In 2023, priority will be given to those assisting low-income households, homeless individuals, and vulnerable populations such as immigrants and the disabled. Our Mission

The mission of the Jean Griswold Foundation is to support Caregivers by providing educational scholarships* to enable them to further their training, enhance their careers, and better assist the clients they serve.

By offering educational scholarships*, our Foundation will not only make a positive impact on the Caregivers themselves, but also the clients they assist and the home healthcare agencies where they are employed, as well as help advance the overarching home-care industry.

Scholarships will be paid directly to the federally accredited educational institutions of the winning Scholars’ choosing.

Empowering Caregivers Through Education

The Jean Griswold Foundation Scholarship Program awards scholarships to deserving Caregivers who wish to further their education in a care-related field. Applicants do not have to be associated with Griswold in any way, and the funds will be paid directly to the institution where the caregiver will be receiving education.

The Jean Griswold Foundation is dedicated to supporting Caregivers, the backbone of the care industry. We provide educational scholarships so Care Professionals can further their training, enhance their skills, elevate their careers, and better assist the people they serve.

The Community Endowment of Lexington Grant Program aims to foster philanthropic initiatives that address both immediate and long-term needs in Lexington. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the program will provide up to $100,000 in funding for innovative projects, with individual grants capped at $15,000. Focus areas include health services, arts, environment, and community building, encouraging collaboration among local organizations to enhance the quality of life for residents.

The Putting Patients First Grant Program, supported by Canon Medical and managed by AHRA, aims to enhance patient care and safety in medical imaging. In 2024, five grants of up to $10,000 each will be awarded to hospitals developing training or programs in categories such as Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Safety. Recipients are also required to publish their findings in an AHRA publication, promoting shared best practices across institutions.

The OECD Conference Sponsorship aims to enhance scientific knowledge and provide essential information to influence policy decisions on sustainable resource use in food, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. It supports international events that showcase innovative research and developments, inviting applications from scientists in these fields. The event sponsorship encourages collaboration among policymakers, industry, and academia, ensuring that research insights are effectively communicated and utilized in decision-making processes.

The African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund Grants support the preservation of historic sites that reflect African American cultural heritage. Grants ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 assist projects in areas like Capital Projects, Organizational Capacity Building, Project Planning, and Programming. Eligible applicants include public agencies, accredited colleges, and nonprofits. The program emphasizes themes such as activism, innovation, and historically significant sites, aiming to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of African American history.

The Adams Cheshire Educational Partnership (ACE) Grant aims to enhance educational experiences for students and teachers in the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District. This grant supports projects that promote excellence in education, prioritizing volunteer-driven proposals. Eligible applicants include students, teachers, and community members, while projects may range from independent studies to professional development. Importantly, ACE does not fund salaries or replace public school funding, ensuring that resources are directed towards enriching educational initiatives.

The William J. & Margery S. Barrett Fund supports innovative projects in Adams, Cheshire, and Savoy, MA, focusing on low-income and underserved populations. Established in 1995, it aims to enhance community welfare through grants to nonprofits, municipalities, and civic organizations. Eligible projects include those in arts, education, environment, and health services. The fund encourages collaboration and seeks to improve the quality of life in these communities while requiring a one-to-one match for funding.

The Crane Family Fund Grant supports innovative projects at the intersection of environmental quality and community health. Established in 2008, it aims to fund nonprofit organizations focusing on water quality and educational initiatives in Berkshire County. Beginning in 2024, applicants can apply for funding up to $4,000, with special consideration given to grassroots organizations and programs that engage at-risk youth. The fund promotes sustainable community health and environmental awareness.

The Central Berkshire Fund Grant, established in 2001, supports nonprofit initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents in Becket, Cummington, Dalton, Hinsdale, Peru, Washington, and Windsor. With a focus on low-income and underserved populations, the fund encourages innovative projects in arts, education, environment, and health services. Eligible applicants include nonprofits and public agencies, and priority is given to initiatives that foster community engagement and inclusivity.

The Home Depot Foundation's Veteran Housing Grants Program aims to enhance the lives of U.S. veterans by funding the construction or rehabilitation of supportive housing. Grants, ranging from $100,000 to $500,000, are awarded to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with experience in veteran housing. Since 2011, the Foundation has committed over $550 million to veteran causes and seeks to invest an additional $750 million by 2030, focusing on projects in major cities across the U.S.

The Mobilize Power Fund Grant, offered by the Third Wave Fund, supports youth-led gender justice activism. This rapid response fund targets organizations led by young women of color and LGBTQ+ youth, providing up to $10,000 for urgent needs. It prioritizes groups addressing recent incidents that threaten their work, fostering community power and leadership. Organizations with budgets under $500,000 can apply, aiming for impactful, time-sensitive initiatives that promote social change.
