Bell's Brewery Sponsorships and Donations
Sponsored events and donations play a key role within our Bell’s philosophy. Through these events, we are able to not only give back to the communities we sell our beer in, but also get to have a great time with our fans! We are always looking for new opportunities and welcome your suggestions and applications. Please keep in mind that while we would love to be able to participate in everything, we sometimes must respectfully decline.
We do have a few guidelines we follow for all sponsorships and donations, please read through them below before proceeding to our application.
- Requests must be submitted at least 8 weeks prior to the event start date or the date the donation is needed. Any events submitted with less than 8 weeks’ notice will automatically be declined. We want to give every event we are involved in the best chance for success, which means we need time to plan. While 8 weeks is our minimum time requirement, additional time is always appreciated, especially for larger events.
- We do very little traditional advertising, instead we focus our efforts on sponsorships. When we partner with an event or an organization, we like to be involved! That said, if your proposal only involves a logo placement, we will politely decline in favor of events that offer us a chance to interact with our fans.
- We’re an eccentric bunch here at Bell’s and love to be involved with events that reflect your community’s eccentricities, uniqueness and inclusivity.
- We are always happy to consider requests for donations of Bell’s swag for homebrew competitions, fundraisers and events! That said, due to Michigan state law, we are not legally allowed to donate beer to events in any state. We’re sorry, but we legally cannot make any exceptions.

Citizens focuses on two specific funding areas, supporting programs that:
- Teach Money Management by supporting financial literacy programs that provide individuals and businesses with the tools needed to be fiscally healthy.
- Strengthen Communities through economic development, job training and small business development.
We focus our funding on projects that serve diverse, underserved populations and neighborhoods and demonstrate strong results. We look to partner with established 501(c)(3) organizations with programs that strongly align with one or more of the above funding priorities.
Citizens considers sponsorships from a wide range of organizations and encourages creativity and innovation to develop partnerships that benefit both community organizations and the bank. Citizens seeks sponsorships that create valuable, unique and memorable experiences for its customers, colleagues and communities.
CSX is proud to support people and organizations that in turn honor those who serve our communities. We offer monetary and in-kind resources to nonprofit organizations advocating for the betterment of our nation’s military members or community first responders, and have additional resources available to support other community efforts.
In Kind Donations
Intermodal Transportation Services
Intermodal transportation services provide applicable organizations with intermodal equipment and rail service throughout the CSX rail network, and afford these organizations an opportunity to reduce or eliminate their transportation spending.
Ideally, intermodal moves work best when freight is moving 500 miles or more. However, the in-kind moves program requires only that freight have an origin and destination within a combined 250 miles’ distance to a CSX intermodal facility.
CSX’s door-to-door product is an ideal solution for the in-kind moves program, as our trained team will pick up your freight at its origin and transport it to a terminal to be placed on an intermodal train. Then, we will pick up your freight at the destination terminal and deliver it directly to its endpoint. The door-to-door network provides service across the Eastern United States with its large nationwide network and trucking capability.
CSX will also work with you to determine the type of equipment that is an ideal fit to transport your freight. CSX has a large fleet of rail-owned containers, as well as an expansive network of channel partners that can provide equipment to fit your needs.
Railroad Equipment and Materials
CSX occasionally donates materials, supplies and used railroad equipment based on availability. The online in-kind application can be used to request the donation of railroad-related items, including retired rail cars when available. Please note that rail, rail ties and spikes are not available for donation or purchase. Applicants will be contacted if the requested item becomes available within 90 days of their online submittal. At that time, arrangements will be made to transfer possession of the requested item. All applicants will be asked to re-submit their application at a later date if the requested item does not become available within the 90-day period.

Enrichment Through Local Vitality
- We support a wide range of nonprofit organizations that support individuals and families most in need through our Employee Engagement programs, including our Employee Giving Campaign, Matching Gifts. and Dollars for Doers.
- We also make a limited number of contributions in this area with strategic partners such as local United Way chapters in the communities we serve.
Joseph Robert Foundation
Note: The first step for any potential grant recipient will be the submission of a letter of interest. Applicants who are asked to submit full applications will have an additional 30 days (dated from the date of their preliminary acceptance letter) to submit the full application.
The Joseph Robert Foundation is a small Pennsylvania private foundation whose primary purposes are to provide financial support for the arts, animal welfare, and the environment. Our main geographic focus is the mid-Atlantic region of the U.S., but in special cases we may provide support to organizations located outside this area.
We are interested in awarding grants to non-profit organizations addressing significant issues of interest to our Board. We are especially interested in supporting smaller, local organizations that have fewer resources and more limited objectives, although we may also help fund regional or national organizations having specific program or project objectives. Both general operating and project/program support is available.
We welcome first-time grant seekers, support applications from prior grant recipients, and reach out to find eligible organizations that share our goals and interests.
What We Fund
We believe strongly in the power of the arts to transform both individuals and communities and are committed to reinforcing the importance of the arts as a vital component of our culture. In challenging political times such as these, the role of the arts is too often overlooked, or even denigrated. We want to play our part in asserting the value of the arts by encouraging artists to take risks, explore new possibilities, and reach out to both new and familiar audiences. By nurturing creativity and innovative thinking, we can help artists make an impact on the world around them.
While we are supportive of all forms of creative expression, the interests of the Foundation are primarily in the visual arts. We will also look favorably upon interdisciplinary projects/programs with a visual arts component, or an arts program/project that would further the goals of either of the other of the Foundation’s areas of interest.
The plight and circumstances of animals, whether domestic, farm or wild, are areas of deep concern to the Foundation. We are interested in rescuing, protecting, rehabilitating, and providing homes and sanctuaries for the non-human inhabitants of this planet. We are especially interested in helping organizations that identify and provide resources for animal populations in underserved communities. We are also interested in helping with programs that train and educate wildlife rehabilitators and other animal rescue workers.
Environment and Sustainable Resources Management
With ever increasing attacks on the environment and environmental protection, it is critically important to protect and preserve our natural resources, open lands, forests, oceans, waterways, watersheds, and green spaces. The Joseph Robert Foundation is primarily interested in supporting smaller, local organizations that can have a direct impact on their communities, whether through education or through sustainability projects. We may also be interested in contributing to larger organizations that provide essential services to protect and safeguard the environment from threats of all natures.
The normal grant period will be one year, starting from the date the award has been granted. When appropriate, grantees may reapply for Joseph Robert Foundation funding upon the submission of a final report at the end of the funding period.
Most grant awards to organizations will be under $10,000. First-time grant awards will be limited to $5,000 or less, unless there are compelling circumstances. Determination of the grant amount will be made based on organizational and/or program/project budgets, scope of proposal, organizational qualifications, and overall application quality. Grants to individuals will be limited to $2,000 or less, with sources of matching and in-kind funds considered.
Organizations may apply for general operating (GO) and/or program/project funds, but larger organizations are limited to applying for program/project funding.
Individual applicants may only apply for project funds.
The Wawa Foundation provides financial grants on a local, regional and national level ensuring that our commitment extends from the local communities Wawa serves to the regional footprint Wawa occupies in the mid-Atlantic and Florida. Only registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations operating in Wawa’s six-state area are eligible to apply. Wawa Foundation Financial Grants
Our submission windows for grants over $2,500 will be the months of January, April, July and October. Qualified organizations can submit grant requests and Letters of Inquiry during those timeframes. Requests will be reviewed and organizations will receive a response before the next grant submission window opens.
Areas of Focus
The Wawa Foundation will provide funding to organizations committed to saving and improving lives in the communities Wawa serves. Specifically, The Wawa Foundation will support organizations dedicated to Championing Life-saving Research & Care for People in Need by:
- Providing grants to hospitals with a focus on pediatric institutions
- Funding research
- Supporting care and comfort Initiatives
The Wawa Foundation will play a leading role in hunger relief in the communities Wawa serves. To achieve this, we will support programs that enable us to Lead Hunger Relief Efforts by:
- Providing food donations to local pantries daily through Wawa Share
- Improving access to food through financial grants
- Enabling Feeding America Food Banks to reach more communities through annual in-store campaigns
The Wawa Foundation is committed to Supporting the Heroes Making a Difference Every Day by:
- Showing appreciation and care to our military, veterans, first responders and other heroes in our local communities
- Enhancing the education and mentoring of at-risk youth in grades K-12.
- Supporting heroes through crisis response, blood drives, and volunteering

The ACT on Health Equity: Community Solutions Challenge is advancing health equity through the support of community-based non-profit programming that prioritize the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of historically excluded and disenfranchised populations.
The ACT on Health Equity: Community Solutions Challenge will provide up to $1 million in funding to new and existing programs. Organizations may apply for $25,000.
Community-based programs must cover one of the two following areas:
Community Health & Wellbeing
Improve conditions that affect community health and wellbeing including but not limited to housing, environmental and neighborhood safety, nutrition, and access to care.
Next Generation STEM Education
Increase access to education and career readiness in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Programs that address health disparities among historically excluded and disenfranchised populations and prioritize their social, cultural, and linguistic needs.
Nonprofit organizations across the US and US territories are invited to apply for funding to support programs focused within one or more communities
