Charitable Contributions

Costco Wholesale’s primary charitable efforts specifically focus on programs supporting children, education, and health and human services in the communities where we do business. Throughout the year we receive a large number of requests from nonprofit organizations striving to make a positive impact, and we are thankful to be able to provide support to a variety of organizations and causes. While we would like to respond favorably to all requests, understandably, the needs are far greater than our allocated resources and we are unable to accommodate them all.

Warehouse donations are handled at the warehouse level - please consult your local warehouse for up-to-date information regarding their donations contacts and review process.

Grant Applications

If the request is under consideration, you may be contacted by staff for any additional information needed. Applications are reviewed within 4-6 weeks, and decisions are made based on several factors, including: type of program; identified community need not otherwise available; indication that evidenced based data will establish measurable results of intended outcomes; community collaboration; broad base of financial support; project budget and operating expenses.

The Creag Foundation is a private grant making foundation established in 2009 in Woodinville, Washington.

The founders of the Creag Foundation believe that meaningful change can only be achieved through hard work, creativity and passion. They also understand the practical mechanisms that allow charitable organizations to succeed and grow. As a group, Creag Foundation principals are dedicated to helping today’s most innovative programs improve the human condition in a wide variety of ways.

Our Focus

The broad purpose of the Foundation is to support the efforts of nonprofit organizations who are innovators in the field of human services. Our particular focus is on smaller organizations that are starting out or established organizations that are looking for funding to take their organization in a new direction.

The Creag Foundation is focused on innovation in the industry. We will consider proposals from 501(c)(3) organizations that are finding new ways to address societal issues facing the nonprofit community. Applicants must have held 501(c)(3) status for one year before submitting. If your organization has held 501(c)(3) status for over a year, and your believe that your organization has a new approach to an existing social problem or is addressing a previously unaddressed social issue, you are welcome to contact us and request that we consider your organization for a funding opportunity.

Mission

The DanPaul Foundation will use its resources to help train teachers and parents in early childhood development, protect children from abuse and neglect, stimulate children's personal social responsibilities, and offer them opportunities for enrichment and growth.

The Foundation will also encourage children to be concerned and informed about the environment and the underprivileged, particularly with regard to clean air and water, and adequate housing and nutrition for all.

Beliefs

The DanPaul Foundation believes that children should have ample opportunities for enrichment in their lives, and thus strives to provide many different ways to enrich and expand children's minds through direct programs and monetary support to organizations doing similar work.

We have provided or currently provide grants related to the following program areas:

• Workshops, Conferences, + Seminars: We strive to offer educational workshops, conferences, and seminars for parents and teachers on topics related to early childhood development.
• Student Scholarships: We aim to help students attending post-secondary education institutions by providing need-based and academic scholarships.
• Scientific Endeavors: We desire to advance scientific endeavors which seek to improve the quality of life for everyone in the world.
• Clean Air + Water: We hope to pass on knowledge and practical life skills to youth regarding their personal responsibility to the environment, teaching them about issues surrounding clean air and water.
• Child Advocacy: We believe in protecting children from abuse and neglect and particularly love to support programs that provide education and assistance to children as well as organizations advocating or caring for vulnerable children.
• Homelessness: We want to encourage young people to take a personal interest in seeing that adequate housing and proper nutrition, especially for the underprivileged and homeless, are available.
• Poverty + Neglect: We seek to help those in poverty as well as educate youth about their responsibility to consider the underprivileged and take care of those most in need of life's basic essentials like adequate housing and proper nutrition.
• Refugee Enrichment: We wish to help refugee youth by supporting programs that provide them enrichment and help them transition to life in a new country.

The DanPaul Foundation provides grants to 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organizations as defined by the IRS. The Foundation is interested in providing funding to programs that directly serve the health, education, development, and welfare of the world's youth.

Grants range from a few hundred dollars up to $15,000 per calendar year.

Global Impact Cash Grants

Identifying and incubating innovative early-stage solutions. We identify, incubate, and develop innovative early-stage solutions with the highest potential for impact. Global Impact Cash Grants go to nonprofit organizations (NPOs) and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) that address a significant social problem. We're looking for programs that fit within our investment sectors, focus on the underserved, and use technology to improve the reach and efficiency of services.

The Labcorp Charitable Foundation

We believe every person deserves equitable care and education.

In 2020 Labcorp established a private charitable 501(c)(3) foundation to advance our desire to bring quality healthcare access to all by supporting education and our local communities.

The Sidney Stern Memorial Trust is devoted solely to the funding of charitable, scientific, medical and educational organizations.

The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation was incorporated in 2017 with the goal of serving individuals in the communities in southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

The Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation provides funding to nonprofit organizations serving communities in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island whose mission supports and enriches the lives of families and children. The Foundation’s goal is to assist those burdened by life’s challenges by providing access to vital resources including, but not limited to, health and mental health services, food and shelter.

State Street Foundation

As a global organization, we recognize the role we play in supporting the economic vitality of our communities. Through State Street Foundation, our charitable arm, we make grants to nonprofits and non-governmental organizations, with a focus on creating lasting economic benefits in the communities where we live and work. The Foundation invests in high-performing nonprofits that are achieving measurable results in basic education, college success and credentials, and employability.

We know that being a good corporate citizen drives employee engagement, enhances our reputation with clients and potential employees, improves brand recognition and builds public trust. In addition to financial support, the Foundation also manages a charitable board matching program, providing training and support for State Street employees to serve as members of boards of directors for charitable organizations. Grant Guidelines

State Street Foundation, Inc. seeks to promote economic opportunity by reducing equity gaps in educational achievement and employability in communities where State Street Corporation operates.

Mission and Strategy

State Street Foundation, Inc. seeks to promote economic opportunity by reducing equity gaps in educational achievement and employability. We do this by making general operating support investments in non-profit charitable organizations that:

• Operate in communities where State Street Corporation has a business presence
• Have a demonstrated track record of supporting people aged 14 and over in the areas of educational achievement and employability
• Share a commitment to and demonstrate leadership in diversity, equity and inclusion, including addressing equity gaps based on race, ethnicity, socio-economic status and/or other diversity dimensions as applicable in the organization’s location

Organizational Impact

Organizations must be able to show measurable outcomes through reporting, including the following metrics:

• Organizational diversity across the dimensions of Leadership, Staff, Populations Served, Board of Directors, and Executive Director, and
• Numbers and diversity of participants gaining access to basic skills that lead to lifelong success (including high school/secondary degree or equivalent), and/or

A focus on Racial Equity

State Street Foundation is committed to creating more equitable communities by investing in high-impact nonprofit and charitable organizations reducing gaps in educational achievement and employability due to race, ethnicity and socioeconomic status. Our grantmaking guidelines focus on racial equity and social justice, reflecting our commitment to combatting racism and inequality as a core tenet of our grantmaking in education and workforce development. These guidelines are an outgrowth of our work in 2020-2021 with an independent, external consulting partner who systematically evaluated our eastern Massachusetts grant portfolio from a racial equity perspective.

Cummings $30 Million Grant Program

Cummings Foundation has awarded more than $600 million to date in greater Boston. In 2026, it will grant an additional $30 million. These funds will be shared by 150 local-area nonprofits and will be awarded as multi-year grants, to be paid over either three or 10 years.

Priority Funding Causes

The Cummings $30 Million Grant Program funds a wide variety of local causes related to:

Human services

• housing and food security, anti-poverty, disabilities, employment training, immigrant/refugee assistance, legal assistance, senior citizens, strong families/communities, youth activities/services

Social justice

• equity, anti-hate, opportunity gap remediation, representation

Education

• K-12/college, mentoring/tutoring, out-of-school time, complementary programs

Healthcare

• hospitals/clinics, mental health

The Environment

• environmental education, equitable access to outdoor spaces, recycling/waste reduction, sustainable agriculture and food systems (This program does not currently consider requests for research, land preservation, and large capital projects)

The Bruce J. Anderson Foundation provides grants for programs, direct services and new initiatives in the fields of mental health (treatment, research and suicide prevention, with a particular interest in mental health services supporting LGBTQIA young people), environmental protection, historic and archival preservation, and the arts. Grants are made for organizations and activities focused on two geographical areas: Cape Ann and Nashoba Valley.

The Bruce J. Anderson Foundation focuses its grantmaking in two geographical areas of Massachusetts:

• Cape Ann (specifically, the communities of Gloucester, Rockport, Essex and Manchester)
• Nashoba Valley (specifically, the communities of Harvard, Ayer, Groton, Pepperell, Shirley and Townsend.

Requests are sought in the $2,500 to $12,000 range. Grant funds are available to support activities that occur after July 1, 2024. Approved requests may be fully or partially funded. Please note that the Board of Directors favors:

• Programs that will serve a wide segment of the community and assist those who are not served adequately by existing resources.
• Demonstration projects that provide practical approaches for dealing with specific problems, and
• Programs where the Foundation’s contribution is likely to leverage additional support.

About the Foundation

Jesse W. Couch lived a life of zeal, honor, and dedication to the betterment of his community. The Couch family now humbly stewards the foundation he created to carry on his legacy of service for future generations. We believe that impact is best accomplished through partnerships with local organizations that know the people and communities they serve. We invest in and support efforts to protect the environment, further conservation and preservation initiatives, and save historical architecture that preserves community heritage. We also support initiatives that promote wellness and mental health and organizations seeking to provide and further education for all communities.

Annual Grant Focus

Each year, we seek to partner with and support non-profit organizations making an impact in the focus areas listed here.  The focus areas for 2025 are:

• Animal Wellbeing: We are dedicated to helping nonprofit organizations that nurture compassion and respect for all living animals. We must have animal-focused organizations that advocate for animal rights and provide humane treatment across all spectrums.

New England States Touring (NEST) funds performances, readings, and screenings of work by regional, national, and international artists presented by New England-based nonprofit organizations.

Program Goals

• Expand direct access to high quality artists and aesthetic diversity for all New England communities by artists from New England, the nation, and across the globe.
• Stimulate opportunities for collaboration and partnerships among New England cultural organizations and between artists and organizations.
• Encourage projects that provide meaningful interaction between artists and communities, extending beyond the stage.

NEST Artists

NEST artists are professional artists from New England who meet the NEST artist requirements. They represent a wide range of disciplines, including dance, folk art, interdisciplinary work, media, music, musical theater, opera, poetry, storytelling, and theater. NEST artists must be available for public performances and must maintain a permanent residence in New England.

About the New England States Touring Grant Program

There are three distinct grant opportunities for New England nonprofit organizations: NEST 1, NEST 2, and NEST 3. Organizations serving rural communities and/or deeply engaging Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities are encouraged to apply.

NEST 1

Funds the public presentation and engagement of a New England artist presented by a New England nonprofit organization based in a different New England state from the artist’s home state. 

NEST 2

Funds the public presentation and community engagement activities of a New England artist presented by two New England nonprofit organizations. Tours must include one presenting organization based inside of the artist’s home state and one other organization from outside of the artist’s home state.

NEST 3

Funds tours, including public presentation and community engagement activities, of regional, national, or international artists presented by New England nonprofit organizations. Tours must include a minimum of three New England organizations in different communities presenting the same artist. The organizations applying must be from at least two different New England states. 

• Each organization is responsible for reviewing the program goals and criteria, negotiating the terms of the engagement with the artist, and completing a NEST 3 application.
• Organizations may submit up to three NEST 3 applications.
• The annual deadline is the first business day of March.
• Grants provide up to 60% of the artist fee to a maximum of $10,000.
  • Applications with artist fees under $2,000 may request the full artist fee.
• New England artists must be listed as NEST-eligible on CreativeGround.
• For non-New England artists, an artist work sample must be submitted by one of the touring partners.
• Grant period: Touring projects must occur between June 1, 2025 - August 31, 2026.

Deadlines

NEST 1 & 2 grant deadlines occur three times a year, as follows:

• First business day of August, for projects beginning on or after November 1.
• First business day of December, for projects beginning on or after March 1.
• First business day of March, for projects beginning on or after June 1.

The annual NEST 3 grant deadline is the first business day of March.   

New Creative Experiences Grants to Support Wide Variety of Cultural Activities

Mass Cultural Council believes that cultural experiences celebrate creative expression, provide a vital space for connection, and are an essential resource for the health and well-being of the Commonwealth.

We are thrilled to launch Creative Experiences, a new grant program for organizations that supports activities in the arts, humanities, and sciences that invite public participation, spark engagement, and contribute to the vitality of our communities.

These one-year grants of $2,500 or $5,000 will fund a variety of cultural programs taking place between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026.

Funded activities may include festivals, performances, artist residencies, educational programs, conservation initiatives, and other creative projects designed to make cultural experiences more accessible.

Eligible projects must be open and accessible to the public. They may also serve portions of the general public that require specific accommodations, such as K-12 students in schools, older adults in care settings, incarcerated individuals, people with disabilities, and/or individuals in recovery programs.

Creative Experiences merges the former Festivals & Projects and Creative Projects for Schools grant programs into a single, streamlined opportunity.

The number of grants awarded will depend on Mass Cultural Council’s FY26 state budget appropriation and FY26 spending plan, which is expected to be approved by the governing Council in August 2025.

The Lawrence Foundation is a private family foundation focused on making grants to support environmental, human services and other causes.

The Lawrence Foundation was established in mid-2000. We make both program and operating grants and do not have any geographical restrictions on our grants. Nonprofit organizations that qualify for public charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or other similar organizations are eligible for grants from The Lawrence Foundation.  

Grant Amount and Types

Grants typically range between $5,000 - $10,000. In some limited cases we may make larger grants, but that is typically after we have gotten to know your organization over a period of time. We also generally don’t make multi-year grants, although we may fund the same organization on a year by year basis over a period of years.

General operating or program/project grant requests within our areas of interests are accepted. In general, regardless of whether a grant request is for general operating or program/project expenses, all of our grants will be issued as unrestricted grants.

Katharine C. Pierce Trust

Mission

The Katharine C. Pierce Trust was established to provide support for women "in reduced circumstances, that their lives may be made more comfortable."

Guidelines

The Katharine C. Pierce Trust funds in two primary areas: Direct Service and Little Necessities. The proposal process and deadlines differ accordingly.

The Pierce Trust supports nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, focused in the area of health and human services, to provide support to women "in reduced circumstances, that their lives may be made more comfortable."

Examples of support for organizations serving women include:

• Homecare supports for elderly women (congregate or non-congregate setting).
  • Examples: organizations working to provide nourishing food, home safety evaluations, transportation assistance, and those working to reduce isolation, and address the physical and mental health of this population.
• Adult day health services for older women, and women with disabilities.
• Emergency assistance to women of any age.
  • Examples: organizations working with women who have been victims of domestic violence, are being treated for substance abuse disorders, or may be unhoused/experiencing homelessness.

The above list is not exhaustive, but is meant to be demonstrative of the types of activities that might be considered.

The average grant size for a one-year commitment is $10,000.

The deadline to apply for direct service grants is May 1.

The Pierce Trust’s process for Little Necessities is administered by Mass Home Care, and is limited to members of Mass Home Care. This program gives authorized home care managers access to "last dollar" grants to help older women live safely and comfortably. A Little Necessity might be a microwave for someone unable to use a stove; a railing in the hallway to prevent falls; an air conditioner in the summer to prevent asthmatic attacks; payments towards chore service to clean up an apartment that has deteriorated; a security deposit needed to secure a new apartment; a mattress for someone who has been sleeping on the floor. This list is not exhaustive, but is meant to be demonstrative of the types of items that might be considered "little necessities."

Max and Victoria Dreyfus Foundation Grant

The Foundation will consider requests to support museums, cultural and performing arts programs; schools and hospitals; educational, skills-training and other programs for youth, seniors, and persons with disabilities; environmental and wildlife protection activities; and other community-based organizations and programs.

We understand the often unspoken hardships and struggles that people in and outside of our community face everyday. Centene Charitable Foundation

Successful corporate citizenship happens when companies invest in the local organizations that know their communities best. The Centene Foundation works with our local partners on initiatives that focus on inclusion, the whole person and community development.

Vision

Centene’s purpose is transforming the health of the community, one person at a time. The Centene Foundation is an essential part of how we pursue this purpose. Mission

The Robert J. Mullen Charitable Trust was established in 1998 and began grantmaking in 2022. The Mullen Charitable Trust supports organizations and programs that “provide aid or assistance to disabled children, the elderly or infirm, or which provide care for and protection from cruelty to animals.” The Trust supports nonprofit organizations serving Massachusetts communities.

Program interests include:

• Aid or assistance for children with disabilities
• Aid or assistance for older adults, or adults with disabilities
• Care and protection of animals

Guidelines

The Robert J. Mullen Charitable Trust's application deadline is June 1. Grant applicants will be notified of grant decisions by the end of September.

Aid or assistance to children with disabilities or older adults may be for physical and/or mental disabilities/mental health programs.

Grant requests for general operating support or program support are encouraged. Small, program-related capital expenses may be included in general operating or program requests. Agencies with organizational budgets over $10MM are discouraged from seeking general operating support, unless their entire operation is devoted to one of the three program interests outlined under mission.

Typical grants range from $20,000 to $50,000 per grant year.

The majority of grants from The Robert J. Mullen Charitable Trust are 1 year in duration. On occasion, multi-year support is awarded.

Gupta Family Foundation is a private, nonprofit foundation headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, USA. Our mission is to support organizations that provide focused intervention in the lives of people who have been disadvantaged in some way to help them become self-reliant. We take a very broad view of “disadvantage” to include anything that holds a person back from realizing their potential, such as poverty, physical or mental disability, social alienation, etc. The foundation also supports relief agencies that serve people affected by emergencies such as natural disasters.

The foundation evaluates and awards annual and multi-year grants ranging from $5,000 to over $250,000 (USD). Our focus is on funding smaller organizations all around the world that are led by individuals with a deep personal commitment to their missions. 

Our selection criteria include:

• Mission alignment
• The organization is run by the founder or, if not, by a successor who embodies the original inspiration, passion and commitment of the founder.
• At least 90% of grant monies reaches the intended beneficiaries.
• The organization is non-sectarian, i.e.,
  • It does not, directly or indirectly, support or condone the proselytization of any religion,
  • It is not supported by or affiliated to a religious organization.

Philanthropic grants are a strong part of our community outreach and aid institutions needing financial support to meet important service goals.

Event Sponsorship

Fundraising events are an important part of nonprofit support. Insperity provides event sponsorships to approved charities to assist them in meeting their financial and community goals.

Greater Lawrence Community Fund Grant Guidelines

The Greater Lawrence Community Fund (formerly Merrimack Valley General Fund) provides program support for nonprofit organizations serving four communities in the Greater Lawrence community of Massachusetts.

Funding Priorities

The Greater Lawrence Community Fund directs support to essential needs in four communities in Greater Lawrence: Lawrence, Methuen, Andover and North Andover with a focus on the city of Lawrence. These needs include: hunger, clothing, shelter and education. Shelter is defined as affordable housing or shelter programs, but not actual construction projects. The GLCF Grants Committee looks favorably on collaborative projects.

Selection Criteria

When reviewing proposals, the GLCF Grants Committee considers:

• Programs that meet a documented need, are well planned and include evaluation procedures
• Organizations that have the capacity to support the proposed project and have a sound financial plan.
• Projects that offer the most significant impact for the contribution dollar.
• The project’s potential impact on the participants.
• The needs of the target population.
• Potential for continuation or impact beyond the grant period.

Proposals should demonstrate how the requested funds will be used directly in the program itself or in the building of the organization's physical or governing capacity.

Usually grants are made for specific programs or activities with objectives that can be assessed within a one-year grant period. General operating support is sometimes provided to small organizations (e.g. under $500,000 annual operating budget).

About the Latino Equity Fund

The Latino Equity Fund (LEF) at the Boston Foundation is the first and only community fund in Massachusetts dedicated to activating, convening, and supporting the Latinx community in Greater Boston and across the Commonwealth. Established in 2013, LEF serves as a permanent resource to uplift Latinx voices, foster cross-sector partnerships, and advance systemic change. The Fund works to mobilize Latinx residents, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders toward Nuestro Futuro—Our Future. 

About this Application Cycle

For the FY26 grant cycle, LEF will award one-time $25,000 grants to 20 Latinx-serving nonprofit organizations within the Boston Foundation’s catchment area. LEF seeks proposals from community-based nonprofits advancing the well-being and economic mobility of Latinx residents in the following priority areas:

Basic needs:

• Housing stability  
• Food security
• Health care access (including, but not limited to: disabilities assistance, HIV prevention, elder care, mental health and well-being, and substance use)
• Legal aid  

Economic Mobility:

• Job readiness and career coaching
• ESOL and Language access
• Immigrant/refugee workforce integration
• Professional credentialing and certification
