With a commitment to civic pride and economic development, the program prioritizes organizations that address local needs and promote sustainable practices. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations that focus on public purposes, while ineligible requests include funding for operating costs and individual fundraising events. This initiative fosters a collaborative approach to community betterment.

The Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation Grant focuses on enhancing the lives of low-income and disadvantaged communities in Greater Milwaukee. Starting January 1, 2024, the Foundation will support operational and programmatic grants rather than capital projects. It prioritizes initiatives in health, education, arts, and community development, emphasizing the needs of women, children, and the elderly. This shift aims to empower organizations that foster social change and improve quality of life for vulnerable populations.

The Ogden Codman Trust Grant provides crucial financial support to organizations serving residents of Lincoln, Massachusetts. It focuses on assisting individuals in need with food, shelter, medical assistance, and educational grants. The Trust encourages community engagement by requiring matching funds for grants, fostering a sense of collaboration and awareness of local programs. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) qualified and cannot be private foundations, ensuring that aid reaches those who truly need it.

The Tiger Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations in New York City, focusing on Education, Family Support, and Youth Workforce Justice. With no deadlines for Letters of Inquiry, the foundation seeks organizations with measurable outcomes, skilled leadership, and community engagement. Their Seed and Expansion Fund supports innovative early-stage organizations aiming to address unmet needs, ensuring effective services are accessible to low-income families and individuals across the city.

The Venice Yacht Club Charitable Foundation Grant supports projects that enhance the lives of vulnerable community members in and around Venice. Grant amounts typically range from $1,000 to $5,000, with a focus on areas such as youth initiatives, education, arts, and health. This foundation aims to mobilize community goodwill to address pressing needs and foster positive change, inviting new applicants to engage with their mission.

The SPC Cares Foundation

The SPC Cares Foundation was established in 2024 as a way for SPC Credit Union to strategically support four key development issues identified within our community: Hunger, Housing, Employment, & Education. The Foundation supports our local communities through monetary donations, in-kind donation drives, and volunteerism.

Community Impact Fund

Community Impact funds are available to support nonprofit organizations that are strengthening and improving communities where SPC Members live, work, or attend school. Preference is given to organizations that address our four funding areas (hunger, housing, employment, & education). Education-related projects or initiatives must promote finance, employment, workforce readiness, or leadership.

Applications for funding are reviewed quarterly by the SPC Cares Foundation Advisory Board.

The Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program, managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, assists private landowners in restoring and protecting vital habitats for fish and wildlife. Since its inception in 1987, the program has provided technical assistance and financial support to enhance conservation efforts across the United States. By collaborating with local stakeholders, the program establishes habitat goals and directs resources effectively to conserve important ecosystems, benefiting both wildlife and the American people.

United Way of Northeast Arkansas 

United Way seeks to improve lives across Northeast Arkansas by mobilizing the caring power of our community. From strengthening local resiliency to advancing health, youth opportunity, and financial security, United Way of Northeast Arkansas seeks to achieve a community where all can thrive. 

United Way offers an opportunity for donors to unite under one umbrella in order to create change. Its mission is accomplished through data collection and measurement, initiatives and collaborations, and the funding of local nonprofit programs. 

Community Impact Grant 

Community Impact Grants are available to organizations that serve or operate in Clay, Craighead, Cross, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence, Poinsett, Randolph, and Mississippi counties.

Our Focus and Priorities

Successful applicants will present programmatic needs and demonstrate how grant funding would strengthen the work of their agency within United Way's focus areas:

• Youth Opportunity - We create pathways for young people to reach their goals, from early childhood education to college and career success. Together, we are helping young people realize their full potential.

• Financial Security - We connect people to education, tools, and job training so they have financial freedom and peace of mind. Together, we can create a stronger financial future for every generation.

• Healthy Community - We improve access to nutritious food and quality health education and services, so people have the resources they need to lead healthy lives. Together, we can improve health and well-being for all.

• Community Resiliency - We help communities prepare for, prevent, and respond to challenges, from crisis support and disaster relief to environmental protection. Together, we can address urgent needs today for a better tomorrow. 

In addition, grant applicants must demonstrate how their work identifies and directly impacts one or both of our target populations:

The ReFED Catalytic Grant Fund, managed by Refed Inc., supports innovative solutions to minimize food waste and reduce methane emissions, a cost-effective strategy for climate action. This fund prioritizes initiatives that enhance food recycling and improve supply chain efficiency in the beef and dairy sectors. By focusing on proven methods, the grant aims to accelerate impactful changes in the food system, ultimately fostering sustainable practices and collaborative efforts to combat food waste.

The Indiana Community Recycling Grant Program, administered by the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), aims to enhance recycling and waste reduction initiatives across communities. With funding ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, this program supports projects focused on recycling education, organics management, and hazardous waste disposal. Funded through a solid waste management surcharge, it encourages environmentally sound practices while requiring a 25% cash match from applicants. Note that funding is not guaranteed.

The Youth Endowment Fund Grant, managed by the East Tennessee Foundation, supports innovative solutions to challenges faced by youth within a 25-county service area. Grants of up to $20,000 are available for projects focusing on early childhood education, health drivers, and the prevention of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Eligible organizations must demonstrate a commitment to serving youth and adhere to non-discrimination policies. This initiative aims to foster stronger, healthier communities through impactful youth programming.

The First Financial Foundation, established in 2017, aims to enhance local communities through targeted grants. With a focus on neighborhood development, workforce education, and cultural initiatives, the foundation supports organizations creating affordable housing, enhancing financial literacy, and promoting the arts. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving specific counties and must align with the foundation's mission. The foundation seeks to foster community growth and diversity while ensuring impactful contributions.

Purpose

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) # COMPADM26002 is to solicit applications that will enable the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (referred to as Agency) to select the most qualified applicant to provide technical assistance to Rural Iowa healthcare organizations and providers. This technical assistance will support providers with planning, partnership building, assessment and evaluation, and overall implementation of Hub and Spoke models of care in the areas of maternal and child health, mental/behavioral health, cardiovascular health, and/or chronic disease prevention and management.  

This technical assistance should allow Rural healthcare organizations to achieve success in future Health Hubs Projects of Iowa's Rural Health Transformation Grant. Activities in the Health Hubs Project will include the development of hub and spoke models for health care, including the development of rural provider strategic partnerships and agreements. It will also include developing and implementing arrangements for exchanging best practices, coordinating care across regions via telehealth and referral networks, expanding access to specialty services in a financially sustainable manner, streamlining or centralizing functions to create cost savings, improving the financial viability of rural providers, preserving independence of rural providers, keeping care local in rural communities when appropriate and possible, and developing models of sustainability for rural health care. The Contractor will support the Health Hubs on the items listed above, while also assisting with long-term sustainability planning, workforce development, and telehealth integration. This work implements a portion of the Hometown Connections initiative of the Iowa Healthy Hometowns Project, funded through the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Rural Health Transformation Program, opportunity #: CMS-RHT-26-001. 

The Grand Haven Offshore Challenge Scholarship, offered by the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation, supports students pursuing studies in natural resources, including fisheries and wildlife. This scholarship is available for applicants attending any public or private college or university. The fund was established to honor community contributions towards environmental preservation and is awarded based on academic merit and financial need. RFP PHTHOIT27001 for Pharmacy Services for TB, STI, and Immunization

Purpose

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) PHTHOIT27 is to solicit applications that will enable the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (referred to as Agency) to select the most qualified applicant to provide Direct Pharmacy Services for Tuberculosis (TB), Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI), and Immunization Programs.

The Schrafft Charitable Trust offers grants to nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts focused on youth development. Prioritizing those serving underserved populations aged 6-21, the Trust supports programs that enhance educational, artistic, and economic opportunities. New grantees must submit a Letter of Intent if they haven't received funding in the last three years. The Trust aims to foster paths to independence through community-driven initiatives, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in its funding decisions.
