Chesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense (WILD) Program

The Chesapeake Watershed Investments for Landscape Defense (WILD) Grants Program delivered in partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service supports efforts to improve the condition and connectivity of habitats for at risk and federally listed species.

The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is committed to operating in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Executive Orders. This fund aims to support essential services for vulnerable populations by providing bridge funding, covering costs associated with workforce reductions, and facilitating transitions to new service providers. Designed for immediate needs, it helps ensure that nonprofits can maintain their critical operations during this crisis.

The Citizens Charitable Foundation offers grants focused on Workforce Development and Financial Empowerment. Organizations applying must be IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofits located in specific states. The NIA — Neighbors in Action program, initiated in 2025, aims to empower community-driven projects in Rochester. With grants ranging from $250 to $10,000, it invites neighborhood associations, block clubs, and community organizations to apply. Established to revitalize local neighborhoods, NIA promotes resident engagement and action. Since its inception, it has funded numerous initiatives to enhance community connections and foster collaboration among residents, striving for a more connected and vibrant Rochester.

The Vitality Grants: Arts Education program by the Rochester Area Community Foundation aims to enhance equitable access to arts education for PreK-12 students in the region. By supporting local nonprofit organizations, the grant encourages vibrant arts programming, geographic equity, and increased student engagement. Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) organizations and those with fiscal sponsors, focusing on overcoming barriers like transportation and childcare to ensure comprehensive participation in arts education initiatives.

The New Car Dealers of WNY Charitable Foundation Grant aims to enhance the well-being of children and families in Western New York. By providing financial support to not-for-profit organizations, the foundation seeks to increase their visibility and impact. Registered not-for-profit organizations can apply for restricted grants, with the board of trustees meeting twice a year to review applications. This initiative reflects the foundation's commitment to community enrichment and support.

The LGBT+ Giving Circle Grant supports organizations that are inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community in the Greater Rochester area. Established in 2011, it aims to enhance community diversity through projects aligned with its mission. Eligible organizations must hold 501(c)(3) status and have a nondiscrimination policy that includes LGBT+ individuals. The grant does not fund special events, fundraising campaigns, or religious activities, ensuring focused support for impactful initiatives.

Our Mission

The mission of the Jean Griswold Foundation is to support Caregivers by providing educational scholarships* to enable them to further their training, enhance their careers, and better assist the clients they serve.

By offering educational scholarships*, our Foundation will not only make a positive impact on the Caregivers themselves, but also the clients they assist and the home healthcare agencies where they are employed, as well as help advance the overarching home-care industry.

Scholarships will be paid directly to the federally accredited educational institutions of the winning Scholars’ choosing.

Applicants do not have to be associated with Griswold in any way, and the funds will be paid directly to the institution where the caregiver will be receiving education.
