Beck Foundation Grant
Beck Foundation Inc.
Beck Foundation Grant
The Beck foundation was conceived in 2005, turning one Northern Virginia family's vision to help into a reality. During the first year, the beck foundation made several contributions to the community. Among the recipients of these contributions were the inova kellar center (cardinal bank community fund), and the george mason university foundation.
The Beck Foundation is dedicated to helping those who serve our nation and surrounding communities.
In 2007, the Beck Foundation gave a significant grant to conceive the Beck PRIDE Center for America’s wounded veterans. This new program at Arkansas State University was created to provide personal rehabilitation, individual development, and seamless academic and support services to veterans injured during combat service and their family members. Since conception, the Beck PRIDE Center has exponentially grown, providing education, rehabilitation, and reliable support systems to over 80 veterans.
In addition to providing help to America’s wounded veterans, the Beck Foundation also supports various universities and educational institutions, focusing support more specifically through entrepreneurial developments. Through these developments, the Foundation has been able to support a number of programs: Athletics, Visual and Performing Arts, Engineering, Entrepreneurship and Business Development, and Sports Medicine and Athletic Training. The Beck Foundation has and continues to endow a number of scholarships in the respective fields of study.
As the Beck Foundation grows with each year, it is able to provide more support to a multitude of organizations: local, international, humanitarian, educational, religious, healthcare, military, and government. The Beck family takes pride in serving humanity and proudly cherishes the moment when they decided that helping others was their family business.
Harry A. Merlo Foundation Grant
Harry A Merlo Foundation Inc
Mission
Addressing social challenges & improving quality of life for present and future generations by funding innovative solutions through charitable grants.
The Harry A Merlo Foundation
The Harry A Merlo Foundation partners with nonprofit organizations in many different sectors to bring lasting and positive change to the world. We invite you to explore this site to learn more about who we help, grant opportunities and the application process.
The Harry A. Merlo Foundation is a family foundation with a wide breadth of charitable interests, focusing on programs and investments that address social challenges with innovative solutions. We support funding in five main areas.
- Animal Welfare
- Arts
- Conservation
- Education
- Scientific and Medical Research/Care
The Harry A. Merlo Foundation funds grants to nonprofit organizations in two primary arenas as outlined below:
Program Innovation and Growth
The Merlo Foundation recognizes that innovation is required to best deliver on the mission of a nonprofit organization and keep it responsive to real time challenges. The Merlo Foundation will consider grants that help fund both innovative strategic initiatives and the expansion of existing programs. Grants may be used to cover start-up costs and/or related staff member additions. Evidence of the capacity to assume financial responsibility of a new fixed cost (permanent staff position, program operational costs, etc.) will need to be addressed in the grant application.
Scholarships
Scholarship grants are primarily directed to organizations that educate youth, inclusive of faith-based educational institutions, athletic camps, and music and performing arts. The scholarships must be directed to students that would not be able to access the program offered without financial assistance. Established scholarship programs with written application process/eligibility required.
Funding
- Average amounts for one-time grants range from $5,000-$50,000
- Grants larger than $50,000 are usually structured as multiple year pledges.
A. O. Smith Foundation Grants
A O Smith Foundation Inc
Background
EIn 1955, Ted re-established what was then known as the Glenellen Foundation, renaming it the A. O. Smith Foundation. The Foundation's mission was to support qualifying charitable, educational, human services, scientific, literary, cultural, arts, and civic organizations located primarily in communities where A. O. Smith Corporation has facilities.
Throughout his life, Ted engaged in numerous civic and community activities in Milwaukee. He and his wife Lucy established a convalescent home for children suffering from tuberculosis. Ted also gave a lot of his time to the Medical College of Wisconsin, heading “Project Merit” to raise $17 million to construct a medical education and research complex.
Our Mission
The A. O. Smith Foundation is committed to making our communities a better place to live and work. We achieve this by partnering with and supporting education, arts and culture, health, and human services in the communities in which we operate. At the same time, the Foundation encourages A. O. Smith employees around the world to live the Company’s values through volunteerism and community involvement.
Big G Charitable Foundation Grant
Big G Charitable Foundation
What is the Big G Charitable Foundation?
We strive to protect the helpless and defend the defenseless by supporting the sustainable needs of our planet and those suffering the hardships of illness and societal challenges.
About
Mike Galesi, founder of the Big G Foundation, discovered his passion for giving as a young boy from his father, John (Big G), when they would work together to support less fortunate families in their area. Their shared fulfilling experiences of helping others lead Mike to a lifelong passion to give and assist. Mike’s true passions are ocean and land conservation and providing for those in times of crisis.
Since its founding in 2009, Big G Charitable Foundation has helped support foundations in fighting the good fight and protecting the defenseless. While Big G strives to support all worthy causes our main focuses are conservation, sustainability and emergency relief.
