The Colorado Plateau Foundation (CPF) provides capacity-building grants ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 to Native-led organizations on the Colorado Plateau. Their mission is to enhance the work of these organizations by addressing key issues such as water protection, sacred landscape preservation, language revitalization, and sustainable agriculture. Since its founding in 2012, CPF has allocated over $1.2 million to support more than 60 initiatives, fostering community resilience and cultural preservation.

Impact 100 Richmond aims to transform lives in the Richmond area by empowering women through philanthropy. With a focus on granting $100,000 to local nonprofits, this initiative targets projects in Arts & Culture, Education, Environment, Family, and Health & Wellness. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits with a budget of at least $250,000 and a minimum of 36 months of operation. Preference is given to projects benefitting women and children.

Grants of up to $10,000 are available at any time, separate from the annual grant cycle. The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation provides essential funding to nonprofit organizations that improve the lives of economically and socially disadvantaged individuals. It emphasizes direct services with low administrative costs, ensuring that funds have a meaningful impact. Organizations applying must demonstrate a commitment to serving at-risk youth and families, particularly in Montana and select areas where The Washington Companies operate.

The Young Woman's Home Association Grant supports nonprofit agencies that serve women and children in Wayne County, Michigan. Established in 1877, the grant aims to enhance education, meet basic needs, and promote cultural enrichment. New applicants must submit their applications by August 1, while returning applicants have until September 1. Unfortunately, requests for general operating expenses, capital improvements, and individual scholarships are typically not considered.

The Women's Fund of Southwest Iowa, established by the Community Foundation for Western Iowa, aims to empower women and families in the region. Through strategic partnerships and community insights, the fund supports initiatives that enhance women's self-sufficiency, health, and engagement. Eligible projects must serve primarily women and align with focus areas like health, education, and childcare. This grant provides critical support for programs fostering positive change in southwest Iowa communities.

The Keith Haring Foundation offers grants primarily to support non-profit organizations that provide educational opportunities for underprivileged youth and those affected by HIV/AIDS. Established by the artist Keith Haring in 1989, the foundation focuses on initiatives that foster self-sufficiency among vulnerable populations in New York City and the Southeastern US. It invites applications from organizations dedicated to promoting Haring's legacy through arts and culture, ensuring impactful, evidence-based programming.

The PDCED Appalachian Regional Commission Grant supports economic development in Pennsylvania's Appalachian Region. It funds projects that enhance job creation, improve infrastructure, and promote business development. The goal is to leverage federal, state, and local resources to strengthen the economy of this 205,000-square-mile area. Funding is prioritized for initiatives that lead to sustainable economic growth, workforce readiness, and improved community capacity. Eligible projects include technical assistance, infrastructure development, and local government support.

The Gordon Foundation for Children and Youth offers the Special Projects Grant Program to support initiatives that enhance the mental health and well-being of children and youth. This program funds a variety of projects, including sensory rooms for children with special needs, newsletters for youth in care, and educational trips for urban students to rural communities. Eligible applicants include individuals, schools, and organizations dedicated to improving youth mental health.

The Joan Rajkovich McGarry Family Education Endowment Grant focuses on enhancing family and consumer sciences in Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties. Dedicated to improving nutrition and physical activity, it supports innovative, evidence-based programs for children and families, particularly addressing obesity. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations, educational institutions, and governmental entities. Applications are accepted annually in the fall, prioritizing creative proposals that align with Michigan State University Extension resources.

The Colorado Outdoor Regional Partnership Capacity Grants, offered by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Great Outdoors Colorado, provide funding ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 to support regional collaborations in conservation and recreation planning. This initiative invites coalitions to enhance outdoor recreation experiences and promote sustainable practices across Colorado. Eligible applicants include non-profits and government entities committed to building diverse coalitions focused on community-driven conservation goals. The grants cover one to two-year terms, requiring a 10% match.

The Hardman Fund for North Adams Grant supports projects that enrich the lives of residents in North Adams, Clarksburg, Florida, and Stamford, MA. Established by the Hardman families, it focuses on arts, historic preservation, health, education, and social services. The Fund prioritizes initiatives addressing emergency needs and encourages collaborations among organizations. Grants vary based on available funding and project significance, aiming to uplift communities facing economic challenges.

The Skillman Foundation Grant Partners program aims to empower Detroit youth through strategic partnerships that transform education systems. While they typically invite applications proactively, they remain open to connecting with organizations that support young people in Detroit. Eligible partners include nonprofit organizations and public agencies, with a focus on those offering inclusive opportunities for all youth. The foundation emphasizes advocacy for policy changes that benefit children in the community.

The HEAL Initiative aims to combat the opioid crisis through action-oriented research that enhances the translation of addiction epidemiology, prevention, treatment, and recovery services into practice. It prioritizes scalable, evidence-based approaches targeting various levels, including individual and community. The initiative supports a range of methods for research deployment, emphasizing collaboration between researchers and decision-makers to improve outcomes for those affected by addiction and related chronic pain.

The Williamsburg Health Foundation (WHF) offers the Responsive Grant to enhance health in Greater Williamsburg. This private foundation supports nonprofit organizations and government agencies focused on improving opportunities for uninsured and underinsured populations. The Central Minnesota "Difference Maker" Grants aim to foster significant advancements in racial equity across the region. Funded by the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, these grants, ranging from $10,000 to $30,000, support eligible nonprofits, schools, and government entities serving Benton, Stearns, and Sherburne Counties. The initiative encourages collaborative projects addressing racial disparities and community engagement, promoting sustainable impacts and additional investments.

The Natural Areas Research Grant - Allison Cusick and Daniel Rice Research Grant Program, managed by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, aims to support research that enhances understanding and conservation of Ohio’s biological resources, including plants, animals, and fungi. Named after key contributors to Ohio's ecological knowledge, this program funds projects that align with its mission to preserve natural heritage. Grants of up to $5,000 are available for eligible individuals and organizations.

The 2026 Alaska Marine Education and Training Mini-Grant Program seeks to enhance workforce development in marine-related professions and improve seafood safety and management. This initiative encourages projects that foster technological innovations in fishing practices and promote outreach on sustainability and quality of seafood. By strengthening partnerships among industry, researchers, and communities, the program aims to build a competitive and sustainable marine community in Alaska, with all projects required to be conducted within the state.

The Greater Milwaukee Foundation Grant Cycle 1 supports projects and programs that align with priorities for creating a Milwaukee for all. Funding is available for arts, basic needs, housing, and physical health initiatives. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and governmental agencies, with specific requirements for board diversity. The foundation does not fund individuals, for-profit organizations, or partisan activities. The grant cycle accepts one application per organization.

Native Seed growing Program (NV)

The State of Nevada, Department of Agriculture is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide native seed growing services as described in the scope of work and attachments. The State intends to award up to six (6) contracts in conjunction with this solicitation, as determined in the best interests of the State. The Department of Agriculture shall administer contract(s) resulting from this solicitation. The resulting contract(s) are expected to be for a contract term of four years, subject to Board of Examiner’s approval.

This project is a subset of a larger, partnership-driven project that aims to target 4 main objectives:

• Native seed collection;
• Native seed cleaning and storage;
• Native seed production; and
• Creation of a native seed equipment network.

This particular project addresses one primary objective: enhancing native seed production in Nevada. We intend to achieve this through both a physical increase in the total supply of a diverse cache of native species and increasing the technical knowledge and experience of growing native species for Nevada-based producers. The achievement of this objective is entirely reliant upon the ability of local landowners and agricultural producers to plant seed stock that will enable restoration practitioners to have access to desirable, locally adapted speciesfor re-seeding projects.

 Project managers will be tasked with the goal of obtaining the appropriate starter seed and providing those species to eligible producers for increase, while simultaneously selecting seed that is genetically appropriate for replanting within the Great Basin region. Eligible producers will be provided with technicalsupport and the best possible plant materials throughout the project period. It is the intent of this project to fund production efforts for increase by way of state contracting and to obtain an increase in materials used for public restoration projects statewide. Seed yields from increase efforts will be re-admitted to the funding agency and ultimately will be re-allocated to federal and state agencies for use on restoration projects throughout the Great Basin. Funding for production will vary based upon species selected and is limited to 3 overarching categories:

• $4,000.00/acre, 
• $5,000.00/acre,
• $6,000.00/acre

The total amount of funding available to support this initiative is $316,445.00. 

The Three Rivers Community Foundation Grant supports local non-profits in enhancing community services. Focused on building stronger communities, it awards grants for projects in human services, education, social and cultural initiatives, and public issues. Eligible applicants include local 501(c)(3) organizations and government agencies seeking to align their programs with the foundation's priorities. The grants aim to improve the quality of life and foster community engagement and development.

The McMillen Foundation Grants Program supports research in cardiology, lipids, and organ transplant, along with educational initiatives and social services in Washington and Alaska. With a single grant cycle annually, nonprofits certified under 501(c)(3) can apply for funding, preferably those benefiting children and promoting equity. The foundation emphasizes programs that leverage the arts to foster social change, impacting youth and disadvantaged communities. Applications must be submitted by July 31 to be considered for the current cycle.

The Emerging Scholars Award, offered by the Civitan International Research Center, provides crucial funding for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows engaged in neurodevelopmental research. This initiative aims to enhance understanding of brain development and related disorders. Proposals are invited from UAB campus for innovative research projects that explore normal and abnormal brain development, cognition, and the impact of environmental toxins. This program is supported by generous donations and matching funds from various organizations.

The Sensata Foundation, established in 2017, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting community development and STEM education across the U.S. With a focus on improving access to STEM resources and empowering youth, the Foundation partners with nonprofits to address food insecurity, homelessness, and environmental sustainability. By fostering community partnerships and providing financial support, Sensata Foundation aims to inspire future leaders and enhance the quality of life for all, particularly in underserved areas.

Environmental Justice Grant Program

The Colorado Environmental Justice Grant Program: Community solutions to improve environmental health

The Environmental Justice Grant Program funds projects to ensure every community has a healthy environment in which to live, learn, work, and play.

These projects help measure, prevent, or reduce pollution in disproportionately impacted communities. Disproportionately impacted communities include low-income communities, communities of color, communities impacted by pollution and climate change, and additional categories. Funding can also help pay for technical assistance to help community organizations most effectively participate in rulemaking hearings. The Environmental Justice Act created this grant opportunity to help communities disproportionately impacted by pollution and climate change. The Environmental Justice Advisory Board oversees the program and serves as the grant selection committee.

The grant program will fund projects that measure, prevent, or reduce pollution to protect public health or restore the environment. Projects can focus on any of the following topics:

• Air quality.
• Water quantity and quality.
• Waste.
• Land use.
• Built environment.
• Climate.
• Noise.
